‎"Bravo"? I don't want to pay for a real ending, but yeah. If this is true, wow. Some excellent writing, planning, everything.

I haven't even finished ME2, but I don't really care if I know the basic plot/endings. I'll still play them out because I enjoy them.

That video is a must watch, though, for people who are confused by the ending(s).

Certainly seems as if it's really true. A lot of evidence points to it.

It hasn't been confirmed that it will have to be bought. Most likely will, but still, the trolling alone is a bravo feature.

So my hours of descisions are still invalidated because at the end shepard is scritly mind controlled? Jebus Ache, id prefer being confused to that.

And then it hit me, holy christ thats unintentionally or notly clever.

Im still buying the DLC though, Eff you bioware, its an addiction, i want my gottenverdamned ending!

I'm in complete support of this, not just because I didn't like the endings, but it just makes sense. And if they do charge for it, I totally blame EA, because EA is an evil money whore.

On the subject of ME3's ending, the guys from Extra Credits give us a breif rundown of why people have been whining about it.

The mere fact that you have to pay for a proper ending, and that people are willing to pay extra for a proper ending, simply blows my mind on so many levels. They've already gotten $60+ out of you, and you're willing to shell out more for what should have been included in the first place? The story may be good, but not THAT good. [unless you support these ridiculous business practices and have money to burn.]

You cant blame Bioware for that, its all EA and their evil money grubbing ways.

But by supporting the practice, you end up making it seem that it is perfectly fine, and EA can continue to do it. I guarantee that the developer gets a cut of the profits from their own DLC by the way.

I'm sure they do, but that doesn't make Bioware the bad guys.

Uhm i just thought of something guiz. At one point in teh game, shepard wonders out loud if he is the real shepard, or a VI.

lemme say that again, perhaps noting the SHEER POTENTIAL FOR BIOWARE TO DO SOMETHIGN WITH IT.

Guiz, what if the shepard that assaulted the citedel, WASNT SHEPARD?

I like this comment in that topic,

"That however means that Starchild remains, that 3-colored edings remains, that plotholes that goes against established canon in Me1 and 2 remains and we´ll get directors cut. Better than nothing but it won´t change the fact that ending sucks."

lol, I see what their saying, but at the end of the day we cant really criticize the dlc until it comes and we see whats in it. Maybe I'm overly optimistic because I don't want to see a series that I hold so close to my heart go down without some closure, but I still have hope.

It'll still be the same endings that invalidates your previous decisions.

Well what about the one where Shepard lives? I mean for me that's like the biggest selling point that they were pulling the indoctrination thing and this announcement doesn't necessarily disprove that.

In the article they state they have no ideas to expand the ending beyond this one. This is how they want Shepard's story to end, so this is how it'll end.

I'm following live blog coverage from the Mass Effect 3 panel at PAX. The indoc theory came up and was answered as follows:

"The indoctrination theory illustrates again how, um, committed the fanbase is..." don't want to comment either way. Don't want to be prescriprive -- fans interpret their own way, plus DLC coming. "We want the content to speak for itself, and we'll let it do so"
