Infinity
Chiro! Welcome here! I honestly didn't expect to see you here, but it is a pleasant surprise! Anyway, try shortening those muzzles a bit on 3/4 and 1/2 views and your stuff will be looking better than ever. And you are improving too. Guest Chiro-Chan
Thanks. You should have seen my 6th grade fanart. That was scary looking. But what do you mean by shortening the muzzles on 3/4 and 1/2 views?
Infinity
Take your recent James pic eating the fish. In my opinion the muzzle is a bit too protruding. The whole facial anatomy in that needs a bit of work. If you'd like me to red line I'd be happy to.
Guest Chiro-Chan
Sure, I don't care if you point out the mistakes. After all, what better way to improove than to learn from your mistakes?
Infinity
http://img480.imageshack.us/img480/3333/redlineam9.jpg I did a quick redline, so it may not be all correct, but you get the general idea. Well I'll say first of all that it looks like it could be a 3/4 view or a 1/2 view with the position of the facial features, but I went with a 3/4 view for a redline, since those look cooler. A fox's muzzle is not that long and the eyes look a bit stretched out too. Your ears are fine, just the position of them needed to be fixed. It does look like you have an animeish influence with your stuff. In all honesty though, I think you should practice anatomy a bit. Look up fox pics on Google and try to see if you can mimic the fox fairly well. You've got much of the right idea, you just need to refine it a bit. Guest Chiro-Chan
Yea, my style is really heavily based on anime, which is why I can't draw realistically at all. I sort of have my own way of drawing foxes. They don't look miuch like a real fox, but then, I have seen much less realistic pictures than mine, so I'll let my style slide again
Mr. Krystal
Hey, I know I've seen your art before, but I can't remember where. Was it fanart-central or the Nintendo N-sider boards? Do you have a gallery? Good stuff from my persective. I can't draw as well as you.
Leo K. Lighthouse
Art isn't about realism unless you want it to be, just remember that... Oh and I really like this on: and this one and this one and this one and this one
Infinity
It does not always have to be realistic, but anime is supposed to be a semi-realistic style... Somehow... I will say that the muzzles could be shortened a bit to add more flare to your drawings. But in order to properly branch out to unrealistic things realism should be attempted, at least that's what I am told.
Leo K. Lighthouse
No, it's more like, how do I say this... have you ever seen something that just didn't look right like a branch on a tree sticking out at an "ugly" angle or a deformed facial feature, something that looked out of place in reality. Drawing is sort of like trying to make something fake look real not necessarily real, but looks believable, it's hard to explain...

And for those of you who are wondering who the psycotic looking guy in the cloak is, that's James. I have a funny way of drawing him, just because I feel like it. xD

Guest Chiro-Chan
I've never joined Devaint Art, or any of those. I just stick my art up on the various forums I attend. I host all of my pictures on PhotoBucket.

Guest Chiro-Chan
Wow. That's alot of links. Good stuff. Yea, I draw alot. xD But those are what have accumulated over about 2 or 3 years, so expect alot of pictures. And thanks! @ Kal: I would, but I've heard alot of bad things on the website, and my only purpose there would be to drive all of the other Star Fox fans insane. Especially the 'ZOMG, YOU MUST MAKE ALL OF THE CHARACTERS LIKE THEY ARE IN THE GAME!' people. xD

Guest Chiro-Chan
As I've heard. But I came here anyways. And I don't get by well on large sites... I've been to SmashBoards before, and I wasn't exactly welcome on there... Oh well. Time for some funny stuff I did in my spare time in paint! A bit of an inside joke. One of the members on AL complained about Bill being a 'hillbilly' in SFC, so... WOOOH! NO PANTS, MAN! (what Fox actually does in his spare time. xD
