Thinking about the future...

I realized something interesting when I took a look at the forum calendar one night to see when people's birthday's were.  I found that I could advance the year forward to 2015, so I did so.  A little less than nine years from now, I will be 29.  Many of the people here will be well inside or entering their late 20's as well.  I thought about how cool it would be if we all were still hanging around here, posting about our lives, our thoughts, and our love for the series.

However, I also realize that those times ahead will also mark the beginning of the rest of our lives for all us, whether it be working to earn a living or living out our careers, or even raising a family.  The future is bright, so let us look toward the light and imagine what we could shape ourselves to be.  But even as we eventually part ways, let us not forget the memories we've shared here, among friends.

In this thread, I encourage all of you to post your thoughts about the future.  About 2015.  About what you want to have accomplished by then.  About what you want to accomplish in life in general.  Free free to look back as well at our time on the forums.

Let our love for Star Fox live on forever.

uhhh at last something interesting.

hmm let me see...on 2015 I would be...close to 28 <_<, I might  be probably hunting golems with slipp xD, naa, I guess I will be happily living somewhere on canada after going to college , finishing my major and advanced studies, since I think all that will take no more than 6 years from now. I dunno if I will be married by then x: ; but I guess I will try to keep contact with my fool friends of the netz (yes, I'm reffering to all you, slipp, dash,XG,TR, and the others <_<), aside from that , I Really don't want to predict anything that might come on my future, I just know, I will be , and always be, the same steve that everyone trully knows (and if not, shame on you D:, j/k xD).

Let's see, in 2015, I'll hopefully have my doctorate and be starting my meteorology career.  However, I don't plan on getting married, in contradiction to probably most everyone else's plans.

Ugh, I'll be in my mid-thirties. >.< Hopefully it won't take me more than 9 years to get my doctorate. On the flip side, I could be in movies/music/other. I'm at a serious crossroads right now as to what I'm going to do with my life.

Woh! 29! UNBILIVEABLE!

I hope by then I'll have an outlet form my chars that I'm always bothering people with (Domino, Mewfii, Ranamon).

I'm probily never live in the USA, well maybe for a mouth or too and not just anywhere, it has to be somewhere I have been to many times...then probliy go back to Canada, not to the same city I've been liveing in now but same province maybe....do some acting, I'm good at that, but never live, always in front of a camera, bit camera shy though so it may be hidden, blue/green screens, costumes, fake weapons that when put through a computer, it will look real....

Maybe even meet some of you guys in person, with or without seeing who I am on Windows Live Messenger or what not....

That's all I can think or right now....hmph...

You mean there's someone around here that's actually older than I am?  Wow...

What are you majoring in?

I'll be 30. By then, I will hopefully have already worked with some studios with a couple popular games. If I can manage to work at Retro Studios, I'll probably be working on Metroid Prime 4 (except that it won't be a Prime game, because MP3 was the last of that series). I'll hopefully have a family by then: a lovely wife, a couple of kids just starting their lives, and a dog or two. I will also probably have made a name for myself already as a web designer (side projects). At least one of my remaining grandparents will probably have died by then, but maybe not, they are all very active. I'll play lots of games, because that'll be my job. I'll probably still enjoy Star Fox games and Krystal, but not nearly as much as I do now.

Linguistics.

And yes, I'm 25½, I'm one of the old crowd in the Star Fox fandom, and it's why I'm always so goddamn cranky.

It all makes sense now. ^_^

Now, if anyone is interested in what I'm doing NOW, I'm currently a sophomore aiming for a Geoscience major with a concentration in Geography and a minor in Physics.  Hopefully I'll be betting my Bachelor's at the end of 2009 before moving to the north and going for my Masters in 2010.

Ambitious! What job will you try to get with that expertise?

I plan on becoming a meteorologist, hopefully.  Maybe working for the National Weather Service or The Weather Channel out of Atlanta...I'm not too sure on where I would like to work yet.

Ha ha. I wanted to be a conductor too, before I found computers.

Heheh, speaking of which, the Geoscience major is the third thing I ended up changing my major to.  First it was Biology, then it was English, and I changed again to what it is now.  Somehow, wanting to be a doctor or an English professor lost its appeal.

Ooooh...I actually shivered when I thought about the future...I always do, because even though I've narrowed down my choices alot, I'm still unsure what I'm going to do. I've narrowed down my choices to being either a Politician, a Geographer or a Teacher. It depends really. So I'm still not sure what courses I'm aiming for and where. But I have an intense urge to study then hopefully move overseas, so I might not live in Australia in 2015, to be honest, I'm planning to be gone from here by 2010. But thats so far away right now. I might never get the chance or the ability to leave. *remembers why I don't like thinking about the future too much* I'm too much of a worrier, I'm always thinking about the future. When people bring it up the only thing I can think of is the environment. *is a bit of a greenie*

Oh!  You should most definitely become a geographer!  It's awesome, and the whole topic of geography is just plain interesting.

(<--Geoscience/Geography major)  Yeah, I'm biased.  XD

Oh wow, XD

You'll probably see me reporting live from the Gulf Coast as the Category 5 Hurricane "Falco" is ramming the city I'm in, with a 40' storm surge and 190 MPH winds.

Ok, maybe not THAT bad...

I plan on going to a good collage and getting my degrees and such. Then, I really would like to go to medical school and become well versed in medicine.

T.T Didn't see the thread date *waits for lock*

Guest Chiro-Chan

I'll be 24-ish.

I'm gonna be the art geek who wants to work for Nintendo, and if I do, then I want to make renders, and help animate characters for a Star Fox game. Or just make renders for games in general. I love drawing, and I want to put my artistic abilites to good use.

Me, I'm planning on getting degrees in graphic design, and animation. I'll design vgs, and on the side, draw a manga. Video games for the wallet, manga for the soul. Already got lots of ideas.
