seatbelts and or the gravity is always towards the bottom of  the seat.

Show me a picture of the Starfox team wearing seatbelts.

hay Julius way the star war thing truly necessary????????

star wars ftw

im starting a new idea of mine all my comments truly by me will end in

... ftw

it was a joke....

Is that Really neccasarry to interrupt us  and the Ftw thing?

(thanks, Kursed)

I believe the G-Diffuser applies to the outside (as a shield, during barrel rolling), but comes from within (artificial gravity)...

...Were Talking about furries in space, anything is possible.

Someone's response on techincal talk on Starfox at Arwing Landing.  :krystal:

Well, I think that they might use seatbelts, I remember before the team enters the aparoid homeworld, Fox remarks:

"Strap in, buckle Down, and hit the planet!"

Either that or there is some kind of artifical gravity inside the cockpit holding the pilots in place and comfortable. I mean, it seems they have artifical gravity in the Great Fox, couldn't there also be a smaller device inside the Arwings?

---

Besides, I've been dying to ask this: Do you think that the Great Fox has a larger crew than just the 4-5 pilots that we know? Or could they have a larger crew, for instance, someone to do things around the Ship (Which is pretty large) When the SF team is out on Vacation or missions?

I'm pretty sure it's just Fox, Falco, Krystal, Slippy, Peppy, and R.O.B.. All the other extra space probably houses living quarters a training room, mess hall, weapon holds, docking bays, and garages.

This is pointless. You aren't listening to anyone at all.

Show me a clip from Assault or any other game where anyone truly RELAXES. That means, they aren't holding anything, or actively moving their arms.

IF you do that, THEN you can continue this pointless discussion.

Are you kidding me right now? Have you ever SEEN Astronauts in zero-gravity? If they don't actively control the muscles in their arms, that doesn't make them flap around randomly...

ZWOLF, KURSED, STOP BICKERING ABOUT THIS!!!!!!

I know we all love this game, and apparently you two don't like each other, but you can't keep getting mad at each other every time one of you says something the other doesn't like, it annoys people. Its also what closed the RP board. One of you doesn't have to always be right, and then try and force your opinion down everyone else's throats, that's not how a civilized conversation works. I don't want to talk about this again.

The reason for the adjust of the G-Diffuser system is for the change in gravity levels OUTSIDE the ship. The G-Diffuser is an engine. It doesn't mention anything about internal cockpit gravity.

My opinion on this, its never been proven that the G-Diffuser is an engine, or if it controls gravity on the outside or inside, its open for debate. No one is right or wrong until it has been proven by a reliable source from the game.

I've been wondering about that too, if you play training mode in SF64, you'll see a raccoon holding a wrench giving instructions, who the heck is that? Besides, I highly doubt that 5 people and a robot, could maintain a ship that big on their own. Then again, we are talking about furries in space, so I guess anything is possible.

Whoa, whoa whoa! Look I understand where you're coming from, but don't say stuff like: "It's also what closed down the RP board". You could cause a full fledge flame war over this, and I suggest that nobody does, as it's not worth it. Now another thing you gotta remember is that this is a debate thread. Zwolf and I got into a little heated argument about Krystal's staff earlier, but he and I are still cool, because we were just having a debate. Now I know Zwolf and Kursed both have a bad history with each other, but nothing really happened here today that was that much cause of concern. Some things can just be ignored, and they die down.

Now please, I really don't want anybody to post after this and try to explain their views on the matter. Any talk on this will be a possible start to a flame war, so I suggest that the subject just be dropped.

I think that 64 Trainer works for the Cornerian army. That area where you train takes place right in front of Corneria.

This is just a debate therefore there are no hard feelings....

Now moving on.

what do you think about corneria was it originally a water planet then they built platforms on top of it because in the assault game it all the land seemed artifical.

Thank you, Kursed.

Corneria is known as the “bread basket” of the system. It is a fertile farming world with a variety of climates and terrains. Most of the inhabitants live in the shelter of the mountain ranges, where the most productive farming soil can be found. Corneria is a peaceful planet with only the smallest of defense forces. Most of its starships are designed for exploration and transportation.

Class: H (Habitable)

Radius: 6,464 skm

Albedo:37%

Gravity: 1.000

Escape Velocity: 12.10 skm/s

Equilibrium Temperature: 279 Kelvin

Atmosphere: N277 + O221

Hydrographics: 75%

Biomass: 2,870 Quads

- Star Fox Instruction Manual

You have to take in consideration of multiple games. SF 64 shows Corneria in a much different light than Assault.

Looking at it's statistics, the planet is 75% covered in water; it's like the Earth. And in Assault it does have trees and grass and such. I don't think it's artificial.

Nope...though it did seem that way...but that was just a boo-boo on the programmers' behalf

I agree....Earth is 2/3 (67%) Water, not 75%, though...

okay  ,but the level on assault really made everything look artifical i mean of course the roads and buildings are artifical ,but the way the land was designed really made it look artifical like the world of Custom robo.(in which case the world is completely artificial.(at least inside the dome)

I would like to apologize about my little outburst earlier, I guess I walked in on a debate and thought it was an argument, I need to look farther back next time. And my comment about the RP board, when I get hot-headed, I tend to talk out my butt. I'm sorry.

No hard feelings?

As we all know, the design of Assault wasn't very well implemented, they were probably trying to make the city look cool, and didn't stop to think about how Corneria looked in SF64, hence the artificial island that the city is on.

Who would win in a fight? A M1 Abrams Modern Armor, Or a landmaster?

(Also name another vehicle that you think could have a good chance.)

:krystal:

I've been wondering this question for weeks. And I've complied some statistics that would say it could be a close battle. I tried and tried again to work out scenarios. And so far skill of the Driver(s) and gunners would be one of the largest factors that would determine the battle:

(Note: this is crappy evidence and compiling of Statistics, Most of it is bound to failure.)

M1 Abrams (Modern Armor):                                                Landmaster

              ---                                                                                      ---

Armor                                                                                      Firepower (Speed: Reloading and firing)

Ammunition                                                                                Ammunition (Unlimited)

Firepower (One Cannon, 3 Machine guns)                                        Speed (Boosters, Gain a strategic position for air boosters)

Survivability (As in how long it could last in a fight)                          Anti-Aircraft Abilities

Crew Number (4)                                                                        Shields

Swivel cannon                                                                            Crew Number (1) "Uh... Less causalities?"  :krystal:

I guess the landmaster  could have a chance at winning if it took the N64 way and started to barrel-roll circles around the Abrams as it shoot at it, but that’s where the 3 Mounted Machine guns come in…

If the landmaster tried to take a hill or a steep side of a canyon, and used the boosters, it would have a height advantage, but it could be blown to bits while trying to get up there from the underside.

I figured that the Abrams shell is too fast to be dodged by the landmaster’s barrel-rolling ability.

The landmaster could have the advantage if there were more than one involved in the fight. I imagine that they’re cheap to make.

Although the landmaster is almost like a jeep with a gigantic cannon attached, it could have the skill to outrun the Abrams or flank it. (Wikipedia calls it “a light tank”)

---

Just a small experiment, and some opinion for a Fan fiction that I’m making. Please, no “Lolol, ur stooped, of course [Vehicle] would win lol.”

In any kind of fight, it doesn't matter how strong the vehicle is, it matters on the skill of the person controlling the vehicle. The Landmaster could go up against the strongest tank we have on Earth, and statistics could say that the Landmaster would lose. But if the person driving the Landmaster is a lot more skilled than the person driving the tank, the Landmaster could win. Thats how American Sherman Tanks in World War II managed to beat German Panzers in some fights.

Hard call For one the landmaster runs on Fuels cells while the M1 can run on many fuel types....(Diesel to jet fuel)  I'd also like to mention some tanks from the game Dark Reign: Triple rail hover tank,Plasma tank,Tachion tank and the tank hunter. oh and we can't miss out on Halo's Scorpian tank can we?

Triple rail hover tank

armaments:3 rail guns

prpulsion:Unknown Hover system

Surviabilty:High (last pretty long in the game as it can level most Ground units without dieing

Crew:Unkown

Swivel turrent

Tank Hunter:

Armaments:Emp anti armor weapon (Short range ,but powerful)

Tank treads but freken fast

Surviabilty:short rage limits it to hit and run jobs

Crew unknown

Fixed turrent.

PLasma Tank

Armaments:Plasma cannon

HOver

Suvivability:Medium it's a  medium tank

Crew:Unknown

Swivel turrent

Tachion tank

Aramaments:uhh some sort of cannon better than the plasma one

hover

Surviablity:Equal to the Triple rail tank

Crew:Unknown

Swivel turrent

Scorpain tank

Armaments: One 104mm cannnon  1 40 mm machin gun

Tank treads

Crew:One spartan or Four marines +4 passengers on the top of the treads

I actually agree, yeah...makes sense...it's a tough call as to whether an Abrams would be able to defeat a Landmaster or vice versa....

That idea about James is interesting, Mr. Krystal. i like it, it has potential. Personally though, I think he lives on as a spirit

, though dead physically. *creepy music*

Or maybe he's a ZOMBIE!!!

James: "BRAAAAIIIINNNSSS....."

Anyway, how about Falco and Katt? Does he like her, hate her, or what? Too many mixed signals in 64. And no idea about

Command.

And a lot of other stuff that i thought up, but I can't remember it.

id say he liked her but is just to hardheaded to admit it. Its in his charter.
