He could be hired to infiltrate the new Aparoid Home planet by a mysterious client. Or by whoever else. If you haven't looked at Wrecks's profile yet, he's an agent for hire and no longer works for Scales. (Is explained in the bio) So he could easily be worked in and doesn't necessarily have to be an antagonist at all.
