New lounge RP

I can't really enforce a rule, but for the sake of us higherup and for those of us with little freetime, let's try to keep this paced well. IM convos should be kept to a minimum, ergo, make sure each post does something other than escribe one detail or sentence. For lengthy conversations, try to break them up into larger bits rather than sentence by sentence. Do it point-by-point instead, if this makes any sense. Do remember we are trying to avoid clutter, do your part.

why at one point i suggested PARA-RP....basically you have to write a paragraph in your posts.....3 - 4 sentences long...

Taking over the RP is the main issue. I mean seriously, a VR room makes everything else look like baby stuff.

Well, generally it would, but remember, anything that happens inside it isn't real to the character.  It just looks good.  And with that I'm leaving, good night all, I look forward to discussing this tomorrow after CAP

Yeah Johnny Rockets sounds like a good Idea, The holodeck will allow such activities such as shooting range, space fights, anything that you would want... thats the beauty of it

Yes, yes, 1,000x Yes. Please, taking up a post by just saying, "Okay" is very annoying, especially when I, for example, write a good and worthy amount for the post, and it gets responded to so dully. The characters, are characters! They have ways they say things, reactions to things, little flics and such. Make it descriptive! It will make it much more believable, and fun overall!

May be a beauty, but tis also a huge attention grabber. As in, if they had that, most of the people wouldn't be there for what the place is, but mainly because of that.

I think it needs a bit more thinking through. It is a good idea, but doesn't seem like a fully functional plan right now.

That's quite alright. Excitement does that to people naturally. Lol. But I bet, once I get some sleep of course, something will come up at one point that will make it more usable to a point. Will the idea have to be canned? Maybe, but it is interesting. Just something that right now doesn't seem to fit the idea of the RP.

Don't worry about it, I got the holodeck covered.  It's a big empty room where it projects a virtual reality simulation of any scenario you dream up.  Now naturally there are going to be limits on it, and I will be paying close attention making sure it doesn't take over the entire RP.  What don't you want from this?  We can work something out

I'm in favor, so as long as the holodeck doesn't malfunction, and the images become real.  I don't wanna deal with Genghis Khan, Professor Moriarty, Jack the Ripper, and Evil Abraham Lincoln.    :lol:

Alright. I think we will easily have a more consistent thought and idea for the holodeck's future tomorrow, but for now it is on the still deciding edge. And then again, if it is not added in the beggining, there is no reason to say it can't be built in later, and then shut down if it starts becoming an issue.

Hmmm.... We already discussed the rules multiple a time. We have made the character rules and such clear. You just brought up the descriptive factor. Hmmmm.... I want to say that is all the reminding and such we need to do.

I will have a description ready for when we are allowed to start for the place; And since it is me, it of course is going to be very descriptive and such.

OH! Right. Since this is just a supercomplex, it will only have one of a certain style place, rather than multiple. Like, only one old fashion diner, one gym, one theater and such. It will keep it realistic, and keep it easy to keep track of where people are.

EDIT: Of course, bathrooms and such are not affect by this ruling. =P

Wow, this looks awesome! You guys have done a brilliant job at shaping this new RP. Sorry, I was gone for a little bit (for those who know who the heck I am xD), but now I'll be on A LOT more often than before. My only regret is I didn't finish reading everything in time to vote  but I'm glad at the turnout! I'd have voted for Nick and Milky anyway lol. Also, if you don't mind my humble suggestion, if you want minimal fights, mainly with fists, maybe the addition of a boxing ring would help that out? Tha way you don't have people clobbering each other in the middle of the street. Could get ugly. But, other than that, this is amazing! Everyone has done a fantastic job and I can't wait to start the RP  :P

If we do allow people to own shops [i don't know if Milky answered that before, since this was a question a tiny bit back] I would say definitely no weapon dealers. That would be my request, unless I am missing something, which is easily possible. Remember, this is a huge public place. Selling weapons might not be the -best- idea.

[And yes, the hotel did have a gun shop, but the hotel also had many things it shouldn't of had. Lol]

The shop thing sounds pretty cool. How about some of us owning restruants or other things similar in nature, like car dealerships, a newspaper stand or tribune, or maybe some small businesses? I think that might keep things in the same theme.

I dunno.... Owning shops sounds good in theory, but then we all might be running the supercomplex if it gets out of hand. How about for right now, we keep it to just being joes wandering into the place. Taking ownership of shop space may come later with proper developement and permission.

I may have missed the reasoning here, but what is so wrong with players owning shops?  As long as we limit it as to what you can and can't sell, it should be fine.  That could also provide reasons for other characters to join in, or new people even.
