ARWINGCOMMANDER 3987
I assume you're referencing Conker's Bad Fur Day? Well, I don't know much about its history before that game, but I do know that that game was rated M. I know very little else about it, and I question the relevance of bringing it up in this topic at all. This topic is about Star Fox. As far as I can see, this is a feeble attempt to make me look bad and try and get away with not answering any of the legit points that FoXXX and I have made. Legi points? More like annoying rants, which we need a lot less of on the internet, unless it's about something important and not about video games.
Xortberg
Legi points? More like annoying rants, which we need a lot less of on the internet, unless it's about something important and not about video games. Please. You're the one who started all this by coming in and acting all self-righteous. You carried on through several rounds of posting, trying to argue your point, and the moment things start to go south for you you pull the 'This is all pointless anyway' card like it means anything. The rants were yours; all we did was respond to them in kind.
Guest Mr. Nintendo
*Insert a lame Indiana Jones joke or reference here* I don't think Slippy even uses the screwdriver in the game...and also, it does seem to appear Krystal is just eye-candy on the cover but that's just me though. Y'know if Gordon Freeman doesn't even appear in Half-Life, why bother putting him on the cover then? Krystal is almost like Gordon...
ARWINGCOMMANDER 3987
So what if Krystal is just eye candy? Eye candy is always good to have in video games, even if it doesn't relate to the plot, because it helps make the games entertaining like they're supposed to be. Eye candy is always good to have in video games, even if it doesn't relate to the plot, because it helps make the games entertaining like they're supposed to be. It also objectifies women as sex objects, adds nothing of substance to the game, and just comes across as a cheap, shallow attempt to cash in on teenagers with raging hormones. For every good side, there's a downside. Also, lol@ you ignoring my point that you're the one who originally started ranting. It's pretty funny how you just ignore points that you can't come back too. Also again, care to explain the purpose of mentioning Conker? I never did get an explanation of its relevance. Milkyway64
Oh sure, and Conker was fine as a kids game too. /rated M NEVER was a kid's game. This holds no relevance to anything in this topic or StarFox period. Saying what you just did is saying "And Halo was fine as a kid's game too" or "And Duke Nukem was fine as a kid's game too" what the hell do you even MEAN? Are you somehow suggesting that SF isn't for kids? Are you that stupid? Please enlighten me on what you were trying to get across, because NEWS FLASH, StarFox has always been a kiddy series and ONLY has a T rating for the gamecube games because E 10+ didn't exist back then. And WHY would it need that rating in the first place? Krystal. There you go, more evidence that she's a sharp tug in the wrong direction for the series, she single handedly got the rating changed and birthed the dumbass belief that some people apparently had about the series being mature. The hell? It's nooot. So what if Krystal is just eye candy? Eye candy is always good to have in video games, even if it doesn't relate to the plot, because it helps make the games entertaining like they're supposed to be. /herp derp booooobies! Get the hell out of my StarFox fandom. May I remind you that she's a CARTOON FOX? May I remind you that unnecessary sexual content is classless and hurts a game to some more than it helps? May I remind you that this sort of thinking is freakin' stupid and is the basis behind the serie's downfall in credibility? FUUUUUU.

Oh, you can't, and it still holds no relevence since Pocket Tales WAS suitable for kids while Bad Fur day wasn't, all clearly laid out on the damned game boxes. ARWINGCOMMANDER 3987
You still had no reason to call me an idiot. Anyway, yest Star Fox Adventures' boxart clearly shows why it wouldn't be as kid-friendly as the rest of the series. Nintendo doesn't have to cater to just kids to make successful games. Would you rather Star Fox ended up like the Teletubbies? And about Krystal demeaning women: Some would counter that by saying that Krystal is an example of a very liberated female character. She's free to show as much of her body as she wants without being called a sl@# or a w@#$e. Would you rather she was confined to a burka?

Milkyway64
You still had no reason to call me an idiot. Please show where I did. I asked a rhetorical question about an actually stupid rebuttal and then said a line of thinking was stupid. Neither directly address you. Anyway, yest Star Fox Adventures' boxart clearly shows why it wouldn't be as kid-friendly as the rest of the series. Nintendo doesn't have to cater to just kids to make successful games. Would you rather Star Fox ended up like the Teletubbies? Uuuuh, it KIND of doesn't. It has Krystal blending into the background, and she's in a bikini-thing. Everything else looks like a Zelda game, which has gotten along fine with K-A ratings for a long time now. The game itself IS as kid friendly as the rest of the series except for Krystal, who's E10+ material, which is still an Everyone rating. Everyone means Everyone, not kids-only. Learn what you're talking about, and maybe you'll also realize that the SF game everyone likes best was "kiddy" and just MAYBE something will click for you. And about Krystal demeaning women: Some would counter that by saying that Krystal is an example of a very liberated female character. She's free to show as much of her body as she wants without being called a sl@# or a w@#$e. Would you rather she was confined to a burka? HA HA HA HA HA HA. I didn't call you an idiot before, but I'm calling you one now. Krystal isn't liberated, she's a whiny piece of wet cardboard that's done nothing for the series other than giving Fox an excuse to say "whoa, she's beautiful" without even KNOWING her, and then in the sequal pulling a Mary Sue and sucking as bad as Slippy in piloting, and is even WORSE than Slippy in planning (Let's abandon Corneria to save Sauria, a planet I have no emotional connection to! Yay!) AND, showing your body off without reason or rhyme kinda is what makes a slut a slut, and her eagerness to get with Panther or Wolf or back to Fox at a decision's notice in Command could be stretched to peg her as a whore. There's a reason furries idolize her and have gigs upon gigs of porn drawn of her, surpassing the rest of the cast. Know how to fix this? How about she, I dunno, fit in with the rest of the cast? She has two differences from the rest of the characters in the series. 1. She's female (let's ignore Katt for the sake of this argument) and 2. she's the only one who looks like she's TRYING to strut her stuff, as everyone else is in space armor or, gasp, normal uniforms ala Fox in Smash bros/Adventures/64. You lose. Good day sir.

Milkyway64
IPB sucks and so I didn't see User's warning before posting that, so my apologies. However, the point still stands. Krystal still sucks, she's still useless, she doesn't make the series more mature but infact less because HEY LOOK, BOOBIES, STOP PAYING ATTENTION TO OUR COOKIE CUTTER PLOT THAT HAS NO DEPTH TO IT. SF was, is, and will be kiddy. No amount of furries getting boners will change that even if you somehow think it will.
ARWINGCOMMANDER 3987
Well games are meant to be INTERACTIVE entertainment. How does an epic plot really matter for INTERACTIVE entertainment? Don't you think more gamers would rather INTERACT with an interactive game that features a character added for sex appeal, even if that's all she is? Milkyway64
Well games are meant to be INTERACTIVE entertainment. How does an epic plot really matter for INTERACTIVE entertainment? Because stories and plots help in entertaining. Ever played Mother 3? THAT'S a good example of how a plot can enhance or even make a gaming experience. Don't you think more gamers would rather INTERACT with an interactive game that features a character added for sex appeal, even if that's all she is? Why, no, because Super Mario Bros and Legend of Zelda and Metroid and a WHOLE FUCKLOAD OF OTHER GAMES managed it! Hell, STAR FOX 64 managed it and IT'S better than the games with your precious sex appeal characters. Interaction. Has nothing to do. With boobies. Want proof? Think about how much people like Krystal. People, not furries. Hear all those cries? Hear those angry laments over how she ruined the series? Hear how it totally makes you look like a fool and trips your entire point here RIGHT on it's face? Yeah, I hear it too. And it's music to my ears.
