Commission Advertising

It was brought to our attention that there is some excessive advertising happening on SFO. The staff have agreed to formulate a new rule that states clear boundaries to follow if you are an artist that seeks to make money through your work. The new rule is as follows:

If you take commissions, you can mention it once in the FIRST POST of your art topic, but leave the details on your own site, or your deviantART or where ever you frequent. You cannot re-post and re-post about your commissions afterwards.

We are not an advertising source and will not allow constant reminders for people to part with their money. Members found violating this rule will be notified and their offending posts will be removed. Anyone that continues to post their advertisements even after notification will have their art topic closed.

You are, however, allowed to have a small message or link in your signature. Again, signature restrictions must be followed.

To be clear, advertisements include reminders that you take commissions, price lists, suggestions that someone can commission you and mentioning the cost of a commission that you are showing to the forum. Anything suggestive that is posted outwith the first post in your art topic or your signature will be brought the staff's attention for disciplinary discussion.

This rule is only valid for active users; members that join specifically to advertise will have their posts removed by a member of staff.
