There is a lot of nostalgia for the Clinton years, from people of both parties it seems. Do you all think she is qualified and has the right judgement? Patch93 Posted December 31, 2012 Report Share Posted December 31, 2012 Eh, as much as I love Bill, I don't think it would be a good idea to let his wife run for office, since I've heard many soccermom-esque qualities about her, such as wanting to censor violence in electronic entertainment. If a Republican had the above problems he/she could not hope to run for school board, much less president. You do realize the POTUS has the ability to affect the entire world's politics based upon his/her decisions, right? It -should- be the concern of other countries, and not just the citizens of the US. RingtailedFox Posted January 1, 2013 Report Share Posted January 1, 2013 Actually, we have nothing against Hillary Clinton at all... most Canadians (myself included, and I've spoken with many on this subject) love the Clintons... we feel that she's tough-as-nails and somewhat bitchy, but for valid reasons: the whole Monica Lewinsky affair, having the implied treatment that she's somewhat inferior, just for being a woman, and I'm sure I'd be at least as bitchy and uptight if i had to deal with a bunch of morons like Barney Frank and Mitch McConnell on a daily basis, for YEARS ON END. So yeah... Hillary would make a great president.. she's already proven herself to be an able senior stateswoman in her role as Secretary of State, and helped her husband run America through its most-prosperous decade in history (the 1990s).... however, her health has been taking a nosedive in recent weeks, and that makes me doubt she'd be up for running for president in 2016... but there's no doubt in my mind she could pull it off, if she were to get better by then.
