Sol-Ratcht Saporro
Yup! I did back in my first term of college as well as going back to high school. And it sucked major a**.
Four-eyed Vulpine
Yeah, I rode the bus all the through school, up to graduating It wasn't too bad of an annoyance, and I eventually got used to it by sleeping on the 40-minute ride so school. Now that I'm in college though, I just ride with my sister to save money. I'm wondering if you should remove the "did" from the poll question, because I'm sure that EVERYONE has rode on public transportation at least once in his or her lifetime. Keeping the scope on the present time will provide more accurate poll results.
Scott_Wolf
I get dropped off at thew tram before school, and catch the train all the way home after school everyday.

TakeWalker
I think we need a clarification here. Public transportation generally means buses, as well as trains and, in some places, trolleys. If you live outside the US, chances are your pubtrans is actually useful, not to mention more varied. I've used the bussing system in town before. Public transit is nice for the environment and all, but it's completely unreliable. I absolutely hate having to use buses, and that's why I can't get a job outside the city. I'd be late more often than not.
Scott_Wolf
Ya buses always suck no matter where they are...VIVA LA TRAMS! With the third longest tram system in the world, why not use it? Trains here suck though. ALWAYS late.
Sol-Ratcht Saporro
Oops! Now that you mentioned it, FEV....maybe I should take it off. But, then again nobody's lived out his/her lifetime as of now. I'll just keep it on there for just for f**k's sake. @ Take, yeah exactly what you said. I apologize folks. Buses, Trains, Trolleys, Trams all that good stuff.
Four-eyed Vulpine
Wouldn't airplanes count as public transportation, too? My first plane ride was last year going to Hawaii for a week, and I was scared to death before takeoff. :?
Scott_Wolf
Last I checked airlines were run by individual companies, that doesn't really mean anything BUT, you can't just hop on a plane and head to where you want to in a few minutes.
Four-eyed Vulpine
Even so, the PUBLIC still uses them to transport themselves, right?
Kal
Boston's T system ain't that bad, actually. And it's really the only way, since driving's a friggin' NIGHTMARE.
Scott_Wolf
Even so, the PUBLIC still uses them to transport themselves, right? Ah yes but I believe that air travel can be excluded because people see public transport as a cheap, easy access way to get where they want. Air travel is not cheap, and many people cannot afford it. How can it be public when not everyone can use it? It WOULD be nice if a ticket to London Heathrow was just $3.50, but it isn't. So I'd say that public transport is transport that EVERYONE can use, that is cheap, and can be accessed at the drop of a hat.
