FEV, you started a new trend.  :P Props.

Okay, say you were walking behind this person and he/she reaches in their pocket to get something, however a 100 dollar bill falls out. You stop to examine this. The person doesn't seem to notice so they keep walking at the same pace. Before you realize it, they've already past a good distance from you. (Around 20 feet from you). So what do you do?

Me? I would *votes second option*

I know, I know shame on me.

And when I say "try", for example I mean like you start to run for the first five feet but then you slowly come to a halt and then you decide to keep the money.

Wow.  The first trend I've EVER started.

I would most definitely catch up to the person and return the bill.  I mean, to see just a hundred dollar bill lying on the ground with no one around is one thing, but to actually see it fall out of someone's pocket is another.  To take the hundred dollars of a person that I could see who owned it, I just couldn't do that.

Besides, the guilt I'd feel would drive me absolutely insane,  :P

Yes, because now, I feel a whole flood of polls coming.

Pfft...Something tells me, I'm going to seem like the one with the pitchfork and horns. :P

Traditionally speaking, the first time a person replies in a poll, he or she usually states his or her vote and reasoning.

So, how did YOU vote, Pyre?  o_O

Option one, no doubt about it. I don't screw around with things like that, because karma is a serious -hot potato-.

At the very worst, I'd just leave it. But I don't know why I would do that if the person was still within eyesight.

Hehehe, oops.

I voted to give the money to the owner.

I'd give it back, the satisfaction of (hopefully) being thanked would outweigh the guilt (and benefits of whatever you buy) of having kept it I believe.

Damn, my evilness phailed me.

But, y'know I would have tried to run after the person. >.>;

Waitaminute! *Looks at the poll* Somebody agrees with me, but he/she doesn't want to admit it. O_o

So technically, you're STILL on the bottom of the totem pole of ethics.  O_o

Just kidding, Sol.  :D

I would return the bill, because it's the right thing to do.

Not only that, but what if you were in the same position, wouldn't you want your $100 bill back?

Not only that, but maybe that's all that person has...*shrug* you never really know their situation.
