Mr. Krystal

Recommended Posts

I'm a little bummed right now. See, a friend of mine, Tansunn, indirectly informed me that it was possible to replace Krystal's model with Fox's in-game with an Action Replay code, see the following videos:

http://youtube.com/watch?v=B1vFx_MC28Y

http://youtube.com/watch?v=GAEGM5CyE4s

After speaking with him about it, he showed me the site where he found the codes which has since gone offline. The code to change Krystal into Fox is:

GF15-JWDR-UT4P9

ZJ4N-X9VE-RMMJR

PTFF-N24N-VNX9N

Obviously, these codes work from the above videos. I haven't tried them myself. From what I've heard from Tansunn, to activate the code, you simply press and hold Z when changing to a new area, which in practical experience, is when Krystal (now Fox) arrives at the Krazoa Palace for the first time. (That is, be pressing Z when the screen fades out throughout the fade in.) This code has little use as Krystal's part of the story is very short.

However, there was another code, a code for changing Fox's model into Krystal. You can imagine that I was excited about that code, as it would increase the total amount of Krystal cutscene video by around 1000%. Unfortunately, my dreams were crushed. Doing the same thing with the Fox to Krystal code results in a fade out that never fades back in. I call it the "black-screen-of-death." I've tried this with several variations, starting at the beginning, starting mid-way through the game, and a couple other things. No dice. The Krystal code is this:

8EB3-2GNE-HCRVW

ZJ4N-X9VE-RMMJR

PHHV-T9BD-CB0PX

HOWEVER, there are still two possibilities. First, Tansunn and I both have the first edition of the game (Star Fox Adventures). The code MAY still work with the other edition (Star Fox Adventures 1.1). If you have a Max/Action Replay disk and Star Fox Adventures 1.1, could you try this code out? I think that any of the Player's Choice versions are the 1.1 editions.

There's also the possibility that someone on this forum either knows how to create Action Replay codes, or knows someone who does. Perhaps you see something wrong with this second code? If you have anything that might help, I would most appreciate it.

While we're at it, what are some other interesting hacks/codes for Star Fox Adventures?

Edit:

I'll send a $50 check to whoever can make this or some other code that does the same thing work.

I would, but I don't have an Action Replay.

I was going to mention something about that, but I wasn't entirely sure of the code's existence so I didn't want to get your hopes up in case it didn't exist.
