Feel free to discuss the jobs you've had before, the jobs you want to get, the jobs you love, the jobs you hate, your bosses, your customers, your coworkers, your work...just anything pertaining to your job. Even if you don't have a job, don't feel left out. Ask about what other people do.

Guest Chiro-Chan
I *was* going to get a job this summer, but no one ever hired me. Everybody HATES me! *cries* I was planning on bussing at a restaraunt.
Four-eyed Vulpine
What restaurant? I know my sister applied to like twenty or so different restaurants last month and she got hired at one of those small diners in town.
Scott_Wolf
I licked, stamped and sent off 5000 letters last winter for some law firm. the only thing I learned from that job was that being a lawyer sucked, and I'd be looking forward to retirement from day 1. =D (From chatting with the people there between each batch of letters) Although I'm still amazed that place could send out THAT many letters ...I think some of them might have been spam. EvolutionSFox
What is your job? Taking care of you guys at SF-O. Joking. I work at McDonalds for now... I can't wait to graduate and get away from that place.

I'm trying to get a job as close to my house as possible, mainly because I only have a learner's permit for driving, and there is NO way I'm going to work at some icky fast food restaraunt like McDonalds. Four-eyed Vulpine
Oh, ok. My sister had applied there, and they finally called about an interview, but she had already gotten a job at that diner and didn't want to leave, thank goodness. I wouldn't like working in those massive chains like McDonalds or Wal-Mart. I'd probably feel like a nobody. I started my summer job this week at an aluminum fabrication plant, where I've worked for the past two summers as well. Basically, my job is loading and unloading long aluminum rods and bars on and off furnaces with a crane for 12-hour shifts, making for a 36-48 hour work week. It's not a difficult job, but it can sure get hot on days. I start nights next week, and I'm looking forward to it.

[/youallknewthatwascominglal] Oh yeah, out of all five jobs I had so far this has got to be one of the more demanding. I'm a Pharmacy Aide at my local Super Market. I love it though. Its better than being in a hospital. All those senior citizens with their dentures and dentures.*shudders* Hopefully, I'll get to be a Pharm Tech! I'ma studying really hard too! >.<;

And good luck!
Four-eyed Vulpine
Summer homework, OMG. Speaking of which, I'll have to study up on my Calculus over the summer in preparation for the fall class. My third freakin' time, Sorry. Oh, I just remembered about this one job I had last year during college. CATERING. It was okay at first, but I grew to hate it, and I eventually quit right before the fall finals. The schedule was unpredictable, the atmosphere was always changing, and tending to other people's needs isn't really my thing, anyway. At least I have a much greater appreciation for caterers now. They go through a lot of crap.
Naza Sutera
Ugh...Don't even get me started about MY job! I work at a Local Taco Bell, and I kind of cant stand it...I considered quitting on several occasions, but I have things to take care of, as you can see...*points key/car remote and my LandRover, presses a button causing the alarm to chirp* Well...I don't completely hate it. I fact I love it. I love my co-workers because they're like a second family to me. it's just that on some days, I get so fed up with some of the idiot customers. Some of them always whining and complaning about the dumbest things. Such as today; Some old guy wanted to refund his order just because we ran out of the packets of the mild Border sauce. And as if the idiot costomers arent bad enough, stupid peers of mine like to come over and do the stupidest things, usually resulting in messes that I have to clean up. Just today, noe of them tried to steal a frigging poster advertising the new Taquito thingsLike a week ago, instead of using the toilet so that "it" could be flushed down, the a-hole did it in the frigging urinal, and just GUESS who had to clean it up...No really, I want you to guess... The managers are getting pissed about it partially at me because I know the idiots who do it. So yeah...That's my job.
