DZComposer
Current list of all SFO staff members: http://forums.starfox-online.net/index.php?topic=2297.0 This list is in the announcements forum, along with some other important threads that are worth reading. I do most of the thing involved in running the forums as well as SQL database administration while Dwight takes care of most things on the site itself. OTG, or the forums of "Star Fox Database," is/was run bu Puffy Wolf. I don't have his contact info, but he really doesn't respond, or at least he didn't when I was there. That site is pretty much dead, and the forums are unmoderated because he isn't around. So tread there at your own risk, especially if you have never been there. They aren't all that friendly towards new people. There still are some nice people there, but the most vocal ones aren't those people so beware. Oh, and I would like to ask you to please either put the text in your signature on one or two lines instead of 9 or put the text next to the image instead of above it. It is a little bit on the tall side. Also, if you're coming here just to advertise your Wiki, please don't. We don't mind links in sigs, but we do consider site promotion threads to be spam as we have a special thread for that purpose. I'm not accusing you of that, but the way you signed your post made me want to make sure you knew this.
Guest Foxhound
Thanks for the information DZ, and not worry about the signature for I am going to replace it soon with one line text and a picture ... the reason i did it was so that i can get more traffic on my site seeing that other people on your site Like Fox McCloud or Fox_P as he was once called, of the "Star Fox Central" does it i thought it would be okay. sorry for the trouble, but I'm not here to spam I'm just a new person who just released a Star Fox site and I like to be known here... is there a thread where i can post my data so i don't have to do this? that way we can all be happy and people wont then think I'm a spammer or a someone who only thinks for himself which I'm not of any of those. If you can is there a way for me to have my site link as a sig seeing you and many other people have them around the site, I feel that i should have some privilege to do what any star fox web owner should do? I'm not being rude I just don't see that is fair that anybody else can do it but me. I'm sorry if this caused you any trouble. I hope you don't think I'm a bad person or that I started on the wrong track. I hope that we become good members in the future Your Friend, ~ Foxhound
Mr. Krystal
How to make the image in your sig a link, just put the url tag around the image tag, like this: Which will look like this in your sig: As for a place to post about your site, you can do it here: http://forums.starfox-online.net/index.php?topic=572.0 If you want to post about it more than that, find a way to say something involving your site ON TOPIC. Don't create topics about your site, but rather, if someone says something about the opening of Star Fox Command, you can quote the story from your entry on the site, and then put a link below it to that page, like this: "More info here: http://starfoxwiki.wetpaint.com/page/Star+Fox+Command " This is what I do, I run the Krystal Archive. Whenever someone asks me (on a topic or whatever) my opinion of Krystal, or whether I like her or not, I simply say: "I have an article about that: http://krystalarchive.dwightdesign.com/articles/whyilikekrystal/ " This is an on topic, and helpful to others, way to promote your site. Don't promote your site just to promote it (except in that topic I mentioned earlier), rather, promote your site by being helpful to others. Do you see? Guest Foxhound
thanks Dwight, for helping me around when adding contributions along with adding the links whiles staying on the subject., I'll make sure to use that whenever I have the given chance. DZComposer
We don't think you're a bad member. I just wanted to make you aware of the rules before you did anything that would give anybody a reason to think you were. Admittedly I was a little annoyed that you didn't read them closely before posting as following them is part of the registration agreement, but this thread isn't really a huge rule-breaker (notice that I did not lock it). Don't feel bad, you didn't know at the time. Now you do. Plus, I was quite the n00b myself back when I first joined the fandom so pummeling you for what is on the borderline of a rule would make me look like quite the asshole and a hypocrite.
