Weasel_Silver24
I have a suggestion, I have seen a few Star Fox websites where you can download the colletion SF Adventures music, but the problem is you can`t pick "one" file you have to download the music collection in a "zip" file, and I don`t like that. I noticed you have Star Fox Assault, and Star Fox Command music where you can choose a theme song you want to play, but suggestion is: I would mind seeing Star Fox Adventure music here on this wonderful website. What does everyone else think about this idea?
foxbird22
This isn't the right place for this thread, I don't think. DZ will probably redirect you. Adventures music would be a good idea. I'm sure Dwight and DZ are working on it. If you need a particular track or something, I've got all the soundtracks. Just email me.
Weasel_Silver24
Aww! I`m sorry that I`m in the wrong spot to post subject, but thank you for offering to give me some of the sound tracks of SF Adventures. However, there is a song that starts out with a muddy piano beat, and I don`t where in the game it is played? And I just finished playing SF Adventures just a few or so days ago, and still couldn`t figure it out. The only place know where it is, is in the sound test. :ok:
DZComposer
Actually, this is an acceptable place for this. It's on the To Do list, but as of now it doesn't have a high priority. It will be worth the wait, though. Rips will be made with real sound equipment instead of a cheap PC soundcard. That is one reason why the SFO SFC rip is perhaps the highest wuality one out there right now. The SFAS ones are converted versions of the actual sound files from the game disc. foxbird22
How difficult is it to achieve that kind of quality? I'm just curious...it seems like a lot of work. Is the music you're thinking of any of these? Gas Chamber Krazoa Palace Ocean Force Point Temple Those are the three that comes to mind when I think of tracks starting with a piano-like beat. Hope that helped!
DZComposer
It's not difficult, it just requires the right equipment. In fact, it is easier to do it on purpose-built equipment than on cheap sound cards.
Weasel_Silver24
Is the music you're thinking of any of these? Gas Chamber Krazoa Palace Ocean Force Point Temple [end of quote] ------------ No, sorry I`m afraid that`s not it. If one keeps going flipping through the sound test on SF Adventures about approximately 30-35 times one should probably find it.... But that`s okay, I appreciate the help. Thanks
DZComposer
There is some bass piano in the Galdon BGM, which is #32. Also, the rehashed Meteo BGM used for the Arwing missions has bass piano in it as well, and it is #75 (35 in the opposite direction I guess)
Mr. Krystal
Until we get the audio up (whenever you can DZ), here's some stuff that will help: There is a sound test, but this must be unlocked. You'll need to look up elsewhere how to do that. Keep in mind that it doesn't have all the songs, and it's likely from my exploration of the code that the BGM does NOT include some of the music in the cutscenes. It seems they are hard coded. Here's a track listing for the Sound Test: http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/gamecube/file/516497/20552 And here's where you can download most of the songs. Whoever ripped these did some editing on then, turning the three Krazoa Palace songs into one because they have similar instrumentation: http://gh.ffshrine.org/soundtracks/1325
DZComposer
Oh, Dwight, you didn't manage to find the DSP files on the disc, did you? I have a method to convert them to standard audio files, provided they are not weird when compared to other games. In most Gamecube games, music in FMV cutscenes is included in the video file. I have a project in planning stages in which I will be using my sampler to recreate the SFAs Cutscene BGMs so we can have versions without sound effects. One of the interesting things about these peices is that some of them are chopped and used in different scenes. For example, I was able to determine through very careful listening that the music that plays when Fox and Krystal meet Tricky is the same piece of music as when the orbital gate portal is created. As the sauria scene fades out, if you listen very carefully, you can hear the beginning of a violin run. The beginning of the gate creation sounds like the attack was either cut or it was the end of a run. It happens to be in the same key and the note is the logical endpoint of the run started in Sauria. Next, factor in the original SF64 BGM. Put them together and: http://www.corneriasound.com/betamusic/saurgate001.mp3 Another plan I have is to take the SFAs rips we have, which came from the DSPs themselves, and re-encode them (from the WAV files created from the conversion) in FLAC format for better quality. Of course DSPs are already compressed so I won't be able to get CD Quality.
RPGmaster2000
You know, the entire SF:Adventures soundtrack is on emuparadise.org, including soundtracks of loads of other games. And they're not zipped either.
