DoctorAllosaurus
As the title implies, this is where you talk about games that frighten you. I'm actually embarrased to say that there are three games I will never touch again and they are all on the NES. First up is the infamous Monster Party, Me and a friend rented it thinking it was based off of an Rankin & Bass halloween movie so we got to his house and then found out how horribly wrong we were when we walked past the cactus thingy. Next up is The Uninvited, ran into the first ghost (which still gives me nightmares) and immediately turned off the game. The last one is Shadowgate, for being really weird. Mr. Krystal
Jurassic Park for the Sega CD. There were a lot of nerve-wracking moments, and oftentimes, once you activated something, you had no way of escape if you did something wrong. You had to watch yourself about to die. When you're a little kid, and not used to dinosaurs or violence, this can be very creepy.
Sabre
Any number of horror games. One that was suprisingly creepy however was gregory horror show on PS2, a horror game for kids. Makes me laugh and creeped out at the same time.
DoctorAllosaurus
I also remember being afraid of a couple other things like the floaty head guy from Altered Beast (I think his name is Neff if I'm not mistaken) and Shadow of the Beast 2's game over screen. Not that it scared me out of my wits or anything, but a certain gory scene near the end of Bionic Commando startled me because I had never witnissed anything like it before. Star Fox Runner
The one game that still frightens me to this day is the original Doom. I was 5, I watched my brother play it, I became afraid of the dark and I still am to this day because of it. No joke.

Sabre
Doom's an evil game. Ban this sick filth? A few more games. Time Splitters 3, Nightmare Creatures (ruined by the bloody timer) and Parasite Eve 2. A comdey FPS, Beat 'em up and action RPG respectfully, all had suprisingly scary bits in. TS3 had this haunted house level where I was both laughing and slightly chilled at the same time. Nightmare Creatures had some suprisingly atmospheric levels (use cheats to turn off the timer for best effect) and Parasite Eve 2 had some great moments too. One memorable scene has you save a woman, then suddenly this happens. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CLh4cOLrsKs
ARWINGCOMMANDER 3987
Nightmare Creatures had some suprisingly atmospheric levels (use cheats to turn off the timer for best effect) and Parasite Eve 2 had some great moments too. One memorable scene has you save a woman, then suddenly this happens. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CLh4cOLrsKs X 5 That was sick. I know Super Mario Bros. 3 was a kids game, but the Dark World in the Super Mario All-Stars version scared me half to death as a kid. Seriously, it literally looked like hell. Another one for me was the Mad Doctor level in Mickey Mania for the Super NES. It was just too spookey for me at that age. The only actual reason was the idea of Mickey Mouse almost getting killed in a video game.
Sabre
Another 2, though I have not played these game enough myself. Im told there are creepy moments in Metal Gear Solid 3 and Max Pain 2.
zippo
only game that ever truly scared me was silent hill 2 by the end of the game I was going against my nature and not checking every area of the game I didn't sleep for 3 days after that
HighZenith
Personally, though I know many consider it to be a little weak, I though RE4 was pretty scary when I played in the middle of the night. BioShock was pretty "creepy" to me also, and there were plenty of places I had to run into with eyes closed and guns blazing, lol. :)
