Asper Sarnoff
Every one of you would have a psychological breakdown, and you know it. Most people who are severed from human contact for a long period of time do. Not to mention the trauma of the actual event that causes it.I disagree with that statement. There have been many people who for extended periods of time have been broken of from social contact with others, be it that they been stranded somewhere isolated, or are just hermits who have chosen to live for themself in the wild.I did a small-scale experiment of that which ended about a year ago. I vent trough about 8 months without seeking out social contact. I naturally had to be with other people on school and when I shopped for food and supplies, but I didn't speak more with them than strictly necesary, and then, it was mostly grunts and monosyllables. In the school breaks and freetime, I never talked with anyone, just sat down and did my schoolwork or read a good book. I didn't bother with making friends, as I had moved to a new town just for that year to study. At the end of the experiment, I couldn't say I feelt a huge need for social interaction with others any more then before I started. Naturally, it was a bit boring compared to if I hadn't done it that way, but I didn't suffer from it. I weren't a psycological wreck at the end of the experiment, and I'm confident I could have gone trough quite a lot of years the same way if I so wanted. Not all people are wired the same way psycological. Many have a need for believing in something greater than themself, and thus create religions to cover that need. Most people need a large amount of social interaction and love from others to work. But there will always be some who don't, people who don't need more than air, water and food to keep going. Then, one naturally come in to the question of why one would want to live, what purpose would it gain by delaying the inevitable? What would have keept me going is probably the want for trying out all the various things I didn't have time to do earlier. It's quite a long list, so I would have been busy for about 10-15 years I suspect, and after that? Go back and do again the things I liked untill it started to bore me. What would happen then? Well I'd write down some last words in case some sentient beings came to this planet after my death and wondered what happened. After that, I'd commit suicide in the most spectacular way possible, fitting for the last person on earth. What does that supposed to mean?Am I really so intimidating that my mere presence in a thread brings forth the fear of lock? Just because I have the admin medal under my name doesn't mean I don't want to get into the discusisons.Seriously, guys, if you think I'm being a pompous ass, tell me. That's not how I want to be perceived. I think it is the bob-omb avatar you've got that scares them. Bob-ombs are terrifying, especially the musical ones. It gives me the shivers... Oh wait!... No, it's giggles. :P

That's not how I want to be perceived. And also don't feel like you HAVE to self-censor your four letter words. The only one I don't want to see is the F-Bomb (gotta keep it PG-13), which SMF takes care of by placing "-F-Bomb-" in it's place. Seriously, I'm fine with a curse here and there so long as you don't go nuts with them (and that's more out of it makes you look like an idiot than it offends me).well all admin are precived as that DZ that's why their called "admin" their known as "the boss"by all members. just clairifyingEvery one of you would have a psychological breakdown, and you know it.i already have.i was taken to a wacky shack cuz of it.i liked it there though cuz the food was exclent.plus they had a ball pit ten feet deep! Fox-Shot
Play some SF64 and quake live Against Whom? The bots would get old and are too dumb.Well, I'd have to use my go kart (don't want to drive cars) to get to town, there I would likely get gas and food, then I'd drive to a bigger town to steal a better kart, then load up again and likely just roam for the rest of my life, befriending nature, and if the humans return, become a person of a nice nature telling stories of when the humans disappeared. Steve
I'd devote all my life into science in order to create a time machine to go back in time , pick a few people and then get back to the future, why wouldn't I save everyone? cause making a huge time machine will be hard and I'm mostly certain that whatever doomed humanity can't be stopped by Teh Steve even less by teh old Steve. Vindr
seriously? Just reading?Well maybe I'd pull an amp rig in there too, a double stack like you see at metal concerts, and then push the volume to 10 and start cooking...EDIT: And maybe stop by SoCal/Beverly Hills to pick up EVH's guitar/amp (Which is priced at over several million dollars) and then head to Texas to find out Eric Johnson's secret behind his tone, then take his amp and setup... Guest DRL
Well, my plan would be:1_ Steal canned food and anything that can be put on the freezer for years.2_ Steal an aircraft and go to Europe3_ Steal (and play) every videogame wanted to buy but I could not.4_ Go to Japan.5_ Reconfigure a robot factory to produce my own robot-army.6_ Command & Conquer the new world.7_ New World Order! And I am it´s new leader 8_ Use my newly gained resources to build a spaceship and escape Earth.9_ Try to have fun in a distant planet (Preferably inhabited)(I bet nobody thought of this though )
Vindr
A group of lonely fat people talk about being the last man on earth? Great book.Oh Sabre, you and your attempts at trying to be 'Yahtzee' Croshaw. No, about a person who is the last person on earth, or otherwise called, 'I am Legend' and in reality, it is in fact a fanfiction of the movie because I have no creative skill, whatsoever.EDIT: Actually, DRL, I did think this through:1. Gather foods into a large structure, preferably a mansion.2. Get a whole bunch of fridges, freeze the perishable stuff.3. Get lots of beef, because when we're gone, so are the cows.4. Find a car, ride in it because where are the cops?5. Get enough firearms to start my own militia.6. ???????7. Profit! (From the stuff people leave behind.)Is that well thought out? Guest FoXXX
Actually what I would do is create a new SF title, make it the way it is was suppose to be (deleting SFC:)) then if humans ever return to Earth at least we have a good SF game to pick up off of :)

(From the stuff people leave behind.)Is that well thought out? It´s ok, but what I actually mean was becoming the World´s (political) Leader... Literaly.Since there would be no people to fight me then I would not even need weapons, and so all I would need was that robot-army to follow closely my orders. They would not need much, mainly some repairs and an enegy source. As for Earth, before leave it I would first try to repair some of the envorimental damage the humans done to it. Then like I said I would have my robots build a starship so I can leave Earth and find some distant planet to live. Maybe I would get lucky and find something similar to Lylat. |EDIT|: Oh, and before leaving I would something really EVIL:I would paint the White House with Soviet emblems and the Kremlin with USA emblems, and maybe also add some grafity respectively. So if the humans ever come back they would get a suprise... Maybe I would like to hear what they would say, sure I would laugh loudly.
Falcory
To be honest, not only would you probably go a least a LITTLE nuts, (Like Will Smith in I Am Legend ) a lot of things would be unavailable. Electricity for instance, Plumbing, Heating, FOOD. (Cuz I doubt any of you are chefs and know how to make the normal dishes that we find at the market from scratch) People have jobs that play a part in these things and if they die, these things STOP. And even considering if you even know how to do all of these certain jobs, they're still too much for just one person. Plus without a huge population of humans, Animals may take over a lot of places, (Yes I'm thinking of I Am Legend again. ) thus making your chances of living a littlebit lower. Plus the normal joys we had would be gone, No new video game would be made, no TV shows, no opposite sex companionship. (Yeah I said it.) Granted, I would say the first three of four days would be interesting, but after a while the world would start to become a little place we know as hell. ^^

Literaly.Well, really, with no governing body, you have no constituents, thus automatically making you the leader. No if's, ands, or buts. Yes, seems fun though, I'd enjoy messing up the white house, if it already isn't so already. : D
