Sabre
Blindness has come up a few times recently. As someone who's entrie life, dreams, career and creativity involves computers, if I ever lost my sight I might as well be dead. I don't think I could cope with being blind. Could you? Steve
I'm on the same train as you, I work with computers , if I were to lose my sight, I would need to use other resources , like braille (however is spelled) keyboards and probably a lot of voice recognition programs. It would be hard, but life won't be over, my other senses should become better, or that's what I guess. To tell the truth, sight would be the last sense I would choose to lose. Sabre
It's a myth that people senses get better when deaf, blind ect, they still have the same range as before, but you learn to pay alot of attention to them. There's even blind people who can use a simple form of echo loction. ie using clicking sounds to detect large objects.Even so, I only know of 1 game for the blind, and it's rubbish. Showtime 1-1
My life is airplanes, so If I were to lose my eyesight, my life as I know it right now would be over. Maybe I'd become a monk or philosopher or something.

Asper Sarnoff
I don't think I could cope with becoming blind, but even less if I broke my back and became fully paralyzed. That is my biggest and only fear.

And no, I am not a pilot but I still like the cool looks of airships. And yeah there are lots of instruments and equipment which you can not use if you are blind.
