Present opening ideas...

Alright. Every time I'm invited to someone's Birthday party, I try to create a situation that makes it fun or hard for them to open up his/her gift. Lately though, I've been running out of ideas. Here are some to show you what I mean:

-Giving the birthday person a tissue box, making them think that they have to pull every single tissue right out of the box to get to the gift card at the bottom of the box. Little do they know that the gift card is in my pocket...

-Putting a gift inside a box that's inside a box, that's inside a box, that's inside a box, that's...etc.

-Putting a 20$ bill inside a balloon so they have to pop it, to get the bill when really, its a fake piece of paper. The real bill is inside my pocket.

Top tip. Send them on a treassure hunt. It requires a lot of preparation, but it's always worth it to see when they run from place to place, only finding bits of paper with proper, hard riddles on where the next location is.

Be carefull not to make things to difficult or long tough.

I bought my dad a steering wheel cover one year for Christmas, I put it in a large box, that I filled with pillows, he thought he was getting something big, tacky, but funny (to me at least)

I also once wrapped up a gift in Gorilla Glue tape, several layers, that will make it tough to open

Heh...I'd like to give both my parents a bat to the head, and matching unmarked, hidden burial sites...then I could get some peace and quiet around this home for once. :P

HAHA, I thought i was the only one who did stuff like this.

-Cutting extra sheets of paper and taping them to the card with money, pictures, and messages underneath, scattering them all over the card(some hidden well)

-printing off a paper with the robocop action figure case on it, taping that to a box, rapping most sides of the box, leaving a large enough opening on one side of the gift, that you see the robocop action figure case and saying "I ran out of wrapping paper" then putting some money inside the box.

-creating flash animations as birthday cards and linking them to it.

I like wrapping the present, and then placing it inside a larger box, and wrapping that box, making presents nesting inside each other like Russian nesting dolls, where you open the large one, and there's a smaller one inside.  And every few wrapped boxes he/she opens, there's "HA HA!" written in big red letters.  My friend had that happen on his birthday, no I didn't wrap that present.  It was really hilarious though.

Especially with video games, I would put the items in cereal boxes and wrap them with several layers of paper.  That way, when someone finally gets through all the paper, they get CEREAL! BWAHAHAAHAH!  :P

How about less paper wasting pranks? I got nothin'

Yeah...we should be more eco-friendly. Anyway, thanks for the ideas. I'm sort of looking for a cool idea that involves something other than a box heavily wrapped with duck tape or the box in a box in a box idea. I need...innovation.

HOW ABOUT THIS!! A box is just plain, and when the person opens it up, it has a piece of paper that reads: I.O.U. ONE GIFT, and if they turn it over, they get a complex pop-culture quiz to figure out what the gift is.  Meanwhile, you are hiding it all along!
