Hideki Kaiyma, the director of the game Okami, Bayonetta, Resident Evil 1 and 2, Viewtiful Joe and other games shows interest in creating the a new Starfox game! He first wrote on Twitter that he wanted the team that made Starfox 64 to make it, but then decided he wanted his team to do it! This could mean we will get another game soon! And looking at the beautiful and awesome Okami game Kayima made, I am all for him directing it.

Holy crap! This sounds awesome! If any third-party developer takes part, what better than someone who liked SF64, wants a new Starfox game, wants Miyamoto to avidly take part, AND MADE OKAMI, VIEWTIFUL JOE, ETC! *hyperventilates*  :D Great job on finding this out Falcool!  This should go on the main page!!

It'd be really cool to see him do a starfox game...the only worry I have is whether or not he has garble or voice acting.

I've heard good things about Okami and Bayonetta, haven't played them myself. I wouldn't argue if he got the rights to a game.

Wanting is different than actually having. I'll be pretty surprised if Nintendo actually allows this, tho, it would be awesome.

Bayonetta is dmc with tits. It's like a mirror image but completely different too. This guy did a great job with both and i'd absolutely love to see what he'd do with starfox.

It does not really matter to me who is making the next game as long as Shigeru Miyamoto is the creative head of the game. StarFox is his masterpiece (his best project IMHO :D), so he should be behind the story, characters etc.

Just my viewpoint...

I agree at the first part, Miyamoto should be the creative head for the next Starfox game, lets just hope that Kaiyma can get the project started.....

He can certainly get it going. He just needs the rights and the ok from nintendo.

Poll removed. No need for a quantitative result here.

I hope Nintendo takes him up on his offer. The series could use a pick-me-up from a well-done classic-inspired Star Fox game.

Only bad thing I could really see coming from that is when I think of Bayonetta and it's over the top sexuality (don't get me wrong, I love the game, and the over-sexuality just made it funny as hell), and then Star Fox. However, Julius I'm sure would consider that a good thing. Lawl.

I think that the Director has a well-know reason

to keep Krystal in the series now...

Mm I wouldn't be surprised if it was created by these people, and I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't, I think they made a game similar to starfox, but never released it, cause SF 64 was released or something like that, or I could be distorting a few things about multiple games and putting them together in my mind, and not realizing it... Either way WOO SF!

Oh yes, this is definitely something I look forward to happening. I'm not exactly happy with how they're passing Star Fox around like a baton, but I just hope that if this is made possible, I think the director would do his utmost best. Knowing he's the director of Okami, and that is a beautiful game, I'd say...I'd like to see how he would do on Star Fox!

Star Fox played hot potato with third companies before, what stopping them with letting one more company get involved?

Then again the way things have been with Miyamoto-san, I don't think he will want to make any decision handing it over for future production anytime soon. Doubly-so when him and the Nintendo company are more focused on the family aspects on the Nintendo Wii.
