Pleb Classic?

Getting straight to the point, I recently came across an interesting fact. Many of todays classic works, such as shakespear, count of monte cristo and sherlock holmes, were all thought of back in there day as popular crap for the stupid due to their mass appeal and large amount of sex and violence. These days they are considered untouchable classics that are taught in schools and university people dedicate their lives to studying. Even the writer of holmes hated the character and only did stories for the money.

So, does this mean that the 'popular pap' of today, such as Fifa, Halo, Modern Warfare and Transformers will be annalized and taught in schools 100 years from now?

Oh gosh, I HOPE NOT! SOCIETY COULD DO SO MUCH BETTER!! Wouldn't it be cool, if that the only remnant of a video game people found in the future, was an N64 with hookups and controllers, a TV, and a copy of Starfox64.  That would be awesome! :D

Well, I'd certainly prefer it if the only remnaint found of our popular culture was SF64, instead of something horrid, like a proper movie turkey, Bay's Transformers being a prime example.
