ThePointingMan
Hehe, I think you meant 2012 where you wrote 2010...Anyways, no I don't beleive in this, it's all based on the fact that the miyan calender ends that year isn't it? Well, mebbe they would have kept working on it, to make the calander bigger, if they wheren't all killed off, I doubt that too though...
Asper Sarnoff
One person I watch on DA put it into words better than I ever could. My sister keeps asking me if the world is going to end in 2012 (as if I decide it), and no matter how many times I tell her that the Mayan calendar didn’t predict the end of the world, just the end of a time (It would be like someone picking up a calendar from 2010 and going, ”Oh my god! This ends at December 31! That means the world is going to end that day!”)http://humon.deviantart.com/So, I don't believe in that the world is going to end anytime soon. Chrono Reaper
Unless the ice shavings decide to summon the giant dick in the sky to avenge the death of their fallen, I highly doubt we'll die in 2012.

Sarita
My government teacher pointed out something to me very interesting the other day. The fact that the monk who made up the current Gregorian calendar miscalculated the year of Jesus' birth. Who knew? That makes the real 2012 (the way he intended it to be) was actually around 4-6 years ago. (I say 4-6 because even the scientists and theologists that picked up on this still haven't pin-pointed an exact year yet.)So 2012 already happened. :P

fox1235
I don't believe it but alot of dumb kids do . The just resets like a clock. To just show you how stupid the kids at my school are, they thought the Haiti and Chile earthquake was a sign of 2012.
Matrilwood
The thing about the 2012 theory is that its coming from the same peoples that believed that the sun would die if they did not sacrifice a massive amount of people. It was part of Mayan and Aztec culture to believe the world was going to end I guess. And even if everything did fall apart, its not like everyone would die. I mean, we survived the last mass extinction didn't we? (By that, I'm talking about the end of the dinosaur age)I mean the Mayans are right, we are due for another mass-extinction event. If you want to take an interesting point of view. Well the last mass-extinction-event wiped out the dinosaurs, and every one knows that by then they had dominated the entire planet. Maybe the mass extinctions are just a way of keeping the balance. So now its humans turn to end their reign of terror and return the earth to balance.****But that said, it is statistically imposable to for every single human to die in one year. So even if Mass-extinction-event #6 does come along.1. we would have detected it by now and2. We'd survive until 2020 at bear minimum.

Guest Julius Quasar
It may not be the end of the world, but the end of an age, maybe....(and the beginning of another age, perhaps..."The Stupid Ages"? )
CrypticQuery
So the Mayan calender ends in 2012, WHAT IF THEY GOT TIRED OF MAKING A DAMN CALENDER!?!?! I can't believe people can be so naive. Sableye
I can explain all of these earthquakes happening. So far I heard on the news:[move]Haiti[/move] [move]Chile[/move] [move]Japan/China[/move] [move]Calfornia[/move] [move]Indonesia[/move] [move]Solomon Islands[/move]Total period of time form Haiti to Solomon:4 MonthsDon't you think that's weird?BUT here's the reason.But...Did you notice the no hurricanes last year? That the hurricanes, I readed on an magizine about science, that they release stress on the ground a bit by bit. So's that why areas usually used to hurricanes are less likely to have earthquakes. Those areas are in the hurricane season area.So...[move]2012 or just a coindience? you decide.[/move]

Earthquakes happen all the time. Even now there is one going on beneath your feet, you just don't feel it. Earthquakes are nothing more than shifting movements in the earth's crust. Only when the plates are stressed from the amount of tension with another plate near the faults do we feel them compared if you lived farther way from the faults. These events of earthquakes these past few years are nothing more than coincidence. I was around when the Big one hit here in LA nearly sixteen years ago, and that's as big as I ever been in one. But like I said, the earth's plates move ALL THE TIME, so technically 5th grade Earth Science, earthquakes are happening all the time! If you disagree look at a seismograph and tell me if the fine point needle is flat lining...Either way its meer coincidence in my opinion, i dont believe the world will end in 2012

Of course, havingspotted a UFO per day myself first.Otherwise, no need to go "OMG!! ITS A CONSPIRACY!!"because as much as some people might like, it is not. I remember joking about in school once during the 90s. At a certain time of a certain day, some of pretended to die as was said on the news. krystal comes and blows up earth jk jk jkbut these earthquakes coming are very strange.
