Hollywood is actually quite boring.

So, my coworkers come in and mention that they are filimg an episode of the TV show Friday Night Lights right outside of the building I work in. They keep doing the same thing over and over and over. I don't think I would have the patience for that. :/

Hehe, I can't stand anything recently churned out of that mass-produced garbage dump they call Hollywood. :D

I've been in school musical productions, and having to play out the same scene over and over and over again can really wear on the nerves. (Trust me, me and a couple of my best friends were about ready to stab each other at certain points.)

However, when the final product comes out and it's actually good, it makes those annoying portions all worth while.

Second this really. I've participated in a handfull of larger revues, as an actor, and all the rehearsing required to act out the scetches properly often comes close to driving people insane. Especially for me, who've got a stickybrain when it comes to things like this, and usually know all my lines, and the others also after the third rehearsal or so.

For the most part, I agree with this, with the exception of Coraline and The Fantastic Mr. Fox.

Those 2 movies are awesome!

But yeah, the movie industry, like the music industry, is going to hell in a hand basket.

Also, the damn movie tickets are gettin' too damn expensive!

$10 to $13 for a major motion picture!?  Used to be $8...damn greedy bastards!

Pretty much why I don't like going to movie theaters. That, and you have no idea who was in that seat before you and what they did. That, and every time I do go, there's always those people that insist on taking babies to the movie theater, where the loud sounds are gonna hurt their ears and make them cry. I just don't get the thought process behind taking a baby to see a movie like Aliens vs. Predator, when does that sound like a good idea? You're not going to enjoy the movie because you have to try and stop the baby from crying the entire time, essentially missing the movie, the baby isn't gonna enjoy it because he doesn't understand it and is just crying the entire time, and the people around you definitely aren't gonna enjoy it because there's a freaking baby crying two seats over. What good comes out of taking a baby to a movie theater?

EXACTLY!!! I'd still be sad if on-demand movies and live streams of movies started replacing theaters, nothing can match the experience of seeing a blockbuster film on opening day in a theater! :D

I have far too many thoughts, opinions, and points of view on movie theatres and the customers that go to them, so I'll just keep my mouth shut on that.

Anyhoo, while I can get what DZ is saying about the repetitiveness of filming a show or film, I think I'd still enjoy working on something like that. The end product would make all the hard work and annoyance worth it.
