I just got chewed out by another user in IM.

Look...I'll say this clearly and emphatically.

Don't ask me to feel sorry that a certain SFO member left.

Don't ask me to apologize for what happened.

I won't go into any exact details, but ultimately his reasons and decision to leave were his own, and not mine - he neither solicited nor received my input on the matter.  I didn't even know he was leaving until he announced it.

I don't wish to discuss this again.

The altercation occurred off SFO.  That's like me temp banning someone on the KLA for an argument that occured on msn, even if it's related somewhat to something that is going off on the board. Mods and admins should NOT be interfering in off board matters  >_>

If it was something like this that occurred over a PM on SFO than that's another matter.

He has no reason to lie, and he didn't.

Regardless of the reason and whether it's true or not, withholding certain information from other people is not considering lying.  Someone can leave the forum and not give any reason whatsoever and because he didn't give ALL the reasons why that doesn't make him a liar.  When people leave jobs, forums, etc, they are under no obligation to disclose ALL the reasons they left nor prioritize them

Only in this case, Mr. Krystal isn't making ANYTHING up.  He is been truthful in everything he has posted as to his leaving.  If he wants to MSN certain people and divulge other reasons why he left that he didn't post up on SFO that's his business and none of ours.  I respect Mr. Krystal greatly and he's had an influence of sorts in my life recently. Furthermore I'm upset at this entire topic in general in the direction it's taken.

I have no further obligation to discuss any of the additional reasons so I am going to request that this topic be locked as I can see this getting very nasty.

Dermot "didn't " make Mr Krystal throw his admin position away, it was Mr Krystal's personal beliefs that made him take that decision, it was his own deal, his own call, not Dermot's or any other reason in the matter. I personally really think the whole deal is stupid, but then again, it's not my call. I tried to stay neutral with the whole subject, and even though I respect Mr Krystal, I really think he went overboard this time. Again, it's not my business. I'm going to miss his output in the staff decisions and I'll certainly feel the loss, however, I can't stand having people gossiping and giving everyone random lies, because if this keeps going, I'm mostly sure Mr Krystal will feel the need to say something, and I don't want that.

Also, Dermot, make sure to pm me if ANYONE is bothering you, no matter if it's msn or not, I for sure won't do anything, but I'll keep an eye on the member that harassed you, as well as politely ask him/her to stop.

I had to lie down as soon as I posted this thread.  My blood was boiling too much.  It didn't exactly help to have it brought up in my face.  So it was either I make this very clear very quickly, or get angry.  The more productive option is usually the more logical one.

Mr. K didn't want to discuss specifics why he left, and I feel that you guys should have respected that. No need for rumor or gossip. The reason he stepped down is irrelevant. We had a disagreement, and it could have happened over anything other than what it did. I wish he hadn't made that choice, but the choice was not mine to make.

It's not Dermot's fault. Mr. K resigned because of a philosophical difference between him and I, NOT because of Dermot. We tried to compromise, but in the end that turned out to be impossible.

Mr. K made the choice, but if you absolutely must blame someone, then blame me.
