Apparently someone's trying to hack my computer. If they get it through, don't expect to see me for a while.

God, do these people not have any lives?

I had Mcafee or Macafee whatever it's called. And it expired... And I find it funny that I got this as soon as I was denied access to the KLA.

McAfee and Norton are THE WORST antiviruses

out there. Too many false positives (and false negatives).

I recommend turning your firewall on, and getting

an Antivirus with far more 'power'. Avast is quite good,

and database updates are free. ESET is the one I have,

one of the bests, up there with Karpesky.

The heck?  Why were you denied...because of yiff or something? lol

Those two were among the best programs several years ago but now they are too system resource heavy and suck.  I use AVG now.

As far as I recall, yes, but today

even their programming is fairly obsolete.

While not hard to use, I would not use them if you have

Internet.

I once got something that kept doing that.  It was really freakin' annoying.  It wouldn't let us open any other applications and it kept trying to sell us anti-spyware.

X2

I recommend AVG Free Edition if you're interested in good, free protection. Remember that if your computer is a little slow, live scanning is a huge resource hog and should be turned off.

You are not getting hacked, you most likely have a trojan. If you are only getting the stuff as pop ups on your browser, then you might have a lot of malicious addwares. Remember  that hacking is the exploit of software bugs and  security holes.

On subject, you don't get trojans, viruses and addwares by just opening a browser; they usually come from sites that throw you pirated software, porn sites or malicious links in emails or other random sites. If you have a regulated amount of webpages that you visit and you don't surf too much, then that means you either got really unlucky, or somebody else went to the darkside of the internet (or maybe, you  ) . Really, antiviruses are not a solution, they help, but knowledge is your best friend, and it comes for free.

Lol wut. I have a backup computer. I tried the infected one typing this and I only got one popup. Just a balloon though. Also, Mcaffee kept my computer safe for over a Year. Nothing happened now, comcast sent us Norton. -_-
