DZComposer
So, the latest Sam & Max episode dropped today.Oh. My. God. Talk about plot twists.Dare I say it, this current round of Sam & Max episodes is Telltale Games' greatest work thus far. There was a funny TF2 reference in there, as well. I knew it was coming, as there are Sam & Max items in TF2, but it was awesome. It was a BLU Dispenser in the Cloning Lab. Sam even hits it with a wrench XD. Interestingly, it was these items that got me into Sam & Max in the first place. I now have played all their games, seen their TV series, and read their entire comic series. Seriously, this latest round of Sam & Max games is what adventure gaming is all about. I'm, sorry, SFAd has nothing on Sam & Max. These kinds of adventure games require creative thinking and problem-solving. It's not "go here, pick this up, and kill this enemy." It's "find out how to conjure up spirits when you posses no skill for it."I want more Telltale. This company knows what it is doing. I'm hoping for a revival of the Maniac Mansion franchise. The first adventure game I ever played was Day of the Tentacle. It was awesome. In fact, I am not alone in calling DOTT the greatest adventure game ever made. LucasArts let Telltale revive Monkey Island, which they did an amazing job on, so this isn't impossible....There was a DOTT reference in this S&M release, as well. The dark dimension tentacles that block your way happen to be purple in color. Max makes the comment "the green ones are friendly." In DOTT, the purple tentacle was he main villain, and the green one assisted Bernard in trying to stop the purple one. So far no one on the telltale boards have caught that one yet. DZComposer
Max isn't evil. He's just a self-centered psychopath who tends to do the right thing overall, though usually because he can have some sort of fun doing it. Sam is a bit like that too, though Sam has some remnant of a conscience. Basically, they're the textbook definition of antiheroes. And then there's their 1960 DeSoto Adventurer, which they almost treat like another character.EDIT:O8NvCsHZ3zMI like how you hit it 8 times to get the Banang. That's how many hits it takes to upgrade an undamaged dispenser in TF2.
