WILL ANDROSS STAY DEAD!?

I honestly sorta hope not. Andross is arguably the most complex character in the series, when you think about it.

Oh, you mean he has more than one dimension? :O

Andross is quite possibly 2 dimensional with hints of 3!

What with him having an actual backstory and the *gasp* sympathetic treatment in Command.

Guest Mr. Mario

It would depend me on what developer is making the SF game, if they were to include Andross, they would need to give a good reason, otherwise no don't bother bringing him back, just make him stay dead and come up with a "Out of line" villian like the Anglar emperor

Absolutely. Only character who can come close to that is Wolf, but in Wolf's case it's nearly indistinguishable from nothing more than a variable personality.

His treatment in Command was one reason I actually liked the game. Only reason I play these bloody games is that every time one comes out they give me -just enough- to make me want to know more. :(

Buuuut yeah. I think Andross is more interesting dead than alive. In Adventures, he was just a typical madman who wanted to destroy the Lylat System for no reason. Like, he literally did not give a reason. Just said, "And now, to destroy the Lylat System!" and flew off all casual-like.

Adventures also slapped him on as a throw away villain finale to a rushed game. I wouldn't mind him coming back from the dead again if he got treatment more similar to Farewell Falco.

Right. Adventures did a lot of things wrong due to being rushed. Hurrah. *Twirls finger.*

Mabye he will...mabye he wont; you never know ther could be some hidden base that Team StarFox or the Cornerian military havent found yet...

Well, seeing as how we usually have Starfox because of him, I am hoping not. I mean, in order to stay alive, he got Krazoa POWER!!1!one So I hope not, and I highly doubt it. It does give us a goal in Starfox.

I see a canonically possible way for there to be multiple Andross clones, and this is NOT based on the Itoh comic.

It's the dimension transporter. It's what allowed the Gorgon to warp in, as well as the blocks on Venom's surface. Presumably Oikonny's Stealth Squadron units in SFAs used them.

Andross' brain was also equipped with one. Interdimensional travel can cause all kinds of crazy shit.  It cold even mean Andross can be in two places at once!

NOTE: this is speculation

In sci-fi, anything with a semi-plausible explanation is accepted. I could totally see something like this actually happening if Nintendo started putting a bit more thought into the games. :D

Nintendo: What's that? I can't hear you over the sound of how much money we have. Ooh, I think we just got richer than God!

And the Itoh comic can gain more prevalence in the future, given its little details seem to be popping up in the games.

If Herbert and the Telekinetic Amplifier show up in a game I will make the most girlish squeal.

Ah yes..General Scales and Dash ( :dash: ) would be a fine replacement for the mad head monkey Andross..

Andrew could be a good replacement too you know. *shot*

Anyway...

Sure, I'd love to see Andross come back.  Mainly because his latest (kinda) appearance was from Adventures, and that game was pretty much a "f*ck you" to all the Andross fans out there.  Yeah yeah yeah I know the game was rushed, but in my personal opinion, if you're going to just slap in a very promissing villian in a game like that, then I'd honestly rather not have him in the game at all.  Heck, Krystal somehow turning out to be the one behind it all would have made a better ending than that. :/

I say yes. Dash Bowman is the new Andross. He's just like Andross in one of the Command Andross. I've got one thing to say about that ending:

Nintendo made one chance for StarFox Wii, but they blew it up! :dash:

Thats even worse writing than bringing back Andross from the dead.

Possible, but may not be likely. Remember, Andross is always coming back from the dead, so what would make Nintendo think that this will be the last time? Like Kenny in South Park, always comes back from the dead, and probably will never kill him "for good." They might even have his spirit do all the stuff. But I don't know.
