Harlow
So, if Each planet of Lylat would be a real life Continent or Geographic Area, which one would they be? Ex. and my opinion Corneria: North America (Both Superpower territories) Fortuna: South America (Full of nature and technology almost on-point as Corneria's) Titania: North Africa and Middle East (Based on % of sand, seemingly lack of rains and ancient civilizations) Fichina: Europe (Mostly cold on those areas, but also urban) Sauria: Kind of like a mixture of Southeast Asia, Sub-Saharian Africa and South America's jungles and ecosystems. A virgin territory Katina: Australia (Also semi-desertic, but more developed) Aquas: Caribbean and Polynesia Zoness: China/Japan (Superurban area, of course, if Zoness was cleaner like it's past) Macbeth: A supermineral producer. Possibly in the lines of Chile and Russia Venom: I don't like to think of it as a Apocalyptic world. More of a territory with lots of civil wars. I think I'd say Caucasus and past USSR countries Asia-wise (those ending with "-stan"), just because it's geography may seem more alike that Area... So, which one's your opinion? Lord Asriel
Now thats an interesting thread. I agree with most of your points, though I'd change 2 or 3 things. First, Europe is not all cold. Spain, Italy and Balkan, as well as some other parts are damn hot too. So I'd rather share Corneria with USA/Europe. Now Fichina would be Antactica. And we could add Papetoon and think of it as Middle East, and save Titania for Africa, a continent you did not implement in your stuff. Beside, the ruins could remind Egyptian stuff. I'm aware of that and Western European countries might fit with Corneria. I was thinking of countries like France, Germany, Norway, Sweden and Finland when I made Fichina. Oops, I missed Africa >< I meant to post it as Titania North and Sauria South
Drasiana
I got a real Siberia/Northern Canada/Scandinavia vibe from Fichina, though I wouldn't say "all of Europe". Most of these are pretty accurate to what I always kind of assumed. Never thought of Zoness as China/Japan but now that you mention it, it would be pretty neat. I'd like to see that, lots of Asian buildings built to float on Zoness' watery surface.

Oops, I missed Africa >< I meant to post it as Titania North and Sauria South I unno man, I really don't think Northern Europe is cold enough to fit with Fitchina. Maybe the parts of Norway and Sweden that are within the artic circle but you really need a place that is snow covered all the time. I would agree that Antartica would be closer, but even there it gets up to about 7 or 8 degrees in its summer. Don't yell at me for this, A friend of mine was there at christmas on a science trip and she was telling me how surprised she was at the tempurature. I also thought about Antartica, but I don't think as Fichina as deserted, but like a Nordic country. Maybe it has a 10, 20°C summer and -20, -30°C on urban areas, with natural areas still covered by snow and below-zero temperatures constantly. So, what's your opinion? :)
Prince Elite
In my opinion. The continental/planetary equivalents are as follows. Antarctica is Fichina Europe gets Corneria (lucky people) North America is Sauria (lucky people) South America is Fortuna Asia is Zoness (a lot of Asian countries are water locked) Africa is Titania and lastly Australia is Katina (Africa was also considered, but geographically matched Australia more closely.) Prince Elite
WUT He's either questioning the choice or the comment, I'm going to say the comment, and then I'll say, "look, you get Krazoa's and Sharpclaws and all kinds of awesome stuff, and on top of that Fox McCloud spent so much time there. And if one was clever enough, one could get to the Cloud Runners treasure room, then imagine the possibilites
Milkyway64
No it was the choice. How is an untainted, warm planet inhabited by DINOSAURS anywhere close to North America.

Maybe it has a 10, 20°C summer and -20, -30°C on urban areas, with natural areas still covered by snow and below-zero temperatures constantly. So, what's your opinion? Yeah, but considering in Assualt they had to put in a special station just to keep it from being a completely frozen, barren wasteland, it sounds to me like it's pretty close to deserted. But then, it depends how much you use artistic lisence to decide how much the base actually does to the planet. A friend of mine actually had a in depth conversation about this with me. I'm going with... Corneria is most of Europe. I say Europe because I've always thought of Corneria as the mother planet and they branched out from there, and that's bascially what Europe is to Western Culture Sauria would be South America. I'm thinking about rainforests and tropical climates and the ruins of ancient civilizations. Katina... I would say North America, maybe Canadian Sheild kind of territory. It was described as hinterland, and I see it as a sparsely populated colony, from what I saw of it in Assault, and that makes me think of Canada. It has alot of people, but most of the actually geography is uninhabited. Zoness... I would say Japan. For Titiania, i would say North Africa, Middle easy area. Fortuna... I don't know for this one. It was very lush as I remember from the game but not really rain forest kind of lush. Maybe just NA in general?

Asper Sarnoff
Is there any doubt that Venom, like all fictional, evil, militaristic dictatorships was based on the former USSR? And regarding the comparison of Fichina to Northern Europe/Scandinavia. We've had snow here every day the last week.

Just on the geography of those areas might seem fitting enough to be Venom . Although you do have a point. Andross does sound like the first guy named here http://www.oddee.com/item_90544.aspx And that was bordering Summer...
Star Fox Runner
My two cents! lol I could honestly see Corneria being western Europe nations, maybe even EASTERN United States. Those are where some of the western superpowers are based out of, and Corneria is that to the Lylat System. Katina I could see as the western United States. In Assault it is called the Frontier Base, and that desert around it reminds me of Death Valley and Arizona. Fichina, I would think the best suited place for that would be northern Siberia in Russia. People live there, but it's pretty dang barren and cold.

Luna Cherryblossom
Going by Harlow's opinion on planet nationalites .I'd be from Corneria,in this case my Dad was in the military so we traveled to Fichina but, moved back to Corneria.
