Sabre
Update- It's over --- Big news for FA users. Seems there is a glitch causing peoples accounts to get crossed. eg. You log in, and you get someone else. This has resulted in troll types going around deleting people stuff, or reading PMs and such. The FA staff are in bed apparently as no one is doing buggery about this. Link in code because SFO keeps breaking it up http://forums.furaffinity.net/threads/102968-Weird-as-hell-log-in-problem..- It might be worth making a note of unread messages, deleteing any private talks, and getting read for people flaming you for saying things you don't remember saying. Apparently admins can restore wiped accounts, so keep an eye out for that should they actually do something.
kkstarfox
Fortunately this won't affect me do to the fact that the only reason I have an FA or DA account is to see the artwork of friends. Anthropomorphic art or otherwise. So I dont actually put anything on there. But it is never good when a website manager doesnt do something about their site, or doesn't know how to. Which ever maybe the case.
LoneWolf
I find it hilarious that one site can screw up so many times. I mean, really, how does something like this even happen? Crossing accounts? How can they fail that badly? FA is a broken site.

Sabre
Update was posted. The technical staff has been experimenting with various speed optimisations for the site. Part of which involved caching generated pages, the other - database queries. The combination of both led to what happened overnight, but all has been reverted back to how it was, now. Thing that get's me though is that they put such a devestating experiment live on the users without warning or testing, and then went to bed leaving hours of people having accounts wiped, PMs read ect. I know hindsight (or arse-site. ...get it? ...anyway) is 20-20, but this seems like a really bad idea. Also, at the end of the month the site is getting an overhaul, so why do this now rather than include it in the update?

Wes
This website is maintained by furries AFAIK. Of course they're going to have problems like this.
Sabre
This website is maintained by furries AFAIK. Of course they're going to have problems like this. Ink Bunny doesnt as far as I know. It's less that they are furries, rather they are technically inept.
"User"
I could have sworn hearing about this same issue a while back on Vivisector. Not sure if it's the same instance or an entirely new thing though. Anyways yes, the FA admin staff are completely inept (technical or otherwise) in dozens of different ways. Among them: 1. Buying a whole new server due to problems when all you really need to do is to replace one piece of hardware? Good use of the donations that furries who need their yiff throw at the site. Dragoneer was unwilling to take the site down for few hours to save thousands of dollars. Seriously, furries can live without their favorite porn site for a day or two - oh wait, they can't... 2. Refusing outside help from people who are professionals in their field and actually know what they are doing (mainly involving security). I like how Eevee (former tech admin/coder) quit the site after him getting pissed off for the dozenth time after the literally 30+ security holes he found in the site wouldn't get fixed because he couldn't get permission to work on it. He's now an outspoken critic of the way the site is run. 3. Site dictatorship. Lots of staff have quit or been banned over Dragoneers inept leadership and unwillingness to allow any criticism of him. Apparently his "fiancee" gets a free reign to do so on his site despite not being on staff. Anyways, I could go on and on about major events that have occurred over the past few/several months but I think you get the jist of it. The site needs a complete overhaul in pretty much every way possible, with people who actually know what they are doing and who want to work with the community and who are willing to actually get FREE help in doing so by other professionals. Most of the security holes in that site are so...obvious to anyone with any concept of programming yet nothing gets done. Personally, it's gotten to the point where I wouldn't mind seeing FA go down in flames and another site like InkBunny take it's place.
DZComposer
OK, enough. This is getting close to bashing another site, which we do not do.
