Rik McCloud
I picked up an Aqua Blue 3DS yesterday with Resident Evil: Mercenaries 3D and whilst I am enjoying the game, one feature I wanted it for was the online co-op. However I am having serious troubles with connecting to online games. Doesn't seem to matter if they are public or private, whilst it will find them games (less often than not with public ones), it refuses to connect with them and I get the error code 006-0612. I have tried everything I can think of and have found so far. I have reset the 3DS' wireless, I have sat next to the router (which is a Belkin N+ Router), I have tried connecting at different times of the day and I have even taken off the security password so it's an open network (originally had WPA2 protection, which I then downgraded to WEP before turning it off entirely) and still, the thing refuses to connect. Can anybody shed any light on this?
Psygonis
Sitting too close from the router can alter the signal you know... ^^' Aside that, I'm not sure the 3DS is compatible with 802.11 N networks. Try to broadcast 802.11 G WiFi at the same time, or instead to be sure your 3DS will be able to connect. Another thing might be that you need to switch your router in "Association Mode". Like, you press a button, and some a couple of minutes, you can link a new device to your router. Not all routers have that function, but it's worth a try... Thanks for your help, Psygonis but I am still getting nothing. My router does seem to have that association mode called WPS and it connected through that but I am still having the same troubles with the game. I have also made sure that the signal is 802.11 G as before it was a mash of 802.11 B, 802.11 G and 802.11 N and the security encryption has been taken down from WPA2 to WPA. I am at a complete loss for what to do. My only guesses are that there is a problem with their server or there is some form of incompatibility with my router. Any more thoughts?
