Vulvokunvrii
Hey there SFO, how is everybody doing? I hope you're all ok. Alright so here it is: I like to draw stuff, and I'm sure alot of you love to as well. THe problem form me is that colored pencils sort of ruin the picture, in my opinion. I was trying to color using paint, but it would color wrong areas, and it got a bit annoying. So I pose a question to you all: Does anyone here know how to color line art pictures, or know anyone that would be willing to color one? If you do, please post here and let me know. Fluxy
Yeah, same here. Coloring line art is like, not an issue at all. There are many here that can easily help you out with that one, just some more experienced people at it, [Dras] would be able to help with like, tons tons more, if she wanted to that is. If you simply want someone to color your pics that you scan, there is no issue in there at all really; That is really easily done, no doubt about it. Just depends who is willing, and who you want to do it. Also, I love colored pencils! I color so well with them! I plan on getting a really good, almost professional, set soon/later on in the month! Just takes practice to do like everything else.

Fluxy
Well I reaslly cant pay for anything (1. I dont know how, and 2. my mother would kill me).... So in that case, you basically ask if someone would do it for free then.
Psygonis
Well... Paint sucks because it doesn't have a layers system. Basically, you have one sheet on screen, and everything you do affects everything you've done before. If you wanna do this yourself, you have to use softwares that allow you to use layers. Wouldn't be the first CG software thread, but anyway: You can start with free softwares such as Paint.NET, Photofiltre and (if you really want to suffer) GIMP. Then you have softwares that are great, and with affordable licence prizes: SAI, and Photoshop Elements mainly. But they are lots of other specialized softwares, like ArtRage, that simulates accurately the behavior of art tools/paint, Manga Studio Debut to have a manga rendering, etc... You can also browse on DeviantART, Furaffinity and other art communities to look for artists you like the style of, see what programs they use. And if they accept coloring requests. Rusakov
No mention of Artweaver? That's a good program too. Edit: of course that's an image editing program, if you want an image painting program look here.
ThePointingMan
The Gimp is an excellent program for coloring and drawing, and it's free, features a layering system. Try to keep different colors and shading/lighting/transparencies to the colors on different layers so if you decide you don't like a color you can change it easily with like, the paint tool or something. Also never color on the same layer your line art is in, put the layer with the line art on top so you can just color without fear of ruining the black lines. Rusakov
The Gimp is an excellent program for coloring and drawing, and it's free, features a layering system. The main problem with Gimp is that the latest version doesn't seem to work on Windows 7. It might work on earlier versions of Windows or if an earlier version of Gimp is used but I haven't tried. Artweaver is like Gimp but it works on Windows so I would try that first.
