Fira-Astrali
At this moment, Germany, because it's on my list and I havent got there yet. Or Scotland.
Zero Flare
A rather predictable response from me; Canada. For one, my boyfriend lives there. But of course, I'd love to see Canada as a whole. It seems to be a very beautiful country, one that I'd love to visit during the winter especially. But romantic affairs aside, I'd also like to see the Grand Canyon at sunset someday. Cliché, perhaps, but it is something I must see for myself.

Star Fox Runner
Never left the US before, so my first stop would be Germany. Particularly Westphalia, I wanna figure out why my great-great-grandfather came here in the first place. After that......... maybe the UK and Japan? Wes
Since I've never been anywhere outside of Iowa and Nebraska and I would love to travel, anywhere would be nice. But if I had to choose, I'd love to go to Germany. Germany really has it all. Natural beauty, culture and very interesting history. Other than that I'd like to be able to visit other parts of the USA and Canada.

Asper Sarnoff
Countries I've allready visited, but want to go back to, at least one more time: USA, huge variety of stuff to see and places to visit. Got some nice relatives living there too. Scotland, due to the amazing history it has, the nice people that live there and the haunted castles. Oh, and I like both haggis, kilts and bagpipes. England is also a paradise for a history nut like me, and there's countless spectacular places to visit. Italy, I never went to Rome, and that is reason enough to want to go back. Countries I haven't visited yet, but'd like to. Australia, Kenya, South Africa, Germany, France, New Zealand... There's plenty more, but I'll stop there. I wanna go to Norway >: When/if you get over here, demand your boyfriend to show you around the country as much as possible. Snuggling in the couch is good, snuggling while seeing what Norway has to offer is even better. The nature especially is unrivaled by any other country I've been in, and easily makes up for the fact that everything is 3 times as expensive as you're used to, and most people are rather nasty. I'm sure Fira here could give some tips on what she enjoyed most on her travels.
TCPeppyTc
@ Asper. Have you ever seen wolves or bears in Norway? I know there arent many but they are there. Too bad a lot of Western Europes " wildness" was killed/ cut down in middle ages. go to Rome, it is great. Pompeii and sorrento are great ( stay out of Naples)

Kenya Germany France (Been there but wanna go again) Russia Iceland Spain Australia Japan Antartica China Peru (going in April) Costa Rica Brazil England Scotland Ireland Norway (Going at Christmas :3) There are others but I've forgotten ^^; And as for things I loved about Norway, Skageflå and the Geranger Fjord were some of the most beautiful things I'd seen ^^ and the Atlantic Highway is something special too, but if you ever decide to go, make sure you go on a clear day, otherwise it ruins it a bit. What else... well, being a photographer, Norway's scenery in general was really nice ^^ And the some of the switchback roads like Trollstigen are a treat for those of us that are afraid of heights The eagle's ladder was way freakier tho, it made Asper swear :-P
Asper Sarnoff
@ Asper. Have you ever seen wolves or bears in Norway? I know there arent many but they are there. Too bad a lot of Western Europes " wildness" was killed/ cut down in middle ages. Yes I have. Not many of them left though. Sheep farmers bitch and whine because their animals get killed off when they are put out in the mountains to graze over the summer without supervision, so they get chasen away from civilisation. There's only roughly 30 wolves left in the wild, and about 150 bears. Most of the wolves have gone over the border to Sweden instead. The eagle's ladder was way freakier tho, it made Asper swear It helped a lot! Who wouldn't swear when you thread a truck with a turning radius larger than that of an oil tanker trough those hairpins? TCPeppyTc
Im surprised sheep are at risk with so many deer around. Was it cool/scary seeing them there? I also know that Russia is the European country with the most wolves bears. In Minnesota, where I am from there are also plenty of black bears and wolves ( though people see wolves far less than black bears)
Drasiana
@Asper: Yes, I fully planned on it! A lot of the wilderness looks similar to where I'm from, and Oslo itself looks somewhat similar to where I'm living, but it's all lovely stuff. I hear you guys also have a cold-water coral reef, which is totally awesome! The only thing that's prevented me from getting over to Norway so far is the several thousand dollar plane tickets If you have any airlines/methods/etc to circumvent this, by all means let me know. If we're listing places we've gone to, here's mine: Canada - BC*, Alberta*, Saskatchewan, Manitoba*, Ontario US - Florida*, Colorado*, Georgia, California, Montana England Scotland France Germany (okay, I was there for a connecting flight...but still...) Mexico Jamaica The Cayman Islands * is places I've lived.
Fira-Astrali
my plane tickets have never cost me more than 1600 CAN. I'm lucky enough right now that im still on the publically funded school system and have low costs so i can spend as i like tho, so all of my money has gone to travelling. be willing to spend hours waiting for your connecting flights tho. go see him at christmas and we can chill at copenhagen together! :P
Asper Sarnoff
We usually land on around 1400-1500 CAD Toronto-Copenhagen-Trondheim. But you're not going to Trondheim, and judging by the fact you didn't add * by Ontario, Toronto is not the ideal place to fly out from either. Shouldn't be a problem getting under one and a half grand in total if you do a touch down in Copenhagen or Amsterdam(Not in the winter!!! Everything go to hell if they get snow there.) though.
Drasiana
See, I live on the opposite end of Canada, which seems to be more expensive to fly out of Cheapest I'm getting right now for that timeframe is $1280 one way. Do you fly Air Canada?

Do you fly Air Canada? Yes, Air Canada and SAS. And I've found that if you book all your tickets at once, flying one way costs no more than flying round trip. it might be the website your using? Drasiana
Well, I'm using Air Canada's official site, with the "book all at once" function, so I'm not entirely sure what's going wrong here D: Either way I can't afford to go this Christmas ;-;
Asper Sarnoff
Many airlines actually charge more for just one way than for a whole round trip for some reason. I've got a cousin who does a lot of travelling due to art exhibitions, and often find herself ordering round trips when she only need one ways due to that, and just let there be an empty seat on the later part of the trip. Remember, I got cheap tickets, but I booked them in August/September for Christmas ^^; Many airlines actually charge more for just one way than for a whole round trip for some reason. I know, I saw that! I don't understand why they would do that :S I was looking at buying tickets when i wanted to go to NTNU, and i was ready to do the same thing. "User"
For comparison, I've had friends fly to France last year for the World Laser Quest Challenge and they didn't pay remotely close to 1,400-1,500 CAD, it was about $700-800 direct out of Toronto via Air Canada. Flights within the E.U. are usually cheap as well. For international flights not to America yes, Toronto (if you live in the Toronto area) IS your best choice when it comes to convenience and price - mainly because it's a direct flight. I was considering flying to Britain a couple of times in the past and flying out of Buffalo (where I usually fly when I'm going anywhere in the U.S.) or New York just isn't feasible price wise, surprisingly. Toronto has been ranked among the most expensive airports to fly out of in the world for years now (the landing fees are just insane). but for direct flights to popular destinations in Europe I have found it more economically viable than driving down to Buffalo or doing a connecting flight to the U.S. (where they have their own cross border fees that add up.) Hitting up different countries to your final destination really adds up in cost. Many airlines actually charge more for just one way than for a whole round trip for some reason. I've got a cousin who does a lot of travelling due to art exhibitions, and often find herself ordering round trips when she only need one ways due to that, and just let there be an empty seat on the later part of the trip. I always get two one way tickets because I have found no difference in total price as opposed to getting a round-trip ticket. In my case often I end up booking two different airlines and get a better price AND better times/dates. If I was flying to lets just say...India for example I wouldn't just search for "Toronto to India", I'd try and utilize a variety of cities/airlines to find the best combo. Dr. Orange
I'd love to visit anywhere outside of the U.S. But if I had to choose a specific country, then it have to be The Netherlands or The U.K.
