Kal
Concert band, that is, trumpet specifically. Ever wonder what Kal and co. play? (56k warning ahoy!) http://www.filefactory.com/file/acbfee/ Not us, this is Arturo Sandoval. The director gave me the practice CD instead of the recordings. Oh well. We played exactly like it...except the solos. God only knows how he didn't have a heart attack while doing that...I mean...damn. Anyways...since it's not us, you don't get to hear me doing a Jerry Lee Lewis-esque solo. http://www.filefactory.com/file/4825b9/ AKA The Tale of 00Stix, one of our directors. I love this song. http://www.filefactory.com/file/97712f/ Meh, not much to say, other than our horns screwed up their entrance. >_< http://www.filefactory.com/file/30a8b7/ Another trumpet fave. http://www.filefactory.com/file/43ab43/ This was an incredibly easy song to play...but really fun, too. Sing along! "Pineapple, pineapple, donutdonut BLUBBER!!!" http://www.filefactory.com/file/c9752d/ Once again, the director screwed up. >_< I do have to give our poor trombone section mass props for actually hitting those notes in the intro (and the trumpets for the ubah-G before the solos). And we had another solo (mine >_<), but you don't get to hear it. Blame the director. http://www.filefactory.com/file/cd9dd5/ I don't know why...this one's just cool. Kal likes. http://www.filefactory.com/file/881b4b/ Hear that piano? That's yours truly. Why is it so quiet? Once more, the director's fault; he told me to turn the keyboard way the eff down. Gotta give the oboe and trumpets credit here; one for learning to play the oboe three weeks before that concert, and the other for a long series of nasty, nasty C#-D-B trills and fingerings in section after that. http://www.filefactory.com/file/8211ce/ And finally, good ol' Funa-Uta. This is one of those friendly songs that's fun to play alone, but HARD AS HELL to put together. That slow part right before the "click-click-shhk"? Three soloists given the instructions to "go whatever speed you want as long as it sounds good." And more props to the oboeist for the second of two songs learned within the first three weeks of picking up the instrument! Woo! So there you have it. Kal plays in a band. Opinions? Critiques? (Not like it'll change anything. )
DZComposer
I was a horn player back when I was in High School. I still am, but my embechure (sp?) has gone to put. I don't currently play in any ensemble. Also, what format is this in?
Kal
*checks* Eh? .m4a? Filetype says MPEG-4 file. Winamp and iTunes play it, but WMP won't. Sorry for the inconvenience.
