Gearhart looked to Zeke. He could not deny what he said was true, but Gearhart still didn't like one thing about it. "Alright, I agree a group needs to do it, but I don't feel safe putting the women in harms way. Why don't you and I just check it out? Believe me, I don't need that long to check everything out, and as you said, a group is always better than one."

"Not too bad of a plan", Zeke replied with a sly smile, gently raising the black box into a "ready" position.  "That hallway seems to open up into a slightly larger corridor, wanna go for something along the lines of a flank?", he began to outline, mostly improvising and waiting for input.  "I could take left, you can take right, and we can have whatever that thing was trapped in a way."

Gearhart smiled. "Now that is a plan I can agree with." he said, rubbing his head slightly. His head started hurting a tiny bit, but his left arm was still good and functional. He cracked his neck, thinking for a moment. "So long as you are a good shot, we're fine." He said, and nodded. Gearhart then started moving to the area so they could invoke Zeke's plan.

Freya nodded in agreement with the mens' plan.

"Alright, Anna and I will head to the Pod Bay and get a ship ready. Try to come back as soon as you can, okay?" she suggested. She turned to Anna.

"Are you ready?"

"Oh, yeah. I am."

Anna followed Freya to the pod bay, where the catgirl got to work. Much like in the kitchen, Anna stood uselessly to the side until she received instructions. In the meantime, she filled the gap with more complaining;

"You know, I'm not too sure the guys should have done that. Not to be a jerk or anything, but I think we should have just left. May I remind you of the bloodbath in the docking bay? And those two seriously thought it was worth going all by theirselves to check it out? Really?"

Guest Mr. Mario

'Ok, when was the last time the crew cleaned their ship?! Those bugs that got me...I swore...I could've died from their poisoning...' Norman thought, getting some feeling that something else would come to him. He checked his hand to see if there was any bites from a insect whenever he shook them off...none, none was on his hand.

'So I couldn't die...well that explains it a lot.' He thought while sitting down on a very old chair, it seemed to be quite dusty as it was filled with alot of the dust around itself. He began to start sneezing it out once he inhaled the dust into his nose, his sneezing was getting louder and louder.

"AHH....CHOO!!!" He sneezed again, rubbing his nose and his eyes.

Freya avoided eye contact with Anna. She knew she was right.

"Yeah... but those guys can handle this crap way better than we could. I have an idea..."

She turned the corner and pushed the elevator button. It beeped as the doors opened.

"We'll get to the Pod Bay and tell them over the intercom that we need to leave. What do you think?"

She entered the elevator. The white light on the roof hurt her eyes, and she strained to see the numbers on the button panel.

"Mmn... Alright." Anna replied, following Freya into the elevator. The contrast also affected her, but not nearly as much as it did Freya. Before she could settle the elevator jerked, marking that it had started it's journey downward. "...By the way, do we happen to have anything to protect ourselves if whatever it is shows up? What's the plan with that?"

Freya blinked as she realised just how unprepared she was.

"I guess we'll just have to run..." she though aloud. The elevator ground to a halt, jolting slightly as it stopped in its tracks. There was an awkwardly cheery "ding!" sound as it announced that it had completed its task, and the doors smoothly slid open.

The Pod Bay was a mess. There appeared to have been a panic, but there was no one around. Tables were tipped over, most of the escape pods were missing, and there were a few bullet holes in the walls.

"We need to find the intercom," Freya whispered.

[Oh, yeah. Just wanted to say here, that I haven't forgotten about this. I am simply waiting on Crazy for a reply. Lol]

Zeke quickly slid against the wall closest, inching along it.  He held the black box carefully, ready to strike out with it.  "Heh, if it's designed to survive a crash, knocking it over someone's head won't be too much trouble", he thought with a slight smile.  He continued inching along, motioning to Gearhart for them to rush the corridor soon.

Anna stepped around the mess in the pod bay cautiously, relieved and somewhat unnerved by the lack of blood or corpses to go with the bullet holes on the wall.

"Intercom...  You know where that is? I don't even know where I am on this thing."

[Darn straight apologies. xD Lol]

Gearhart too was being as quiet, and stealthy as he could, not wanting throw anything off. And as he got to the corner, he didn't even have to look at Zeke to see that he was being motioned to. Any moment now.... He thought, no sign of sweat going down his face as it held a serious look. He was out and ready for a surprise attack, but simply waited for Zeke to give the word that would launch them to any being that could have caused this tragic ordeal.

[*avoids rotten tomatoes*]

"This better be a false alarm...", Zeke thought cautiously to himself, not wanting to find another horror show similar to in the docking bay.  He quickly glanced at Gearhart one last time before readying the box and breaking into a sprint into the unknown.  He was perspiring heavily from the sense of fear, and his fur stood on end, but he knew it was better to give the others a more viable chance at making it out.

[You wish they were tomatoes. xDDD]

Gearhart This time looked at Zeke, and saw the scary position he was in. Gearhart was not too fearful, but the thought of getting hurt did run deep in him. He smiled, looking to Zeke, just to try and attempt to make him feel the slightest better. And when Zeke made the charge, Gearhart too came rushing in, fists out and ready for anything as he used his senses to scan the room. But as soon as he charged in, the real idea of life or death entered his mind as he now too had small beads of salt water running down his muzzle, and into his chest. But he had to stay strong.

[Oh NOEZ!:lol:]  [Damn, we're getting a high temperature of 28 degrees Fahrenheit tomorrow ]

For a moment, time seemed to stand still.  Nothing but the hallway ahead and keeping the black box safe occurred to Zeke, and mostly everything else was blocked out.  Upon finding nothing out of the ordinary, he slowed down, and began to scan the area more closely.  "Hart', do you see anything?", he whispered as quietly as he thought audible, hoping Gearhart would be able to pick up the sound.  The hallways were still bathed in the eerie glow of the emergency lights, it made spotting small inconsistencies slightly more difficult.

[Ouch! >.<]

The breaths he took left small seeable traces of fog, as it was chilly in this room. He easily heard what Zeke said, and he nodded, scanning the room. "This room is messed up too... Stay safe..." He said with a small whisper, bending down as he looked all around more, taking his moments to listen closely to the sound waves traveling through the surface benieth him. Sound traveled faster through solid objects, and Gearhart knew this.

Glancing around frantically, Freya noticed a small, boxed off room in the corner of the Pod Bay. She darted towards it, and called to her friend.

"I think this is the control panel! ... Yeah, here it is! There's a mic and stuff here..."

She pushed the red button and lowered her mouth to the mic. Taking a deep breath, she announced:

"This is Freya in the Pod Bay. I repeat, this is Freya in the Pod Bay. Would Gearhart and Zeke please make their way to join us. Departure is imminent within the next ten minutes."

She let go of the red button. Then, flushed with the embarrassment of speaking to an unknown number of people, she quickly turned again and added a "Thank you" to her announcement. She didn't know why

"Always hated the sound of my own voice," she giggled to Anna.

"Mmhmm", Zeke offered quietly in return, now resuming a careful walk through the area, attempting to find anything out of place.  Many of the doors were flung open, panels were missing, and overall, the area was in need of an overhaul.  As he continued looking, a sinister thought crossed Zeke's mind.  He clutched the black box tighter, and, knowing Gearhart could hear him fine, whispered, "Hart', do....do you have any idea how much longer the reserve oxygen is going to last on this ship?"

The intercom call broke the silence suddenly, giving Zeke a slight scare.  He took heed of the message, but stayed in the area a little while longer, making sure not to miss anything.

The question made his ears perk as it was something he was too worried about. "...There was plenty on here for a while after we were planned to land... So I am sure we are safe..." He said, still a bit worried too by the thought. Even if this force was overcome... Would they die?

The intercom made him cover his ears, as technical sound hurt his sensitive senses. "We... Should get going. I don't hear any vibrations here, so I am ninety-nine percent sure we are safe."

"Well, ninety-nine is a number I can definitely live with", Zeke joked aloud in a more relaxed manner, scooping up the black box.  He held it up to his ear and shook it gently, making sure that nothing had seemed to come loose.  With that he met up with Gearhart, ready to get off of the ship before any major life-support systems had the chance of failing.

Chuckling, walking through the doors with Zeke next to him, Gearhart made sure to use his feet to detect forms of vibration waves so he could tell if someone was following them close behind. "Yeah, I tend to think so as well. The girls must be fine though, hearing from the intercom."

"Mmhmm, although we'd better hurry back, no one wants to be in a small group for long on this thing", Zeke replied, glancing behind quickly.  "Can't wait to get off of this ship....but what exactly are we going to do with it?", he thought aloud, pondering to jettison it into space.  "At least this place is easy to navigate, and we'll eventually find out what happened with this black box", he continued, allowing the sound of conversation to calm his nerves.

Gearhart's ears perked, hearing the small thump that came from Zeke's excited chest. He placed a hand to rub his left ear and nodded. "Most definitely. The faster we can get that analyzed, the faster we can get the proper people to take care of this situation..." He said, sighing as he did. The thought of the engine not working ran through his mind a lot, swallowing the small amounts of saliva in his mouth as he did. Would they be able to get home? Gearhart hopped so, and tried his hardest to stay positive. He was only nine-teen. He would be damned to let himself die at such a young age.

[i'll be back soon, but this will be my last post for now ]

".......All these paths and hallways are starting to look the same.", Zeke quietly pointed out, continuing along the path that they had taken earlier.  Many things had been crossing his mind, none of which directly pertained to their demise.  The emergency lights had still been holding up well, and their power supply seemed to be in good standing.  "Out of sheer curiosity.....would you happen to know where the Great Fox's computer is steering the ship?"

Anna waited with Freya, and started getting impatient. It had only been a few minutes, but every second increased her gut's urge to get into a pod and leave ASAP.

"Freya, how much longer should we wait? How do we even know they made it? I don't want to just leave anyone behind, but I have an awful feeling about this..."
