[i'll be back soon, but this will be my last post for now ]

".......All these paths and hallways are starting to look the same.", Zeke quietly pointed out, continuing along the path that they had taken earlier.  Many things had been crossing his mind, none of which directly pertained to their demise.  The emergency lights had still been holding up well, and their power supply seemed to be in good standing.  "Out of sheer curiosity.....would you happen to know where the Great Fox's computer is steering the ship?"

"Honestly?... Not at all." he said, then slightly chuckled. "Technology is what you might say is my, 'bane'." He said, telling Zeke that he was no good with it, nor knowledge of it. They continued walking, thinking it was a tad strange, but not wanting to bring much up as for fear of worrying Zeke a bit. He then smiled, and pulled out his wallet. "Say, Zeke?... What is your little reason to stay alive?" He asked, just to help bring his morale up by some type of thought. A loved one, a car, a nice family... All would do, he just wanted Zeke to give himself a small reminder.

"Just a little longer Anna, they can't be far away..." Freya replied, feeding off her companion's anxiety.

She wandered around, looking for an escape pod that wasn't damaged. There was one, two rows down, that seemed intact. She pried open the door and climbed in.

"Hey Anna, this one seems to be - OH GODDAMN IT IN HELL!"

She fell backwards out of the pod, a drop of about six feet. A stiff body dropped out after her. She had knocked him over as she climbed in. He was almost rigid from the early stages of rigor mortis, and his body seemed to be unharmed. He had an empty pot of painkillers in his grey hand.

Freya crawled away from him, her eyes wide and tail bushed with fear.

"Heh, I'll be fine", Zeke replied with a small grin, honestly not wanting to think of not making it back to the one he treasured the most.  "Those escape pods can't be too far off, let's step it up a bit if you don't mind", he commented, raising his stride to a brisk walk.  Things were starting to look up, signs posted around the halls reassured them that they were taking the right route, and with the thought of freedom, morale was boosted.

Anna jumped backwards with a screech, and then forward to help her friend up, being very careful of the dead body.

"What the hell is this? Did this guy commit suicide?!"

The hyeness glanced around the room, stopping on Freya's face as if to communicate that she's -this- close to losing it.

The cat-girl grabbed hold of Anna's paws, not knowing what to do with her own. Her voice was shaky, and her breaths were rising as gasps.

"A-A-Anna there's a guy with-th-th, I don't know, wh-wh-what is this, I d-d-don't even..." she sounded so pathetic it angered her. She stopped, covered her face with her hands and took a deep breath. She sighed, and approached the body. She noticed the empty bottle in his hand.

"What was it that pushed him so far..?" Freya muttered to herself. She checked his pockets, trying not to look at his face. He was a doberman, and that was all she wanted to know. In his breastpocket, she found a wallet and a pen. Both were useless so she tossed them aside. In the hidden pocket on the inside of the doberman's coat, she found a small disc and a keycard for the pod.

"Anna, look! The keycard for the pod! Great! We can use this. But what's on this disc... should we check it out?"

"Here?" asked Anna, squeezing at Freya's hand. "No. Screw that. Whatever is there can wait until we're off this ship, got it?"

"It's okay, there's a device in the pods that let's you view visual information and hear audio. It's usually for the training videos the trainees use. Maybe it'll work?" Freya mused. She placed the disc gently between her teeth and scrambled up the side of the pod. She remember arriving in a similar pod when she started her Assistant Chef job. Such a fond memory.

She pushed the disc into a slot under a screen. There was a "beep" sound and then more clicking and beeping. The computer was struggling to wake up.

"Goddamn Windows..." Freya muttered, "Anna, need a hand?" She offered to pull her friend up into the safety of the small ship.

Anna took Freya's hand and climbed in, sighing. She really didn't like the idea of paying attention to a screen over their surroundings, and she very much doubted this dead guy had much interesting to say, but who was she to argue. She also was still itching to just go as the guys still hadn't shown up, and planned on asking about it as soon as the disc was over.

Freya pulled the hyeness up, and turned towards the screen again. An image of a young doberman appeared before them. He was in a darkened room and wore his uniform, but it was smudged with dirt and creased at the joints.

"My name is Alfred Winchester. Most people call me Al. I'm a Private for the Patrol of the Great Fox. I was assigned here two years ago because of fickle luck. I have a girlfriend, her name is Tracy. She's a Spaniel, beige. The prettiest little dog I've ever seen. This message is for her.

Tracy - if you're watching this right now, I am no longer in the world of the living. I have taken my own life. But you must understand that I had no choice. There's a creature going around here, a monster. It's tearing people apart from the inside. It arrived with Star Fox, and jumped onto Frank. You might remember him, he stayed with us for a couple of week last summer. It killed him, right before my eyes. And it made him split up into little bits, like a ship getting rid of extra load. And then he, it, killed everyone around me.

I ran, Tracy. I could have killed it but I ran. And now I'm here, alone, and I've left all my friends for dead. I can't live with that. I'm sorry baby, I really am."

The message stopped.

"Okay" Anna began, completely convinced, "We leave now. We have a ****ing monster jumping onto people and ripping out their insides. Start this thing, please."

[i have so much to go on! J/K]

They continued down the halls, finally reaching what appeared to be the entrance to the escape pod area.  The automatic doors in this area seemed to have suffered a malfunction, or were cut off from the reserve power.  "Looks like we'll need to rush this one...", Zeke rasped impatiently.  He quickly picked up his pace, using his shoulder and the black box as somewhat of a battering ram.

[i'M SORRY! >.< Lol. Just woke back up, and dealing with major headache.]

Gearhart nodded his head, knowing the brute way was the one that would save them. He timed and coordinated the charge with Zeke, making sure to his the doors with his left and main shoulder for more power.

[i'm sorry to hear about that headache, did you at least have an ok rest? :P]

With their combined efforts, the door stood no match.  It collapsed inward, falling straight to the floor and creating quite a ruckus.  Knowing that the others had to be somewhere near, Zeke called out.  "Is anyone around!?, Preferably not dead or insane!", he joked slightly in an attempt to lighten the mood.

[Heh, yeah. I got woken up by some yelling aimed my way. So it was a good two hour nap, yes. Lol.]

Gearhart nearly went down with the door as well, but was able to keep his balance as he panted a small amount, his endurance not being the best. "Freya!" He called out, wanting to get off of this ship.

Guest Mr. Mario

'What was that announcement eariler about? I don't think I was paying any attention...' Norman thought and groaned to himself, wondering where he should be right now while he was still seperated from the group and did not know where to be now. Just then, his fur on his arm started to feel slightly ticklish so he quickly began scratching it...just to see more bugs crawl up to his fur.

"OH SH*T, NOT AGAIN!!!!" He yelled out again, quickly shaking his arm and watching the insects fall out of it.

'I need to get somewhere right now, I CAN'T take this room anymore!!' He shouted in his thought, running as fast as he could a location he thought he would not be bothered by the insects again, the pod bay.

Entering the room, Norman slammed the door hard and huffed and puffed as loud as he was...he wondered if there was going to be a way to leave the ship.

As Steve turned a corner, Steve let out a small gasp as he saw a thing on the floor, crawling. Its body looks as though it's been decaying for years. Its torso and head have blood. Its limbs were thin and look brittle. It was crawling toward him, then raised its head. Steve looked at it and it at him; Steve didn't know whether to attack it or leave it. He backed a bit, still looking at the crumpled figure. He slid his hands into his back pocket and put out a knife.

(lol did I overdo a zombie description?)

On board the USS. Charlemagne, a Shadow Element capital ship, Arashikage sat in an empty -other than a few chairs and a table- room, he was being briefed as to what his next mission was

"Lieutenant Arashikage, you will be assisting a small group of people on board the Great Fox while the Star Fox team is away" Said an Irish merc wearing a red beret and the same camouflage as Kage

"What will I be doing to assist them?" Kage asked

"I don't know, it's up to their jurisdiction what you do there" He answered, "You will find your pod and weapon in the next room, in addition, you will have two M84 stun grenades, and one AN-M8 smoke grenade, you will also be carrying your standard medkit, and your SAT-WI phone to contact us with"

Kage nodded "Understood" He said as he stood up and saluted.  The obviously higher in command mercenary saluted back, and they both dropped it at the same time as Kage opened the door to the armory to get his things ready

--

It was 0900 hours, Kage had his things together and ready to go in his backpack, he walked along the hangar bay of the Charlemagne, boarding the ship he was to be dropped off in "We will not be able to pick you up after you get on board, we have just received word that your SAT-WI phone will not work there, and we will have no way of reaching you, when you are done, you are to inform the captain to return you to these coordinates" The pilot said as Kage boarded, Kage nodded "Understood" He said, accepting the slip of paper from the pilot.

--

After several hours of flying, the Great Fox came into view, Kage got ready to board, he got his oxygen mask on and ready, and opened the airlock, stepping inside, he waited till they were directly overhead before opening the doors and jumping out, his course directed for the hangar bay of the Great Fox.  Upon landing, Kage walked up toward the airlock leading to the main area of the ship, entering it, and stripping his mask off.  He opened the doors and stepped inside, his TAR 21 strapped to his back, along with his backpack

(Tell me if this is a good size, or if I need to edit something plz)

Suddenly, the figure turned around and crawled the other way. Steve was puzzled why. Is it leading him somewhere? A trap, maybe? He still isn't sure. He gave the hallway one last sweeping look, then went through another hallway... hopefully to where the others are, and not where the other strange entities are.

As soon as he turned the corner the creature earlier jumped at him with amazing speed. Steve ducked just in time before rushing to it and cutting its head off. He stood up, looked around, and decided he'd go to the pod bay. His ship might even have arrived and waiting for him.

Right now, he wishes he shouldn't have gone inside on his own.

Kage walked around the halls for a while, seeing nobody "Hello?" He called, walking around the ship, he called around for someone, not exactly sure whether to be creeped out or not.

As Steve walked down a fifth hallway he heard a distinct sound of engines being turned off. An engine sound he had no trouble recognizing.

'My ship!'

He hurried along the hallway, feeling extremely lucky that he didn't encounter any strange creature as he went. All he was worried about now is his ship and about the others.

'I don't want to be in this ship alone now, do I?'

Kage arrived at the door for the pod bay, he opened it slowly "Hello?" He asked, not exactly sure why he was there in the first place, but at the distinct sound of a voice coming from an escape pod, he ran down toward it, "Hey, what's going on?  Nobody's here" He asked, looking up at the escape pod, then back down at the body, "Shit, what happened to this guy?"

Freya stared down from the Pod she and Anna had now claimed. The stranger, asking them a simple question, had scared the crap out of her.

"Who the hell are you?!" she asked, her tail bushing and her ears flattened down. She bared her tiny, cat-like teeth and gave her best hiss.
