Alright, I haven't made a post in a while, but I just acquired new (huge) speakers, so to break them in let's play some super bassy tracks.

Also worth mentioning is that Electric Daisy Carnival, probably the single biggest electronic music event in the world, is now coming to NYC.

So go rave your brains out.

(Hello, I am new here!)

This topic caught my eye real fast. I am always looking for new techno to listen to, and electronic dance music to dance to with my friends. Thank you for posting, It looks like I will have to spend time on this thread to go through the previous pages so I can see what I like.

Anyways, heres a bit of what I enjoy:

What about an aspiring artist in this field?

I've recently discovered the means to produce electronic music of my own, and have been close to obsessed with it over the last few months, and likely will remain so for a very long time to come.

I can identify most of the effects being used in these pieces, and can hazard a pretty good guess about the waveforms/envelopes of the synth instruments being used, or if it's a sampler/live recorded instrument. Like the things this Renard guy does: very often very simple stuff, and I mean very, super dumb-dumb simple. But hey, simple done well almost always beats out complex gone awry.

Anyway, here's a project of mine I'm working on. Hopefully there'll be more to come in the future.

This song's been stuck in my head for a while. Here yeh go.

Also, some other bangers for you guys, brought to you by the group DADA LIFE.

Also, it's always good to see new people coming to electronic music. One thing I think many people miss is exactly how varied it can be. Personally my favorite subgenres are House, Electro House, and Drum and Bass/jungle, but I certainly have an appreciation for everything from trance to chillout.

Actually, I'm considering starting my own music blog, just because I find so many tracks I like and like to share.

New post today, no new songs though. Let's do some electronic rock today, with some classics from the Quemists and Pendulum.

I like eletronic music a lot, especially when I play a Wipeout game on Playstation. The series is known having many songs of that style and I am sure that there is at least one song mention on this thread used in the series.

Yeah, Wipeout HD had a fantastic soundtrack. Big names like DJ Fresh and Noisia. Good music.

I just found some dude that wrote some really awesome electronic music... about 40 YEARS ago! Here's my favorite of his songs that I've heard so far.

I've probably heard electronic music before, but I'm not sure if I really even know any. I do know one of my fav bands that could possibly considered would be Devo.

This reminds me, what about the genius works of electronic music legends Kraftwerk? Back in the 70's and 80's they were huge.

Hip-Hop is pretty good, some personal favorites:

Anyways, I have news. I've got 2 DJ gigs coming up next month. Doing a dance for the local middle school and an outdoor gig at the beach. Never actually DJ'd for a crowd before, but I'm really looking forward to it. I've always aspired to be a DJ, and this is my opportunity.

So yeah. Time to dance.
