Sarita
So here's a new one! I drew some stuff. EDIT: Because I don't wanna clog up my topic with random posts too quickly, and I've been scribbling a lot, so have some Sasha. I was scribbling and she said "is that my body you're drawing? It looks like it is, I'mma just pop right in there like so, there!"

Sarita
Oh wow, you are REALLY talented! I honestly wish I could say I draw like that all the time. P: I was in a nearly 3 year rut, and I'm starting to draw again, now.
El Zorro de la Estrella
Hey, if you are that good now, you must have been friggin' Picasso 3 years ago!

Sarita
Boring class stuff! I feel rather pleased with it, and I'm so glad I went with the turquoise background, it really made the painting in to just what I wanted. Bonus: My underpainting. Yeah, there's a lot of layers of paint on that canvas, lol. Also, oil paints are a biotch to get out of anything. Including skin. I have some on me still, even after scrubbing in the shower. ):

Sarita
So, now that you've seen my work in illustration and painting, have some graphic design! Actually, critique on this one would be great, I still haven't turned it in yet. (There IS a version with a handwritten title, I just didn't export it before I left class, so pretend the title is handwritten, lol) BTW, it's a mood board. Something you present to clients to pitch a color scheme. My "clients" were a made up Japanese restaurant.
Sarita
Spoiler'd for size. Reviving my art topic because I spend entirely too much of my life painting, and not enough time showing them off. So you get a photo of my current WIP, that I need to get a more recent photo of, because it has color on it now.
CrypticQuery
Glad to see that this topic is making a comeback; your art is too good to miss out on! :)
Sarita
Once again, spoilered for size, but here's the same painting with some color. You can tell what it is now, if you couldn't before. :P
Steve
At least I won't have to worry about buying paintings for the house :P
Fluxy
That's awesome, Sara! I'm really looking forward to more applications of paint onto it, and seeing what it's like, to a degree, make form with paint!
CrypticQuery
That's absolutely incredible! The bursts of color really do help the painting come to life IMO, not to mention the nice blending in the background.
Sarita
Art topic revive! Â Â I was trying to draw Jenna Coleman... It has a passing resemblance, but not good enough. :T It's pretty though, so I've been sharing it around.
Redeemer
I personally love this! Like, you say it's not good enough but when I saw it I was like "wow". I love vintage things, and this is just fantastic.
Sarita
Thank you babe. c: Now that I've had time to not be looking at it anymore, I like it more than I did. XD But the likeness isn't good enough, which was the whole reason I was drawing it to begin with, I'm trying to work on likenesses. c:
DoctorAllosaurus
Amazing structure, wish I could draw bodies like that.
Sarita
Look in to any nearby colleges and see if they maybe do a life drawing class you could sit in on, it really helps. A technique that I learned in my life drawing class is visualizing where the ribcage and hips are, and how they're facing, it helps with body movement and balance and you're able to accomplish more types of movement. Once I get those two parts placed I can pretty much draw any pose I'd like. It's getting the hips and ribcage down.
sjrathbun812
Very nice. Sure it's not perfect, but it isn't by any circumstances bad. Keep posting!
