If the Galactic Empire from Star Wars went against the Trader Emergency Coalition from SoaSE, Who do you think would win? Here's a rundown of each faction:

///TEC\\\

Desc: They began as a simple race of human traders called the Trade Order. But after contact with the Vasari Empire, war erupted and the TEC was formed. They began marshaling the vast resources of the Trade Order into military production.

Main Weapons: Energy Beam Cannons, Railguns, Autocannons, Pulse Lasers.

Main Strengths: Vast Resources, powerful warships.

Main Weaknesses: Relatively inexperienced in the art of war.

///Galactic Empire\\\

Desc: Originally the Old Republic, the Galactic Empire was formed when Palpatine rose to power. Over the course of several years, they became an industrial and military juggernaut to be feared.

Main Weapons: Laser Pulse Cannons, Ion Cannons, Turbolasers, Proton/Adv. Proton Torpedoes, Concussion/Advanced Concussion Missiles, many other types of weapons.

Main Strengths: Vast military and resources, large diversity of weapons for different situations.

Main Weaknesses: Relies primarily on Brute Force and Strength in Numbers for victory.

Take your pick.

The EMpire would win for the simple reason that the TEC doesnt have as many ships, nor the ability to field massive super ships capeable of wiping out fleets. ANd that the TEc relys on Autocannons while the empire sticks with turbolasers.

THe TEc would put up a good fight, but would be ground down into paste after a brutal war.

EMPIRE WINS

FATALITY

I would have to say Empire. More ships, possibly better weapons, actual combat experience, and the ability to destroy an entire planet in one shot. Of course the majority of their ground forces are awful shots I'm sure some of their units who have survived the clone wars can actually fight.

The Empire were able to take over most planets in the galaxy and hold them under control and they only lost one of these planets when a boy with totally magical powers came along so the Empire would win. The Death Star, huge fleets and Darth Vader...

Yes. What mod are you using for the Empire in Sins? And who are you playing as? and what is the resorce rate and planetary position?

All these things could contribute to a TEC victory

@Q1: I am using Star Wars: Requiem for SINS. The AI will be set to a hard/hardest difficulty. I haven't quite decided who I will play as. Resource rate/planetary position? depends on what map I use. Both sides start with equal resources and planets.

You shouldnt Play as anyside. Playing as one side gives that side the advantage of a human player and the weakness of the human player behind it.

If you wished to be fair, i would be an observer, or a third unafliiated RAce that didnt go anywhere near the other two.

... Vatn wenn. I will keep this at heart. Running Scenario...

OK, I've got the scenario running, but it'll take longer than I thought. Sins doesn't have a "Skirmish" mode like Empire at War. I'll post pics to keep you updated.

Scenario just ended. The fight was VERY close. The Empire had the immediate advantage, but (for reasons I've yet to figure out) the TEC won. Or would have won, had the Vasari not found them and obliterated them.

I watched three different battles between the TEC and the Empire, one of which was over the TEC Home World. In the interests of fairness, I watched the battles that had equal forces on both sides, which included Capital ships, Cruisers and Frigates. In all three battles, the Empire had a good start, but the TEC won. In the end, the Empire's forces were obliterated, and (as I said) had the Vasari not stepped in, the TEC would have wiped the Empire out.

And before you accuse me of "fixing" the match, lemme stop you right there - the AI, resource and planet settings were equal for all sides. No one side had any starting advantage.

Now, to set up the next match...

The Empire of course - they have a lot of ground troops (yeah I know the "stormtrooper effect"), a lot of ships with a huge fire power able to shot precisely at a target via orbital bombardment, they have Darth Vader :D - and of course the Death Star.
