Starfox 64 3DS!

Wow, that's actually pretty cool those same voice-actors kept coming back in Japan: I'm far from 'enlightened' when it comes to how games differ overseas, so all of this is 'foreign' to me (hurr). Too bad voice-continuity wasn't that tight in the English versions of preceding Star Fox games (I'd much rather have a "classy 'and' psycho" Leon than just a "psycho" Leon).

Also: It may be overdue, but R.I.P., Daisuke Gouri.

Ironicly "classy 'and' psycho" Leon ( Although in the Japanese versions he was also Camp.) was changed to "psycho" Leon in japan too, despite having the same voice actor. Blame Namco's writers.

That's my favorite song in 64 3d.

I'm also just starting to play the piano.

Takashi Oohara is most likely Fox.

Atsushi Abe is most likely Falco .

Kei Hayami is most likely Slippy and Katt.

All of these guy's (except Slippy and Katt's VA) are pretty young.

And all of them are represented by Ken Productions.

the music form this game is a remake of starfox assault music, and the music form starfox assault is a remake of starfox 64 music...so the music form this game isnt that new. but i do like the star wolf theme.

It's actually a direct re-arrangement of the soundtrack from SF64, while the one from SFA just uses some themes from it.

@Jo Jo SmoOth

Or you could cut out the middle man and say all of Star Fox 64 3D's tracks are from the original. :P

There is no such thing, I believe. Many people misunderstood the initial reports about the game having two game modes: A 3DS mode, and a 64 mode. These modes have nothing to do with changing actual content or graphics in the game. It simply means there are two ways to play the game and you have an option, either for using the new controls that heavily uses the 3DS gyroscope features, or the old-fashioned controls which everybody is more familiar with: Analog sticks, or in 3DS's case, the Circle Pad.

I really doubt it would even be feasible to include the actual original form of the game inside the new game, as they are both practically the same game! Plus, you can always play the original version on the Virtual Console.

You know what's strange? I'm not sure where I heard this (or if its even true, for that matter), but I think you'll have to play through -- and 100% complete -- the game in 'both' modes to unlock all the possible extras. Likely they did this to increase replay value, but this sorta seems like a cheap ploy.

I always thought of the "3DS Mode"; as more of a novelty than a serious game-mode. I just can't see myself using the gyroscope to get high-scores: vigorously turning the 3DS -- obscuring my vision, plus losing the 3D effect.

However, if this is true, I wonder what the possibilities are for unlockable extras.

(Maybe this post belongs in the rumor-busting thread...)

I found this video on YouTube, part of a 4-piece playthrough. I warn you, though: the quality isn't the best, and the video cuts off just as Andross' brain kills the player. That's a bit strange...

In an unrelated note, Star Fox 64 3D gets the front cover on Nintendo Power this coming month!
