Chapter 1

Fox headed out, alone, from McCloud Ranch.  He piloted his Arwing towards Corneria City, then towards a peaceful suburban development in the western hills, overlooking the west side of Corneria City.  He piloted towards a lone house on the North West end of the cul-de-sac street....He gently landed in the driveway.  He got out of his Arwing, walked up to the front door of the house, and touched his finger to the biometric lock.

It acknowledged his fingerprint, and the front door opened...Fox went inside, and the door closed behind him...He looked around in the foyer, and walked towards the living room on his right....The house resembled a mix between a '40's "Frank Lloyd Wright" architectural style, and a slick, sleek, high tech style.  Fox looked at the stained glass lamps in the living room, now growing darker as the sun set....

He looked into the next room, the dining room, and continued through the living room, past the white sheet covered furniture.  He moved throughout the living room, dining room, the kitchen, the den, the rec room...past the stairs, and the wet bar...

"Stop it!  Todd, Fox, quit horsing around!" James McCloud's voice echoed in Fox's mind, as he looked around the rec room.  Fox was having a mild flashback, as the memories of this place began to flood over him.  "I told you he'd hear us!  Hee Hee!" Fox McCloud's younger cousin Todd said, in his childhood voice, as it echoed through Fox's mind.

"What are you silly boys up to?" down the stairs came the faint, echoing voice of Vixy Reinard, Fox's mother.  "Dad?  Where are you going?  You just got here?" Fox's childhood voice said, as Fox entered the living room again. "Another mission for Team Star Fox, Uncle James?" said the childhood voice of Todd McCloud.  "Boys, leave your father and uncle alone...it's time for bed." came Vixy's voice.

Fox sighed, softly, as the sky outside grew darker.

Fox walked through the rec room, and went up the stairs...he was in the upstairs hallway, there was a master bedroom and bathroom suite, 2 bedrooms with a bathroom in the middle, in a Jack and Jill style, and a study.  The Master suite was in the northwest, and the master suit was on the north and and northeast.  The 2 bedrooms and Jack and Jill bathroom were on the south side, to Fox's right as he stood in the hall, the stairs to his back. 

Fox walked into the study, where he saw his father there, and his little cousin Todd sitting on James' ottoman, as James sat in the chair across from him.  "...and I don't think you should hang around that little tramp, Lola Foxglove.  I know she's cute, and very pretty, and she seems very interested in you....but Todd, a girl like that can bring you nothing but trouble!  It's your life to live, 'live' being the operative word in your case, Todd, but I don't want you to get hurt..." James was talking to Todd, and Fox saw his younger self quietly eavesdropping outside the study door.  When Fox blinked, they were all gone, and the place was quiet.

He went through the upstairs rooms, on the east side of the house, in his bedroom, he saw his mother reading his childhood self a bedtime story, in the other bedroom, on the west side of the house, he saw little Todd McCloud, crying softly, as Vixy was bandaging Todd's wounds, and James was on the phone..."No, you listen to me, CASEY, I don't care if you DID get paroled, you and Mel are NOT to come anywhere near Todd!  You both really hurt him this time.  He's lucky he didn't need stitches!  NO I WILL NOT LET YOU TALK TO HIM!  I'll beat you up worse than your wife did if you come near Todd or this house.  Todd's injuries are collateral damage from your fighting with your wife.  You and Mel are so damn selfish...no, the courts won't...not in these circumstances...protective custody...temporary restraining order...same to you, jackass!" James hung up the phone and sighed.

Vixy comforted Todd, as younger Fox stood in the room with them.  Vixy kissed Todd goodnight, and after he went to bed, little Fox disappeared through the door into the bathroom, taking a shortcut back to his room, and James and Vixy went back to their room.  Fox headed out of his house, and locked up the place, then, after taking one last look around, he flew in his Arwing back to McCloud Ranch.

When he arrived back at McCloud Ranch, a gentrified, former CDF air base, now converted into a residence.  He went to the war room, and went over the briefing for the next Star Fox Mission. 

GREETINGS, STAR FOX TEAM!  YOUR NEXT ASSIGNMENT, IS TO RECOVER A RARE INVENTION BY DR. ANDROSS, HIDDEN AWAY SOMEWHERE ON PLANET VENOM.  YOU MUST FIND THE INVENTION AND ALL INFORMATION, BLUEPRINTS, AND OTHER INFORMATION, DIGITAL AND HARD! DETAILS AS TO WHAT THE INVENTION IS AND WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE, AS WELL AS ITS POSSIBLE LOCATION, ARE IN THE FOLLOWING SECTIONS IN THIS DOSSIER BRIEFING!  BE CAREFUL, TEAM STAR FOX...TEAM STAR WOLF IS ALSO AFTER THIS INVENTION, AND THEY MAY ATTEMPT TO STEAL THIS INVENTION AND SELL IT ON THE INTERGALACTIC BLACK MARKET, OR USE IT FOR THEIR OWN CRIMINAL DEEDS!  BE CAREFUL, AND GOOD LUCK, STAR FOX!

Fox decided to call the team to come to a pre-mission meeting.

Chapter 2

The calls went out.

Todd and Lola were having dessert at McCloud Hall, a luxury mansion just outside the western limits of Corneria City.  The mansion was on a secure, solid, beach side peninsula bluff.  It had once belonged to a powerful, rich mobster, until Todd and Lola had killed him and seized it, along with control over his protection ring and other shady operations.

As Todd and Lola finished feeding each other fork fulls  from a slice of triple chocolate cake loaded with chocolate chips on each of their plates, the call on their communicators sounded.  Todd and Lola ignored it at first, but Fox said "Todd, Lola, I know you're both there, ANSWER ME!".  Todd rolled his eyes, and walked over to the buffet table in the dining room, and picked up his and Lola's communicators. 

He handed Lola her communicator, and answered his communicator.  "Hey, cousin...how's it going?" asked Todd.  Fox's irritated facial expression was seen on the screen.  "You and Lola get over to McCloud Ranch.  Pack only your essentials, and don't bother bringing your ships.  We're just using the Arwings for this new mission. Hurry up." said Fox.  "We got a new mission!? What's it about!?" asked Todd excitedly.  "Get over here with Lola and I'll tell you." Fox smirked as he said this, then signed out.

Akasha, a smoke Persian [runt] cat, and her husband, Kylie Buranetto, a Cerinian blue fox, and Krystal's brother, were at Akasha's house on Katina.  Akasha lived in a VERY nice, California Prairie-Style home, in an affluent area of Katina City, the house belonged to her parents, particularly her father, the late mayor of Katina City, who, along with his wife, were killed in an assassination attempt, which had been disguised as a limousine accident.  They were watching TV in the downstairs den when their communicators sounded an incoming transmission.  Kylie turned off the TV, as Akasha answered the call.  "Hi, Fox." she said.

"Hello Akasha, Kylie, General Pepper has a new mission for us!  You and Kylie pack your essentials, and get your Aritech fighters to McCloud Ranch.  We're going to only use the Great Fox, as well as the Arwings, and in yours, Krystal's, and Tigress' case, the Aritech fighters for this mission.  I'll fill you all in on the details when everyone arrives here.  Okay?  Fox, out!".  Fox signed off.

Edge O' Donnell, a wolf, was shooting pool at a bar on Zoness.  He had just sunk the last shot, the 8-Ball, into the corner pocket. "Hey, double or nothing says you can't sink the cue ball into a side pocket, blindfolded!" said Edge's rival, a badger.  "You're on!"  Edge tied a clean bartender's rag around his eyes, and then made the shot.  The cue ball rolled into a side pocket.  The badger swore as the bar patrons cheered.  The badger paid Edge double the money.  "Hey, in the spirit of sportsmanship, since I won double, I'm buying everyone in here a round a beer with the extra, extra money I won.  I'm buying you a beer, especially." Edge said to his rival, and that cheered him up.

After Edge did this, as he finished his beer, his communicator went off.  Edge stepped outside in front of the bar, away from the noise.  "Hi, Fox...lemme guess...new mission?" he asked. "Yep." Fox replied.  "Get only the basics?" asked Edge.  "Yep." said Fox.  "Report to McCloud Ranch?" asked Edge.  "You got it." Fox smiled, and signed off.  Edge hopped into his Wolfen 2, and flew it towards his home, to get packed...he would then see if any other team members who were with him on Zoness were going to be on this mission, so he could just ride with them to McCloud Ranch on Corneria.

Detective Tina "Babs" Conijn, known by most as "Babs", was in her detective agency, in downtown Corneria City.  She was mulling over the facts for a new case, when Fox called her.  "...that sounds awesome, Fox, but I can't do it.  I have a case assignment going on here I've already accepted.  Sorry, I can't come." she explained to Fox.  "That's too bad, but I understand..." said Fox.  "Thanks Fox...oh, by the way, is Edge going to be there for this mission?" asked Babs.  "Yes he is." said Fox.  "Damn!" Babs snorted in anger, being a French Lop rabbit, they were known to snort when angered or scared.  "Could you please tell him I said 'Hi', and that I love him?" asked Babs.  "Will do...good luck on your case, gumshoe." Fox winked at Babs.  "Good luck on your mission, fly boy..." Babs replied.  They were both only kidding each other, Fox was anything but a fly boy, and Babs was anything but a gumshoe.  Fox signed off, and Babs got back to work.

Madame Vulpine, a red vixen who was half Cornerian, and half Cerinian, was at her large Theater and Cafe, a former Opera House, on Planet Zoness.  She was directing a theater production, at her venue, as rehearsals and set building were all underway.  Misty Bluehour, a silver vixen, was there on the stage, wearing her leotards, tights, leg warmers, shrug, and dancing shoes.  She was stretching her legs, and muscles with some of the other performers, as the stage crew rose and dropped the stage curtains, testing them to make sure they worked properly, and the lighting and sound crew tested their equipment.

The orchestra down in the orchestral pit below the stage, practiced their instruments...

"I'm sorry, Fox, but I cannot attend this mission.  I have a theater production to direct.  Misty, however, is an understudy, but she can help you.  I'll tell her..." Madame Vulpine said to Fox, when Misty cut in on her communicator.  "I'll be there.  I assume Edge will, too.  I'll give him a ride in my vessel, but I'll park my vessel at the Ranch, hon." said Misty.  Madame Vulpine smiled, and then said "I'll have a difficult time replacing her, but I'll manage.  By the way, I regret to inform you that Conrad Morgenthal, and Silas Wormwood cannot help you, either.

Conrad is on maneuvers with the Cornerian Intelligence Agency, and he and the agency need Silas' technical expertise for a mission." said Madame Vulpine.  "Oh...that's too bad, we really could've used them.  And you...and Babs.  But thanks for letting us borrow Misty." said Fox.  "No problem.  Break a leg, darling." said Madame Vulpine.  "Thanks.  And Misty, thank you for giving up your position for understudy to help us, it means a lot to me." said Fox.  "You're welcome, hon." said Misty.  Fox signed off.

Pal Whetherwax, a collie, and Fay Spaniel, a poodle, were at Pal's mansion, which he had inherited from his rich, old Uncle Niles.  Pal had grown up in a rich family, but they were abusive to him, and Pal had spent his childhood repeatedly running away to his Uncle's mansion.  At first, it was just for the weekend.  But as Pal grew older, and his siblings and parents were meaner to him, he ended up living there on a more permanent basis.  He helped take care of his Uncle Niles, and Pal was the only family member who even visited Uncle Niles. 

As a result, Uncle Niles was so grateful, he left Pal his mansion, and all the riches he had hidden in it, as he distrusted the banks in his old age.  Uncle Niles fired his domestic staff, and refused to hire any new staff, out of fear they would steal from him.  So Pal moving in with him was a mutual good fortune, Pal took care of the mansion and his Uncle, and in return got a safe haven from his abusive family, and inherited a fortune.

Pal had been cheated out of the main family inheritance by his family, but he, Silas, Akasha, Fay, and Krystal managed to steal his share of the inheritance back. His mansion was just like Luigi's Mansion, except the 2 bedrooms in the wing off the left of the upstairs parlor had a Jack and Jill bathroom between them, the Master bedroom had its own bathroom where the study would have been, the study was where the wardrobe room (this one in Pal's mansion featured an extra back door to lead to the rest of the 2nd floor hallways) would have been, and the wardrobe room was where the antechamber would have been.  Also, the "secret altar" room was a wine cellar, it still had the lion face fountains and stuff like that.  The "Hidden Room" was an extra bathroom, the "Sealed Room" was still a parlor, but not sealed up [anymore], the "Sitting Room" was a guest room, and the "Guest Room" was a bathroom for the guest room.

Pal and Fay were in the front parlor.  Pal walked out of the Wardrobe Room, wearing a silver thong leotard, woman's sized combat boots that fit him well, and a narrow gray service cap.  He looked like Cammy from the Street Fighter series.  "You look...horrifying!" Fay said, slapping her palm to her forehead.    Pal was always very feminine looking, as well as very effeminate.  His Uncle Niles, in his old age senility, saw this, and mistook Pal for a girl, and had raised him as a girl throughout his childhood, which is partly why he cross dressed a lot.

"I think this is a great outfit!" said Pal.  "You have to admit, I have the right kind of body for it." he added.  Unfortunately, this was true.  Pal was very fit and slender, with a delicate build.  "Yeah...but..." Fay said, when she was interrupted by Fox's transmission.  After Fox told them the details, Fay and Pal nodded.  "We'll be there, Fox." said Fay.  After Fox signed out, Fay looked at Pal and said "Better get changed, hon." to him.  "Nonsense, you look great!" teased Pal.

Katt Monroe and Falco Lombardi were getting out of the pool at McCloud Hall.  Katt wore a silver one piece swimsuit, and Falco wore navy blue banana hammock speedos.  They were drying off, and heading out of the pool area, when Lola met up with them, and told them about Fox's call.  "Okay, we'll get dressed, and head over there." said Falco.  "Nice..." Lola said, looking at Falco's speedos.  Falco smiled, and looked away, blushing under his feathers.

Fara Phoenix was partying and dancing at a club, but took the call in the bathroom, she spoke with Fox, and then headed out of the club afterward.  At McCloud Ranch, Slippy, Miyu, and Tigress, who were working in the hangar on some ships at McCloud Ranch, also got Fox's call, and put their tools away and got ready.  Krystal, who was meditating, got a telepathic message from Kylie about Fox's call to arms.  She agreed to come, and ended her meditation session, and headed out of the den, towards the war room.

Chapter 3

The team members available for this mission began to arrive.  First came Tigress, Slippy, Miyu and Krystal.  Then Todd and Lola.  Then Fara, Katt, and Falco.  Next came Akasha and Kylie. As they waited for Misty, Fay, Pal, and Edge to arrive, Todd and Lola had gotten into mischief...Akasha came into the war room, where Krystal and Fox were sitting.  "Hey, Krystal, Fox!  Todd and Lola are messing around in the rec room.  Lola got a hold of some of Krystal's clothes." Akasha tattled.  "WHAAAAT!?  Not again!  Thanks, Akasha." said Krystal, as she and Fox bolted up from their seats and ran towards the rec room.

"Yeah! Shake it, baby, shake it!" Todd said, as Lola danced on top of the table for Todd.  Lola was wearing Krystal's Sauria outfit, complete with the sandals, shoulder pads, gold jewelry, brown tribal bra, and white loincloth skirt.  Lola did a "pole dance", using Krystal's staff (which she had placed with the bottom part in a hole in the center of the table,), and then she gave Todd a "lap dance", as Todd sat in a chair and put Cornerian Credit "dollar bills" down her loincloth skirt.  The two of them laughed and giggled as they did this.

"TODD!  LOLA!  BOTH OF YOU STOP IT!" shouted Fox, as he and Krystal stood in the doorway, looking livid.  "LOLA!  Get out of my clothes, and relinquish my staff at once!" shouted Krystal, snatching her staff back from Lola.

"Hi, Krystal, Fox..." Lola said, completely unashamed about what she and Todd were doing. "Hey cuz, hey Krystal..." said Todd.  "Lola, go change out of Krysta;'s clothes and get back here...Todd, in my study at once!  You too, Lola, after you give back Krystal's stuff." Fox said through gritted teeth.

After Lola had changed back into her black fishnet stockings, black leg garter, black leotards, crimson overbust corset with straps, and her black side zip boots, and after Krystal had put her staff safely away where Lola and Todd couldn't get to it, and put her Sauria outfit back on its hangar in her closet, she took Lola to Fox's office, where he was already chewing out Todd.

"...the two of you have NO shame, NO respect for other cultures, and NO respect for private property!!!  What the hell is wrong with you!?  Either of you!?  Don't you realize....!?" Todd saw Krystal and Lola, and said "Oh, good, you're here." to Krystal, and he turned to Lola.  "SIT DOWN!!!" Fox growled at Lola.  Lola sat, sideways in Todd's lap, as he held her gently.  "Proceed..." she said nonchalantly. 

Krystal then lit into Lola, and Todd.  Fox joined in.  They yelled at Todd and Lola, about their lack of respect for others, private property, other cultures, themselves, their fellow teammates, the Star Fox Team....overall misbehavior.  By the time they got through with Todd and Lola, it was clear Todd and Lola were unfazed by the whole thing, as they were used to being chewed out before, not just by Fox, or Krystal, or even Tigress...Their teachers, parole officers, the police, their family members, had all yelled at them before.  Todd and Lola knew by now, having learned long ago, that the two of them were disrespectful, antisocial jerks with no sense of responsibility.

Lola yawned.  "You two done yet?" she asked, genuinely bored.

Fox grew hot faced and shouted "SHUT UP!  You two had better give me a good reason not to kick you off this assignment!" he shouted.  "You need every available team member on call, it's too important a mission to exclude us." Todd said, as a lucky guess.  It would be punishment to drag us along, or at least drag me along! though Lola.  Unfortunately for her, Krystal had read her thoughts at that moment. "Right you are, Lola, that's why were definitely dragging you along!" said Krystal.  "And we leave Todd behind, to think about what you two did." said Fox.

"You don't scare me!"  Todd smirked.  "But I know I do!" Tigress came into the room, Kylie was there, too, fuming over what Lola and Todd had done, having heard from Akasha what had happened.  Todd swallowed hard in fear, but tried not to look scared.  He wasn't fooling anyone.  Lola was the actress, she could convincingly look nonplussed, but with 3 telepathic psychics in the room, it did her no good.

"I'm sorry Krystal." said Todd.  "Me too." said Lola.  "Apology accepted." said Krystal.  Tigress, decided not to beat the two of them.  "Okay...if Krystal forgives you, so will I...but no more of this, okay?" Fox warned them.  "Todd and Lola agreed.  They all went to the war room.  Finally, Edge, Misty, Fara, Fay, and Pal arrived.  They all gathered around the war room table, Pal was back in his regular outfit, Black Pilot Boots, urban black and white camouflage pants, gray tank top, red neckerchief bandanna.

Fox briefed the team...

"We're going on a dangerous, potentially deadly mission!  We'll be going to Planet Venom, to Andross' Palace, to find and take his rarest and biggest invention:  The Teleportation Core.  The very same that allowed the Gorgas satellite to disappear, and then reappear.  The same invention he had selfishly and feverishly obsessed upon, and work on for years, endangering the Lylat System, and his own health, and the health and safety of others.  I myself have seen the nasty side effects of this invention, and what it can do, having battled Andross himself, against his brain, after it grew to monstrous proportions, and kept teleporting and attacking me from behind when I fought with it in the core of Planet Venom!"

Akasha let out a frightened squeak, having remembered interning under Dr. Andross, remembering how he obsessed over his invention, how it changed him, and the innocent lives destroyed by it.  She was glad Silas wasn't going to be on this mission, this sort of thing would be really hard for him to bear.  Akasha remembered that Silas had a love interest, a female red vixen and fellow intern, who along with so many others had died from a result of a disaster resulting from one of the failed experiment attempts on perfecting the Teleportation Core.

As Kylie petted Akasha comfortingly, Fox swallowed hard, thinking the same thing as Akasha.  He felt guilty enough subjecting Akasha to this, but if anyone knew what exactly to look for, and maybe even how to use the Teleportation Core, it would be Silas and Akasha.  "This is a new Teleportation Core we're looking for. It's just like the others, EXCEPT..." Fox paused, and when he had everybodys full attention he then said "THIS Teleportation Core WORKS, without ANY of the harmful side effects!  Andross never got to really use it, but some of his captured and incarcerated scientists let it slip about it, and how they had tested it in action on Venom, just before Star Fox had defeated Andross and won the Lylat Wars.  We need to recover it, and get it safely to the CDF and Beltino Toad, before Star Wolf gets it.  Rumor has it, they found out about it and they'll stop at nothing to find it.  We have to go tonight!  Everyone ready?" he said.  Everyone nodded.  "Good!  Now I know many of you noticed that some members of the team aren't here, but only because they can't make it.  Also, we're all going to use Arwings, instead of our personal ships, although Tigress, Krystal, Akasha, and Kylie will use their Cerinian Aritech fighters, and we'll only use the Great Fox." 

Everyone groaned.  "Why can't we use the Galatae!?" Tigress groaned.  Krystal, Akasha, and Kylie felt the same way Tigress did about taking the Great Fox instead of the Galatae.  " Because we need to keep a low profile around and on Venom, and we'll need to travel light!" Fox explained.  Tigress sighed, and rolled her eyes, but grudgingly accepted Fox's decision, as did Krystal, Akasha, and Kylie.  "Good!  We're leaving for Venom in two hours.  Let's get ready to go!" said Fox.

Everyone did just that, and in two hours, they were all packed and ready to go, heading towards Venom in the Great Fox.

Thanks guys...I did some slight alteration to Akasha's "tattling", but I'm proud of it.  I been too busy this weekend to come up with more, sorry.  But I'll try soon to get more done.

Chapter 3

The journey took quite a long time, seeing as how far away venom was located from Corneria.  The team did what they could to pass the time.  Todd and Lola decided to play a prank on Akasha and they each donned masks that looked like this:

and they chased Akasha around the ship, making scary laughter as they did this.  "Akasha! Akasha!  I wuv you! I wuv you!" they said in scary voices, as they chased her.  "STOP IT!" Akasha shrieked.  Todd and Lola had Akasha cornered now.  *HIIIIISSSS!* Akasha hissed and growled at Todd and Lola.  Tigress came up from behind them, accompanied by Fox and Kylie.  "That's enough!" Tigress said, snatching Todd's and Lola's masks.  "If you two are bored, I'll find something for you to do!" Fox said.  "Stop terrorizing my cat!" Kylie added.  "Sorry, Akasha." Todd and Lola said to Akasha.  Akasha hissed at them, and ran off, hiding in the closet in hers and Kylie's room.  Kylie went to comfort her, and Tigress smashed the masks to pieces.  Fox walked back to the Bridge, and Todd and Lola went back to their room...

Fara was napping, and she had a dream, to her past...she had met with Fox in a nice, warm, sunny field on Corneria that summer.  She had fully recovered from that horrible crash that had left her paralyzed.  She thought that she would never walk again.  Fox blamed himself and had felt guilty about exposing her to that danger.  But after the Lylat Wars, and the Sauria Conflict...even after the Aparoid Wars...after years of trying, she willed herself to walk again, and had made a miraculous recovery.  She had heard of the Star Fox Team's exploits, and even about Krystal.  But she still wanted to see Fox.

When he had arrived, she had gotten out f her Arwing, and greeted him.  He looked shocked, and she hugged him.  "Fara!?  But...how?  You're...walking!?  It's a miracle!" he said.  "I know!  I willed myself to walk again.  Even after everyone had told me to give up...everyone but you...when we had last met, I was still in a wheelchair....I had forgiven you for what had happened.  Everyone had forgiven you, except for yourself.  When you forgave me, I forgave myself...in time" said Fox.  "I know....now you have nothing to feel guilty over, Fox!" said Fara. 

"I'm glad you're recovered...." said Fox, looking relieved, but weary, and guilty..."What's wrong, Fox?" asked Fara.  Fox decided to be honest.  "Uh..Fara?  I'm sorry to say this, but...regarding our...'relationship'..." he struggled to find the words.  "It's okay, Fox, I know about you, and Krystal!  I want you to be happy." she said.  "Well...good....thanks!" said Fox.  "You're welcome!" said Fara.  "I'll see you around, sometime...and thank you, for visiting me and taking me places all those times after the Lylat wars, the Sauria Conflict, and even the Aparoid wars.  Thank you for believing in me, and telling me never to give up!" she added, giving Fox one last hug.

"You're welcome." Fox said, stunned.  "If Krystal ever breaks your heart, I'll be there to pick up the pieces...I'll always have a place in my heart for you." said Fara.  Fara's eyes watered as she said this, as did Fox's.  "Thank you." Fox said.  As Fara walked back to her Arwing, Fox said "WAIT!  Fara!" Fara turned around.  "There's always a place for you in my heart, as well.  There's also a place for you in Star Fox!  If you ever want to come back to me, to us..." Fox said.  "I'll come back...someday..." said Fara.

Fara woke up, with tears in her eyes, yet she was smiling.

As they neared Planet Venom, the team got ready to go.  Pal came out of his and Fay's room, next to Fara's room, and he and Fara were wearing the same outfit:

Fara stared in shock and horror at Pal, the male collie, wearing the same clothes as her.  "Oh, boy, this is awkward, one of us is gonna have to change." Pal said.  He and Fara stared at each other for five minutes, Fara stared daggers at Pal, and he got the message.  "Really?" he asked her.  Fara pointed back into Pal's room.  Fay, who stood there, rolled her eyes.  "Fine." Pal said.  He went into his room, and as Fara and Fay chatted in the hallway, Pal came out of his room, wearing his "Cammy from Super Street Fighter" outfit.

Fara screamed and covered her eyes.  Fay liked horrified and said "Pal!  I told you not to bring that outfit!" she said.  "You didn't specify for what mission!" said Pal, exploiting a loophole in Fay's orders.  "You should've known what she meant...oh, wait, you did, you're just purposely 'obeying the letter of the law, if not the spirit'..." Fara said, knowing this having done it herself many times.  "ATTENTION ALL STAR FOX TEAM MEMBERS! REPORT TO THE BRIDGE AT ONCE.  WE ARE IN VENOM'S ORBIT NOW!" ROB's voice announced over the PA system.

Awwwwwe, that is so sweet. But Fara, Fox is with Krystal, so back off! lol. I am more of a Fox+Krystal fan, But I am really liking all the character developing scenes, especially the one with Pal, But Todd and Lola are fun as well. Great stuff, and keep it up! (please and thank you of course, lol)

Chapter 4

Team Star Wolf made their way from their new hideout, somewhere on Planet Papetoon.  They had a new edge in their mercenary works.  Having lost their Sargasso Station, they worked to save up and create a new mother ship of their own: 

The Great Wolf.

A large, bulky, angular vessel, a Star Cruiser.  It was purple, with black and reddish-orange trim.  It looked like it had 3 "shark fins" on the top, each with a vertical row of 3 glowing lights.  There were large, triangular wings on the sides, and two enormous burners on the stern.  There were 10 missile silos on the top, with some sort of white vapors emanating from them...

Wolf stood on the multi dark colored bridge.  Joining him were Leon Powalski, a failed actor and performer, and a contract killer, turned mercenary space pilot.  Panther Caroso also joined up, Panther was raised in luxury, and high social status, his father was a very influential man, very wealthy too.  Panther didn't want his father's life.  When everything that was set before him slowly fell apart, especially when his family's wealth was quickly diminishing and his fiancee disgraced him by standing him up at their wedding, Panther used that and many other reasons as excuses to abandon his posh lifestyle, and became a rogue space mercenary and pirate.

Star Wolf still had many Ruffians, not all of them were monkeys or apes.  Some were lizards, or other form of reptilians.  Others were birds.  But Wolf only trusted his top pilots, Leon, his longtime best friend, and Panther, who proved to be reliable, unselfish, competent, and more loyal than Pigma ever was, and not an annoying, whiny, stupid useless blowhard like Andrew, who couldn't fly or fight, and had NO other useful abilities or good qualities.

"What's the news, boss?" asked Leon, twirling a stiletto switchblade knife around in his fingers.  "We're going to Planet Venom, Dr. Andross has a completed, safe, fully operational "Teleportation Device" unlike any other.  It will allow whoever actually has it to teleport, to phase in and out of reality, without ANY of the harmful side effects..."  said Panther in his usual, laid back voice.  Wolf turned around and glared at him.  "Thank you, Panther, you're such a well-informed leader!  Oh, wait, that's right, you're not the leader here..." Wolf snarled sarcastically.

"That doesn't mean I'm still not well-informed..." Panther said calmly, leaning back in his seat.  "Don't lip off to me, got it!" Wolf said, getting up in Panther's face, and poking a laser pistol to Panther's torso.  Panther nodded calmly, showing no fear.  Wolf smiled, holstered his laser pistol, and said to his two wing men "That's what I like about both of you, You're not afraid to ask questions, or to speak your minds, and you react calmly in the face of death.  You're NOT COWARDS, which  I like the best.  That's why you're the top members of Star Wolf.  I trust you, and respect you enough to put you in key lieutenant positions.  If anything were to happen to me, I know you two can carry on where I left off.  That, my friends, is the way to beat death.  Immortality.  Legacy." Wolf smiled at his mini edict.  He was hoping to inspire his men, and it did.  Panther rose from his chair, and stood up straight, smiling.  Leon stood straight up as well, and put away his knife.  Though they did not salute, they held the respectful postures of soldiers at attention.

"We're ready to take on anything and anyone on Venom..." Leon said with relish in his tone of voice.  "We'll kick ass, and take names..." Panther said with delighted anticipation.  Wolf smiled.  "Great...that's what I like to hear...now, as we're nearing Venom, allow me to brief you on the details....oh, by the way, Star Fox is heading towards Venom as well, those fools want that invention of Andross'....probably going to turn it over to those Federation-fuddy-duddies...anyways, we're not gonna let that happen, obviously, and we'll need to...." Wolf briefed his wing men in secret, locking the door to the bridge, and setting the "In Session" display on the screen next to the door controls.

When he finished, they were approaching the dark side of Planet Venom.  Wolf unlocked the bridge door, and turned off the "In Session" display on the screen next to the door, and a Ruffian came into the bridge immediately and saluted Wolf.  "What?" Wolf asked him.  "Sir!  Reports from radar monitors indicated the Great Fox in orbit, on the other side of Venom." he said.  "It begins..." Wolf said, a sinister smile spreading across his face.
