Furrys will be Furrys, Yiffs will be Yiffs, Haters will be forced on their knees and shot in the head point blank... ... ... ... Dude...

"Love our porn for a kid's game or ELSE!"

Despite reservations that a Star Fox MMO would become a furry yiffapalooza, it WOULD be a Nintendo game and I'm just gonna hazard a guess that having explicit RP sex in said game will likely be against a rule somewhere.

  • 3 weeks later...

Just a question... and sorry if this is a dumb question, but if a Starfox MMORPG was created (and lol I thought it was in the works after seeing this site. Fail me...) it would most likely be ONLY for Wii right? I've actually never been online with any console before (though I'm probably not missing anything) so I wouldn't know if there even was an MMORPG for Wii or some other console xP

lol I've got millions of ideas toward this if it were actually happening and even if I have only played SF64 on an N64 emulator (and Starfox on an SNES emulator more recently).

I have refined my ideas, and while a MMORPG is probobly a bad idea anything can be done succesfully just i am not sure weather to trust nientendo any more

Perhaps Nintendo can ask another company that is already in the MMORPG/virtual world business to do the project for them. Though that would probably be a very unrealistic wish/idea lol

I know some guys in Nintendo, you want me to submit the idea?

Sure, why not. I'm up for seeing it happen. As long as they have open ears for user input it shouldn't be too bad. I know that is definitely one thing that helps to drive MMORPGs is the userbase.

Ya see my family used to have a buissness (went Bankrupt) making Dairy Farms and my Uncle went to Asia seeing if parts of Kyoto, Japan wanted to buy. My uncle knows I liked Games so he told me about some people.

He also went to Großostheim, Germany.

Dude...that's still so far removed that you probably don't exactly have any sway over them :/ I know guys that've worked for Capcom and Ubisoft but that doesn't mean I can influence the companies through them.

Besides, Nintendo doesn't seem in on the whole MMORPG idea to begin with and don't think they can be convinced. They're quite internalized.

Well...I do know. Because I know these guys personally.

Sorry, it's just that the MY FRIEND AT NINTENDO... thing shows up everywhere and never amounts to anything. Have you actually personally met these people, and do they have anything close to a decent position?

hey dras! the exocutioner has a point the was no harm done in submiting an idea.

Don't you think that Nintendo gets hundreds of emails and letters about ideas for "revolutionary games" submitted by 13-year-olds enough? That being said, just because you know someone from Nintendo doesn't mean they'll make anything just for you. My aunt knows someone from a band that's getting really big really fast. Does that mean I can have them play a song that I wrote. Probably not. Don't get your head up in the clouds because reality can easily knock you back on your ass.

but hey if i emailed then are they gonna come to my house and shoot me? while theirs little chance in succes their is no loss in a deafeat here. or in other words  we certainly might not gain anything but we could never loose anything

No but if you e-mailed them at best you'll get a form letter saying "thanks for your interest blahblahblah" and no one of any actual status will ever see your request. It's a waste of time and when the "friend at Nintendo" fails to come through, you don't want to look like an asshole for making promises. No, no one's going to "get shot" for suggesting a Star Fox MMO and sending a request is never what I had an issue with, it's the skepticism that he knows someone at Nintendo powerful enough to get anything done.

And I say that because there is not a single forum I've been to where someone hasn't started going on about their "friend at Nintendo" and it's getting a little rediculous.

If you do want to approach a company like Nintendo, you have to know how to do it, and simply annoying them with e-mails they get many of DAILY is not the way to pitch your ideas. It isn't harmful, but it IS futile.

Anyways, this isn't about who you do and don't know in the gaming industry, it's about what you'd want to see in a Star Fox MMO. How do you suppose the class system would work?

WAIT WHAT!?!?! SHOOT ME? Are you that delusional? Nintendo's not gonna make a game for anyone's fanfiction here. Let's just get that out of the way. If I ran Nintendo, I certainly wouldn't accept anything from a 13-year-old when it comes to the next, big games. I'm just saying "Don't get your hopes up and BAWWWW if they say NO."

Stop being a prick. Dude, I've been through this countless times. The Star Fox fanbase isn't overwhelmingly large. People have tried petitions, sent all the letters they wanted. Do you see a brand new game? No. Now stop turning this into a pissing contest and get to the topic before, what was actually a semi-good topic of discussion, blathers off into the same shit-slathered corner that half these topics wind up in.

STAR FOX: THE MMO

So in a large game encompassing Lylat where you get to pick your destiny, how do you suppose the game will work? Character creation is a no-brainer. I suppose you'd be able to pick a faction like the Cornerian Army, Venomian Army, or a straight-up Mercenary. Lylat's a huge universe that would be interesting to explore, and I'd expect nothing more than an expansive and beautiful world to be able to explore.

What would dictate your character stats, though? Do you think there'd be classes like soldier/assassin/ace pilot/etc.? I wouldn't want powers like LOL TELEPATHY or whatever, that's a bit too mary-sue.

I don't know how clans and the like would work, I don't do much online console gaming, it seems like a pretty PC-dominated thing and unfortunately a Star Fox MMO on PC seems like a distinct impossibility, simply because Nintendo games stick to the Nintendo consoles...

The Mob does have a voice, be it loud, incoherent blabbering. I'd rather listen to a man/woman in his/her mid-20s that really wants to make a living creating video games, who has received positive feedback and has met certian credentials and understands the canonity of the said franchise, not a mob of children who spend their days writing subpar fanfiction because a certain game didn't meet their expectations.

ia m not trying to be offense in any way and i am sorry for seeming so.

but the exocutioner wanted to send a letter to neintendo i simply told him there was no harm in doing so. even though it won't get any where it won't do any harm

and zm i agree, but be it as it may the exocutioner sent a letter, we'd be better friends by not discoruaging him

It's a lot more harmful to someone to tell them "OH YOU CAN DO IT YOU CAN GET THAT GAME MADE YOU JUST HAVE TO *BELIEVE* (oh man that's not going to work at all poor guy)" than simply having a realistic discussion on how a company functions. Hell, if I ever got the opportunity to write a Star Fox game I'd be elated, but I know that's not going to happen by simply walking up to Nintendo and being all O HAI NINTENDO CAN I MAEK STARFAC NAO.

Anyway. CAN WE TALK ABOUT THE MMO NOW PLEASE?

What would the stats do? Why? What would the focus of the MMO be, anyway?

Actually, I think I have an idea of how it could work. Any of you in here play Valkarie Sky? It was a bullet hell MMO where you can team up with other players and tackle courses. What if SFMMO did something like that? It'd play like a standard StarFox game, but with multiple players in teams of four. Maybe there could be alternate routes through each level to have players split up, and bossfights could be handled normally or by having the players attack from different angles that the boss would alternate aiming between, if that makes sense.

Maybe the RPG part could come from strengthening your ship by buying or making parts and equipment for the ground portions rather than an EXP bar?
