"Not sure about trapping us upstairs, at least the windows have those decorative iron bars, that'll buy is some time. Keep piling stuff on the door, Doc." He said as he was smashing hands that went through the holes in the windows.

Kage, Tera and Chayrlin scrammed out. That'll buy the jaguar some time and they'll function as distraction/killers for the time being. His priority was prepping the place rather than concerning for the rest. The family and the doctor had the same one, it seemed

Star held the crying child in her hands and walked upstairs with the bag of supplied. Leon gave one more glare at Lennox before following his wife. He was sick and tired of lennox being a general cunt and insulting him.

Chayrlin pushed open the door of a house at least 4 or 5 doors down from the house the main group was fortifying. Pushing open the door with her Macuahuitl, she closes the door and slams the deadbolt into the slot, locking the door and turning in a huff as fast as she can.

The groans of an entire zombie family meets her vision.

"What the hell are you doing out here then?" Kage asked, lowering his spear.  "You can't stay out here you know.  We're clearing out a house right now, come with me."

What the hell was she doing out there? The same thing he was doing, as far as she was concerned: trying to survive the apocalypse. But she didn't have time to offer any retorts. With a brisk nod, she quickly got to her feet and grabbed her duffel bag, throwing it over her neck again. "Ready."

Tera ran over to the car, bashing a zombie with her rifle before turning to Kage. "What are you..." She stopped when she saw a young vixen sitting there. "Oh crap. Grab her and lets go."

Ryan pulled his handgun from his holster, checked the magazine and cocked it. He wasnt sure if the furniture would hold but he wanted to be ready.

Kage nodded and looked to the vixen, "Let's go then, name's Kage" He said as he started, making sure she was behind him.

The door was almost completely barricated. Lennox noted a flow of zombies plain passing the house and running straightly on the street. After various blows, his makeshift weapon broke.

"They better step it up." he said as he rumanged the place for something new to use.

Scott finished what he had in the room and looked to Ryan "We got to mo..." It occurred to him. "What happened to the rest of them?" He had not noticed Kage, Chayrlin and Tera on where they went off to. He wiped his forehead to his chin. "Shit. Where did they go?" He broke his thought to grab Ryan and helped him up the stairs. Bringing along him a heavy piece of metal and began smashing some of the steps to create holes in the flooring.

"So the doctor wants to screw me over"

"Shit... FUCKING WAIT for me!"  he saw as Scott was tearing open the stairs. He jumped through the unbroken steps and went up quickly.

The Lupine father, a red fox morph with a broken arm hanging limply at his side, fell to the ground as the bits and bobs embedded in the wood tore it's spinal connection with the rest of its body. Dragging the Macuahuitl out of the corpse, Chayrlin braces her feet on the ground and golf swings at the first child, the wooden weapon making an obnoxiously loud crack as it sends the child moaning through the air. Her way to the stairs cleared, Chayrlin smashes the Macuahuitl into the Supine Mother, knocking it back as she moves past.

Failing an acrobatics check, however, and the lurching of the mother forces Chaylrin to abandon her weapon as she slams against the counter top from the force of the blow.

As Kage got into the house, he noticed some of the stairs were smashed, and Lennox had just gone up them.  "Well shit.  Alright hold on." Kage said, closing the door behind him as they got in.  "Hey!  What the fuck is the big idea!?" He called up the stairs

Tera followed in right behind them. "Shit, they took down the fucking stairs!" She got to the base and went on one knee, couping her hands close to the ground. "Give me your foot and ill give you a boost, but hurry."

"The doc think this'll have us... How the HELL did you enter? The whole place's blocked!"

"Fuck... anyway, the doctor thinks this'll buy me, the wounded and the family time and thought you didn't make it."

(they said nothing about the back door)

(The backdoor wasn't locked...?)

"My apologies Lennox," He looked down the semi-broken steps which were meant as a temporary trap for the zombie hoard at the others. "and as for you all you should enunciate on where you are going." He moved through the rooms looking for something to use. He grabbed some bed sheets and fashioned a makeshift rope. He handed one end to Lennox. "This should help with the stair-replacing problem."

Up the stairs Chayrlin climbs, her legs pumping as she ascends the steps as fast as she humanly can. Her eyes scan the ceiling for... there!

With a powerful jump, she grabs onto the little string and pulls with her descending weight, the attic steps coming down with ease. Grinning like a madwoman, she turns to be punched in the face by an outstretched hand. Stumbling into the room aside the steps, she has half a mind to shut the door as she falls backwards, hearing a pleasant thump from whatever punched her.

She failed her spot check, however, and the only thought that passed her mind as she turned to the ugly visage Teenage son of the couple downstairs was that how much she HATED the group who made her enter this stupid town.

(I guess we could back track, enter another house. But the damage has already been done.)

(Let's backtrack and stay outside, we could potentially meet with Chayrlin)

"Son of a bitch!" Kage yelled, pounding on the door.  It was getting darker by the minute, and they had nowhere to go.  "Alright, forget them... Fuck!" He said, "We'll meet up with them tomorrow" And with that, Kage headed forward, down the row of houses to where he thought Chayrlin hid.  The door was locked, so this must have been the place.  "Okay.  Judging by the door, this is the place.  Hold on." He moved to a window and whacked at it with the butt of his bullpup rifle, cracking the window.  "Just a little more" and with another hit, the window shattered

Idly, Chayrlin noted that more and more of the zombies broke into the house via the window. Cursing her inattentiveness, she deals with the first problem at hand. Giving a wide hay maker to the zombie teen, she grabs him by the fashionable hood he had worn while alive and drags him to the door, practically throwing him into the solid wooden mass.  The zombie's skull cracks against the frame, and as half of its body goes limp she slams the door open.

Booting the Zombie that had pushed her into the room, pissed at herself for letting it make that much noise on the way down the stairs, she turns into the room and prays to god for a good roll of her perception skill.

... Jackpot.

Roxy didn't figure then was an appropriate time to introduce herself. Assuming they ever made it to safety, she could do it then.

She was about to ask what Kage was so frustrated about when she saw the barricaded door, muttering "shit" under her breath. The vixen was quick to follow after Kage, holding her bag at her side as she glanced around, ears pricked for any signs of danger. When he started to break the window in, she stepped back, wincing slightly at the noise; she knew it was already too late for silence, but noise could mean death in the open.

Kage heard something tumble down the stairs, "This is the place" He said, boosting himself up and climbing in through the window, minding the broken glass.  He held his hand out to bring the vixen up, assuming she might need a little help with that duffel bag of hers.

Tera dropped to one knee, putting herself between Kage, the young vixen, aiming her AR at the oncoming horde. "Hurry up!"
