"Marcus do we need a ride? Lupe asked as she got her footing.

the guass hog narrowly avoiding the tank round continued to pound at the tank with it's cannon.

Krystal saw a couple of  hellfuron solider's climb over the wall and head towards marucs and lupe. "HOLD ON!" She shouted hitting the e-brake  the warthog slid sidways towards the wall slamming  the soliders between it "THAT"S FOR SHOOTING MY ALLIES!"Tala growled as she tossed a grenade over the wall before Krystal floored the gas to get away from the wall.

The tank's cannon slowly stopped moving and the robotic-tones of the Hellfurions were yelling and evacuating the tanks as smoke arose from the cockpit and it soon exploded in a loud, crashing, and thunderous explosion; parts were shot out like missles as it laid in ruins ablaze.

Regul planted her feet as the warthog swung around and she then started firing back at the gunship.

Marcus nodded and grabbed onto the side of the transport, sitting on the side of a seating slot and held his hand out to Lupe, "HERE!!!  I'LL HELP YOU IN!!!"  Explosions and sand were erupting all around them as the gunners on the transport were yelling to each other and their turrets constantly firing; bullets were buzzing by as well.

The troops Krystal ran over were slammed into the wall, a few dead but others were dazed and severly injured as the grenade Tala threw landed beside the injured troops.  They only stared at it, frightened, and it soon exploded, shooting body parts and bloody helmets flying around.

As the transports were invading the city up a rap, one of the transports' engine was shot out and was leaking fuel by the minute and soon a stray bullet slammed into it and it exploded; taking all inside with it.  The soldiers inside were either thrown out ablaze or were falling out of the transport covered in scorching and burning oil while set on fire; screaming for bloody murder as they slowly died or were shot down by the Hellfurions and Helghast atop the bridge.

Lupe jumped up to MArcus "I don't need help but thanks anyway.

KRystal was enraged by the carnage her eyes started to glow red as she avoided more fire as much as possible the sheild continued to ping loosing power and not having enough time to reacharge. soon Krystal's iris's changed to a blood red as one of the hellfrion soldiers turned on the others as if he had suddenly been brainwashed he took out a couple of his own before the rest of his own comrades shot him dead. Krystal eyes turned back to normal just in time to  avoid hitting a large rock.

The guass hog now turned it's attnetion to infanryt although not as effective  due to it's slow rate of fire the cannon could easily take out infantry.

Regul hung onto dear life as Krystal drove past the rock by just mere inches.  "GOSH!!!  TRY TO DRIVE A LITTLE MORE CAREFULLY NEXT TIME!!!"  She yelled to Krystal and proceeded to take out the troops in transports tailing them.

Ves nodded and told his driver to punch it and the transport's engine roared loudly as it jumped the ramp and sped down the long narrow road, just a few yards behind Krystal's warthog and the other four transports that were left followed closely behind Ves'.  Marcus returned fire as Hellfurion and Helghast troops were hiding and opening fire as the transports were roaring by them.  Soon, a stray bullet landed into Marcus' left shoulder, and it went limp as he tried to hold the rifle up with one hand.  "MEDIC!!!"  Blood was splattered a little on the iron bars behind him where the gunner was positioned.

After the general watched the Vektrans enter the city, he motioned to his troops to proceed back to their APC's and to follow them on the bridge.  All of them lowered their guns, turned, and jogged back into their APC's, which cranked up and idled with their diesel engines humming.  Three of the tanks were remaining and so they followed the APC's as they began advancing down the road.

"Sorry Regual taking out my anger on the enimies!" krystal apologized trying not to let her anger get the best of her again.

"Dangit marcus can you stay healed for one second!"Lupe growled pathcing up marcus the best she could she wasn't a medic but she at least knew basic first aid.

The guass hog  followed beside the chain gun hog the transport hog had been  dumped into one of the larger trasnports. the passenger vectran whistled once he got a good look at the chain hog "Whew pretty girls driving the-"he was cut off as the driver elbowed him.

Todd was with his soldiers, in defensive positions.  They took shots at the ISA soldiers.  Todd was in the steeple of an old cathedral, firing his sniper rifle, killing ISA soldiers, one by one, few shots of his were wasted.

The rest of his squad was in the surrounding area, shooting at ISA soldiers, and CDF soldiers.  Todd was losing one third of his squad already, to enemy fire.

He now took aim at a certain guass hog...

After Lupe patched Marcus up, he grasped the iron bar above him to his right while the transports traveled through turns and curves, avoiding incoming rockets and enemy armor.  He watched as the engines drowned out most of the yelling and gunfire at the passing Hellfurions, Venomians, and Helghast as they were retreating back into the city.  The gunners on the transport Marcus was stationed on was whirling around, shooting at the passing enemies and ducking as stray bullets were pinging off the transports.

As the warthog Regul was in proceeded into the city as well, she was constantly whirling the cannon back and forth, taking out oncoming enemy buggies that were shooting at them from yards away; her shields lowering a little.  "SHIELDS ALMOST DEPLETED!!!  I'LL MANAGE UNTIL THEY'RE GONE!!!"  She yelled out to Krystal while firing at the other buggies.  One of the buggies was slammed by a gauss shell in the front bumper, causing it to front flip two times while throwing the passengers out, and then crashing down on the roof; finally coming to a stop after it rolled a few times.  It then started to smoke as the warthog pressed on; the engine of the buggy was severely crippled and the passengers were instantly dead.

"HAHAAA!!!  GOT ANOTHER!!!" Regul praised while the gauss cannon reloaded with a loud CLUNK and fired once more at the oncoming buggies from the rear.

While Ves was in the passenger seat, he spotted a UAV hovering above them, like a frizby frozen in place, and soon it veered backwards.  Soon, there was a loud whistling noise originating from up in the sky and Ves held onto the bars of the transport.  "INCOMING UAV MISSLE!!!  HANG ON TO WHAT YOU GOT!!!"  Soon after, a loud explosion came from in front of the transports:  One of them in front was hammered by the missle, killing all on board, and smoke engulfing the whole block.  The transports roared through the smoke while constantly on the offensive going down the roads towards the city.

While Todd's and the general's units were positioned on the bridge, a familiar Helghan voice rang out over Todd's units' comms, "ALL HELGHAN FORCES REPORTING FROM THE BRIDGE:  EXTERMINATE THOSE ADVANCING TOWARDS THE CAPITAL!!!  CRIPPLE THEM, IF YOU MUST!!!  I DO NOT WANT TO HEAR OF ANY FALIURES!!!"  The voice was no other than General Radec of the Helghan Army; his voice strong, firm, and more commanding than any other Helghan leader.

"If you don't take Damage Regul the shield should recharge on it's own!" Krystal noted "I've re routed the  power from a few non essential systems  the 'hog's' sheilds should come up again in a second if we can avoid enough damage!"the blue Vixen added.

(Think of the personal sheilds  and the warthog's sheilds as  something similar to The Protoss plasma sheilds)

Tala assited Regul  shooting infantry with her assault rifle as they passed by.

"DANGIT HOW MANY ARE WE GOING TO LOSE!!!"Lupe shouted over the roar of the area to Ves.

The guass hog continued completely unaware of the sniper aiming for one of it's occupants.

"I DON'T KNOW, BUT KEEP YOUR WHITTS ABOUT YOU, LUPE!!!"  Marcus called back and soon the transports halted for an unknown reason.  The engines of the transports growlingly idled while what was going on in the front of the unit couldn't be seen by Ves or his driver.

"Wonder what's going on up there..."  Ves muttered to himself.  "HEY!!!  WHAT'S THE HOLD-UP??!?!?!  ARE WE HEADING TO THE F***ING CAPITAL OR NOT??!?!?!?"  Among the engines' growling, a voice shouted out from in front of the transports and the ones in front cut the power to the engine; the rest followed in unison.  All was quiet, except the distance crashing of the bombs exploding and vehicles being demolished.  All of the troops looked at one another, then looked around, wondering why everyone stopped. 

After a few minutes, a loud shot rang throughout the buildings and a Vektran soldier yelled loudly, echoing through transports, and in an instant, everyone started yelling out to one another and jumping out of the transports.  "SNIPER!!!  F***ING SNIPER!!!"  Screamed a soldier who dove behind a steel dumpster and unholstering his rifle.  Everyone yelled out to one another and soon everyone got quiet as they heard the treds of incoming tanks approaching.  Soon, constant footsteps were everywhere as the Vektran troops started dispersing about one another.

As Regul, Krystal and Tala were approaching the transports locations, a tank spotted them, angled it's cannon towards it, and thunderously fired at them; the shell exploded into a nearby building.  Regul spun the cannon around, catching the tank in her sights and was lining up her shot.

The guas warthog resumed it's anti-armor role firing  multiple shots in 10 second delays at the tank that was aiming at krystal's hog.

"HANG ON REGUL!"KRystla shouted as she drove in a evasive pattern luckly  besides the picth of the cannon the direction was always steady because of some system built into the turning turrent it would always face the same direction the gunner had it in.

Lupe dove out of the transport turning on her cloak before trying to sneak around the large now unoperable transport to spot a sniper.

Todd fired at the Guass Hog.  He missed whom he was aiming at by a hair's breadth.  "Damn!" Todd said, dully.

 

After a few minutes, a loud shot rang throughout the buildings and a Vektran soldier yelled loudly, echoing through transports, and in an instant, everyone started yelling out to one another and jumping out of the transports.  "SNIPER!!!  F***ING SNIPER!!!"  Screamed a soldier who dove behind a steel dumpster and unholstering his rifle.  Everyone yelled out to one another and soon everyone got quiet as they heard the treds of incoming tanks approaching.  Soon, constant footsteps were everywhere as the Vektran troops started dispersing about one another.

Todd fired, keeping his groupings as tight as possible. He hit one ISA soldier, wounding him.  He aimed for another soldier, and another.  He wounded every ISA soldier he aimed at.  He had a group of them pinned down, but then he stopped shooting, to conserve his ammo.

Marcus remained ducked behind a concrete barrier while the Helghan and Hellfurion forces opened fire from the bridge.  Tanks fired their cannons, which rumbled the ground around them, APCs opening fire from the bridge with their fifty-calibur mounted machine guns, and the infantry falling out of the APCs and firing from atop the bridge with their rifles and RPGs.  The rockets whistled through the air and exploded into the buildings near the parked transports, a few hitting them and causing them to explode on impact, then dust and smoke filled the area as rockets and tank shells bombarded the area.  A simmer of the Vektran soldiers were caught in the explosions and were lifted off of their feet and thrown through the air, slamming into the alluminum buildings and some crashing through windows.

Regul realised how accurate the gauss cannon was and began firing at the enemies atop the bridge.  Shells slammed into the bridge, throwing cement around and knocking a few Helghan and Hellfurion soldiers onto their backs, but getting back up and resuming their fire.  Regul kept her eyes focused on the ones atop the bridge until a the tank from earlier fired a precise round that exploded to the right side of the warthog, tossing it through the air in a barrel-roll fashion, and flung Regul out.  She lost her sense of direction as she soared in the air and then all she heard was a earslipping crack, followed by blood gushing.  Her eyes were wide the whole time she remained still and twitching a little, then slowly looked down at her body which showed a piece of a demolished transport's iron rod petruding from her chest cavity.  Her head twitched and blood seeped down her lip and covered some of her teeth as she shockingly stared at the rod; blood was pouring out from her chest and back, running down the back of her suit, and started forming a small puddle around her.

Ves watched Regul fly through the air as though she were in slow motion and watched the rod pierce her chest.  He could only watch as he saw her stare shockingly down at it and blood seeping down her lips and dripping off her chin.  His brows tensified, his grip ahold of his rifle tightened, his senses becoming more aware, and rose from around his cover and started firing down the road at the Hellfurions and Helghan forces approaching them in transport buggies.

Tala crawled from the reck of the warthog  laying Down covering fire.

Crawling out fromt thedriver seat ,dust smeared acrossher face Krystal ran to Regul looking over her "It's alright just relax."Krystal said shooting  stimpack into Regul to ease the pain and help the healing as she slowly cut the poe the white VIxen was on , she pulled her oof the remainin pole and set her to the ground as a round hit her in the back her sheild had been depleted she reared back in  pain armor taking the bullet ,but not the impact." Stay with me now!" she manage to make out ignoring the pain.

Regul continued to stare down at the rod, breathing in short gasps while gagging a little blood out.  The stimpacks were having little effect on Regul as she tried to fight to stay alive, but the rod had punctured several arteries leading to her heart, and pierced a small hole in her left lung.  "Legs...  C-Can't...  Can't..."  She stuttered out, staring up at them and trying to move them.  "*Gasppp*...  C-c-cold...  Getting...  Cold...  C-co--..*COUGH*"  Her body started to shiver slightly as the rod started to take it's toll on Regul's body and she started bobbing her head up and down, fighting for her life.

Marcus ran across the road, helping soldiers up and handing them their rifles, as he too held his position.  He turned his head towards the unit, "WE HAVE TO PRESS ON!!!  WE CAN'T STAY HERE FOR TOO MUCH LONGER!!!"  After he said this, a rocket exploded over head and concrete stones rained down around Marcus and a few soldiers. 

A voice rang out from across the street, "BUT WHERE DO WE GO??!?!?!  WE'LL THE S*** SHOT OUT OF US!!!"

"UNLESS YOU WANT TO GIVE UP WHILE WE ARE RIGHT THERE IN THE CITY, THEN BE MY GUEST AND STAY!!!"  Marcus yelled back, holding his rifle down and then sprinting along the sides of the buildings straight ahead of him.  After he left, several troops tailed him and Ves looked over his shoulder briefly before shooting over his shoulder and running in Marcus' direction.

"HEY," Ves called out to Krystal and Tala.  "WE'VE GOT TO MOVE!!!  THOSE F***ERS ARE SHOOTING THE HELL OUT OF US!!!  GET A MOVE ON!!!"

Krystal quickly worked pulling out her medical kit she quickly worked "Stay with Me REgual!" she shouted again  as she  used  all her skills to keep the vixen alive while she  worked on healing her arteries her lungs could wait.  Krysel tireless worked to keep the Vixen in front of her alive she couldn't take the fact that one she knew died once she finished with her 'miracle work shesealed the hole inher lungs and body with a canister of biofowma then held the vixen close keeping her warm with her own body heat "MARCUS I NEED A EVAC STAT!!!"She shouted holding Regul close.

Regul began shivering more intensly and tried to hung Krystal, but didn't have the strength to do so.  "Tire...  Fighting...  Ex...  Haust...  ed..."  She stuttered out through her trembling lips and enlarging pupils.  She slowly began to gasp more less, but this was only a more worse sign.

Marcus halted in his tracks and turned, looking in the direction he heard his voice.  Seeing Krystal grasping Regul closely, he started sprinting back towards them, stopping Ves as he ran by.  "TAKE THEM INTO THE CITY!!!  I'LL REJOIN WITH YOU GUYS LATER!!!"  Marcus ordered as he raced towards the two vixens; heart racing and a certain feeling of loss started surging throughout his body.  He soon was upon the two and slid down beside them, then looked at them both before calling out to the flagships.  "MARCUS RUDDLOCKE TO ANY AVAILABLE FLAGSHIPS!!!  PLEASE RESPOND!!!  THIS IS AN ERGENT MATTER!!!"  There was no respond.  Marcus knelt down beside them, just staring at Regul hopelessly as he watched her diing in front of him.  He lowered his head in distrought at the grueling sight of the bloody rod petruding from Regul's chest.

Soon, a static voice came through, "This is the flagship, Raging Vulpine:  How can we assist?"  Marcus rose his head up in sort of a shocked manner and stood up, turning away from the vixens and kneeling away from them, but shielding them from incoming bullets. 

"THIS IS MARCUS RUDDLOCKE!!!  CAN YOU SPARE ANY EVAC SHIPS TO OUR LOCATION?!?!?!"  Marcus shouted over the explosions and gunfire.

"Specify your location, Marcus."  The voice rang over his commlink.

"NEAR THE HELLFURION CAPITAL CITY:  ABOUT FIVE KILOMETERS OUT!!!"  Marcus waited patiently, heart pounding in hopes of a relieful response.  Looking around as he waited, he watched Regul gasp desperately for air while the life was leaving her and her hands were slightly clenched as she fought for her life.

Then, the voice responded back with a unsatisfied sigh, "We're sorry, Marcus.  But that area you are in is extremely hot:  There's no way any one of our ships will survive getting their, nor any ship that's cloaked."  Marcus slowly lowered his arm, staring blankly down at the ground beneath him, and tensed up.  "We're truly sorry, Marcus.  There's nothing that we can--"  Marcus shut the link off before the voice could respond and removed it from his ear.  Enraged, he drived his fist into the ground, crushing and breaking the commlink in his fist, as he scolded at it.

"God****, worthless, Vektrans!!!  NEVER RISK helping others...!!!"  He rose up and walked slowly over to Krystal and placed his hand on her shoulder, shaking his head.  Looking down painfully and in distrought, "Let her go, Krystal.  There's nothing else we can do.  We have to finish this fight..."  Marcus looked back ahead of him and proceeded walking back to the unit, but stopped beside a transport.  Glaring across at it, he slammed his fist into it, the iron bar bending, and he walked enragingly back in the unit's direction.

"I'm sorry Marcus but I can't let another go especially one I knew."Krystal said closing her eyes she set her hand on Regual's forehead and started transferring own life energy not only was this a extremely risky maneuver with all the fire flying over their heads ,but if successful there was no guarantee either of the vixens would live.

Marcus stopped in his tracks, clenching his fists as Krystal's words echoed in his head.  Without thinking, he sprinted blindly back in front of them, drawing his rifle, and opening fire on the enemies.  "DO WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO!!!  I'LL DO WHAT I CAN!!!"  He yelled to them without facing the vixens, then pulling out the clip from the rifle, throwing it aside, and slapping another into the rifle.  He aimed down the sights numerous times while firing the gun on full auto fire and was dropping troops, left and right.  Soonafter, a bullet landed into his shoulder, but he grunted as it landed.  "YOU'RE GONNA HAVE TO DO BETTER THAN THAT!!!"  He screamed as he was constantly opening fire and reloading.

Ves and the rest of the unit were a third of the way to the capital whenever he stopped, sensing something disturbing him.  Turning halfways to Marcus and the others' direction, he knew it had to have been involving them, but he had a mission to accomplish.  "A soldier's duty is serving his nation and honoring their values.  I will NOT let that oath down..."

Para was with the unit until he too felt the same thing.  Stopping, he looked around at the tanks firing in the distance and smoke arising in the clouds; the same vision he once saw back on Corneria whenever it was invaded by the Aparoids.  "I embarked on a journey for salvation and redemption...  But that soon ended in utter failure.  For the hopes of Corneria and all of those on Vektra, I will NOT let this day end in complete darkness!!"  He uttered under his breath and sprinted back down the roads, around curves, and finally down the same road Marcus and the others were stationed at.  Ignoring them, he zipped past them with blistering speed, spinning his scarlet red sabers in a propeller fashion, and cutting down troops in his path.  He then lept off the ground, raising his sabers high into the sky and reared back, he lunged back down on top of the tank that was firing at Marcus and the others, and hopped off.  He slammed his right saber onto the side of the tanks, clasped it with both hands, and sliced through it; it split in half and thunderously exploded, sending shrapnel and parts flying.

"I wish we could try that prototype armor."Tala growled as she covered Krystal and Regul

Krystal was now in a trance like state untill either Regul  said something to her or she ran out of life energy it was a desprate attempt to heal regul enough so that she would live but Krystal was willing to take the sacrafice after all she was the last of her kind anyway.

Todd set down his sniper rifle, as he looked around.  His whole squad was dead.  He walked up to the corpse of one of them, and took his machine gun, and the spare shotgun shells and drum ammo cartridges for it.

He then headed out to where he last saw a blue vixen in the distance.  He wanted to find the opposition forces...

"MARCUS, LUPE I"M GONNA NEED SOME HELP HERE!"Tala shouted

2 hours later Auroura Medical bay:

Regul and Krystal had both been transported by the trasport hog controled remotly to  a are where they could be picked up by the medical transport of the Aurora they were now both in the medical bay the white room may have seemed like heaven to the violet eyed vixen  untill she  uncoverd her self and noticed she was pratically wearing nothing but undergarments and a long strand of bandage wrapped around the center of her torso covering her wound she was lucky a IV was in her arm transfuring the last of the blood into her system it was now flushing with Saline to keep her hydrated many sensors were attached to her body keeping track of her pulse as well as other vitals. Krystal was out cold after the life energy transfusion, she too was hooked up to  a machine similar to the one Regul was on...

(I think you can work from there? Tala and  Lupe are still on the surface.)

Todd went to where Krystal was last seen by him, and the others.

"They're gone, sir." said a Helghast to Todd. 

"For now...who's left?" asked Todd.  "Well, sir, your whole unit is gone, as are many others...I just found you, and there might be some more Venomians and Helghast nearby.  I think that, aside from the General here on the battlefield, you're the highest ranking, and therefore in command for now, sir." said the Helghast private.

"The General is in charge, technically, but, yes, I know where you're getting at.  Come!  We need to gather the remaining forces, regroup, and plan for the next battle..." Todd said.

"Yes sir!" the Helghast private saluted him, and they set out to carry out their task.

While the battle of in the night waged on, the Vektran unit laid their backs against the sides of rusted metal structures and soon were dozing off.  Ves, on the other hand, was sitting Indian style on the ground with a Vektran assualt rifle bullet in his hand, rubbing it slowly and staring off in distance at the chain of shining bullets raining into the sky and fluorescent explosions rising up amongst the landskape.  Every shining event reflected off Ves' fox-like eyes as he remained still as a statue and just staring off at the war in the distance.

Marcus and Para returned back to the unit, clothes torn and hanging off, and gasping for breath as they had been running the whole time.  Strapping the guns behind their backs, they asked the soldiers for a status report and responded back about the ground units of the Hellfurion and Helghast armada were taking defensive messures of taking out the flagships, but the Vektrans were fighting back with ballistic firing missles.

"Alright,"  Marcus spoke up, "That's all I needed to know.  We'll set up camp here and wait until the sun is rising up in the distance to push on."  All the soldiers gave a satisfied sigh and started unpacking their backpacks that had long jade green lenin foils, metal rods they had to assemble themselves in parts, and zippers that they had to attach by hand onto the tents; took them approximately and hour to fully get done with them.

Marcus and Para finished their tents and crawled in, calling out to each other to have a good night's sleep, confirming each other.  Taking off his torn coat and cybernetic eyepatch, then setting his rifle on safe and setting it, too, aside, he flopped back onto his cloth bed, sighing as he had his eye closed and relaxing a little.  "Finally," He mumbled, "Some ACTUAL rest..."

A scout from the Hellfurions was watching the Vektrans from a variable distance and was reporting constant information back to Todd and the general.  "They have all reported to sleeping bunks for the night.  I am reporting back to your designated positions as we speak.  They will not be fighting again until the very few minutes of sunrise.  Over."  It spoke in a quiet, raspy voice, then zipped off into the night back to Todd's and the general's new unit.
