Todd received his "education" from the Helghasts. 

He was strapped into the chair, the helmet placed over is head and face, and he was seeing images and hearing captions spoken out about "the atrocities committed by the ISA", on Earth, Vektra, and Helghan.  He learned of the "bravery of the Helghast colonists" who traveled so far, to escape the oppression of the "evil ISA government", he saw the atrocities of the first Helghan war....committed by the ISA.

As Todd was watching and hearing this stuff, he struggled, screamed...he was horrified by what he saw..."the atrocities of the ISA scum"...after the "education" session ended, the helmet and straps on the chair were removed from Todd, and he got up from the chair. 

General Belial stood before Todd.  "How are you, Todd?" he asked.  "I am proud to serve as part of the Helghast Army.  Death to the ISA Imperialst Scum!  Death to Vektra, and Earth!" Todd said in a mechanical tone.

General Belial chuckled viciously.  Todd was now brainwashed, and serving the Helghast!

As Marcus stared down the scope of the sniper rifle, the Hellfurion infantry out in front were walking around, scavenging for something while the tanks and gunships provided cover.  The tanks' long barrels whirred around as they were aimlessly keeping guard and the unmanned gunships igniting their thrusters as they, too, were keeping guard and their robotic gun arms swirled around as it stopped. 

"STICK TOGETHER!!!"  The commanding Hellfurion officer announced to the men in front of him, "THERE WAS AN INEVIDABLE BATTLE HERE SO SEARCH AND FIND WHAT ALL YOU CAN!!!"  The troopers were crouched over, searching in the sand and feeling around for anything in the sand they could find.

Taking a deep breath, Marcus slowly cocked the sniper rifle, placed his left hand to the budd of the rifle, and press it tightly against his shoulder.  "Hey,"  He whispered to Dash, "Get ready..."  After saying this, he could hear his heartbeat racing in his ears as the targets became so vivid, they seemed as though they were in front of him.  As his crosshairs hovered over the commanding officer's head, Marcus mumbled something under his breath, then an extremely loud gunshot was fire, causing his shoulder to recoil and dust flying off around him and Dash.

After the shot was made, the unit dispersed into eight groups of four soldiers while flanking to the left and right of the patrol.  Within seconds, they were opening fire upon them, causing the tanks' cannons to whirr around to the units, then fire loud thunderous rounds, and the gunships zipping around, trying to get locks onto the soldiers below it and firing it fifty-millimeter vulcan gatling guns.

Krystal opened fire with her Gatling gun at the Gunships trying to take them down, this however revealed her position with the large blue muzzle blast from the gatling gun.

Tala started to pick off any soliders she coudl get into the cross hairs of her Sniper rifle.

Ruby held dash down she didn't want him to get hurt anymore than he already had. Pulling out her sniper she pressed some butons, turned some knobs her sniper was really a  portable Rail gun, she had just turned the power up aiming for one of the tanks she fired a loud electric Crack could be heard near her and Dash as her rail sniper fired at full power the bullet accelerated quickly  gaining speed before it  went through the tank ruby had aimed at.

Lupe  stayed behind marcus one of her heavy blaster pistols in her hand.

Gunshots were echoing throughout the area as the Vektrans and other squadmates in the unit were engaging on the patrol team.  The tanks were being bombarded by rockets from three demolitionists in each of the four manned groups, and one of the gunships spotted Krystal, letting an alarm sound, and zipped around, hovering over her, and then started firing down at her; vulcan bullets thumping into the ground as a few missed.

Marcus cocked the gun, exiting the used round, and a new round was loaded automatically into the chamber.  He stared down it again, then took another breath, firing it off again, dropping a Hellfurion trooper instantly.  He reloaded and fired again, but this time it attracted a tank's attention and it's long barrel whirred around and aimed straight at Marcus' position.  He slowly lifted his eye away from the scope, turned to Dash and Lupe, then yelled, "GET DOOOOWWWWNNNN!!!!!"  Soon after, the tank fired, rumbling the ground around it, and the shell exploded into the hill Marcus was sitting in, launching him through the air and slamming into a hill; rolling down it and coming to a halt face-down in the dirt.  Motionless.

Regul heard Marcus' scream, zipped her head around to see a smoke cloud rising up from the hill, and debris landing back to the ground.  She only watched, stunned, for a few moments, then turned her attention back to the tanks.  She pulled out a C-4 charge, turning on her cloak, then sprinted across the battlefield towards the tanks, then set charges on all of the tanks.  She was running back until her cloak disengaged, gasping, then looking over her shoulder as the turret on top of the tank turned and fire it's fifty-caliber rounds straight at Regul.  Her body flew a few feet, arms stretched out to the sky, head whipped back, and screaming as the several rounds thudded into her back.  She slammed into the ground onto her back as her body twirled around in the air, then her squadmate ran over, and drug her back into cover; wheezing from the bullet wounds to her back, possibly puncturing her lungs.

Luep had flown with marcus she moaned she was mostly alright thanks to her shield taking most of the impact  but marcus was on top of her and that really didn't help her emotion."MARCUS!"SHe screamed,trying to wake him up by shaking him she couldn't get im off makign both of them sitting ducks.

bullets pinged off of Krystals sheild its power was delepleting rapidly she stuck the back of her gatling gun into the ground and fired straight up at the gunship above her it crashed to the ground as she ran from her position towards Regul's landing site "WHat's wrong?"She quickly asked pulling out her medic kit. Quickly working Krystal took the bullets from REguls body filling any holes with a biodegradable foam it would fill everything ,she'd prbly cough up a little blood and maybe some foam ,but the other foam would seal her wounds till her body healed them.

Rubylooked around  panicing she fired another round  at a tank the  electrical shcock boomed again as her sniper rail gun fired at the tank.

Dash couldn't hear a thing, the tank shell had thrown him a few feet, but he wasn't hurt. However, he was in shell shock, he couldn't hear anything at all. Everything around him was a massive blur. In a few moments, he had regained some of his senses. Marcus was down, and Lupe was screaming. He wasn't moving, was he dead? Dash didn't know. He saw Ruby attempting to take out the tank with her rail gun. Suddenly, something landed right next to Ruby, a looked like a rock, but as his senses came back, he realized what it was.

It was a grenade.

Dash made a mad dash toward Ruby. "RUBY! MOVE!!!!!!" He screamed. He roughly shoved her away and grabbed the grenade. He lobbed it back toward the Hellfurions, but as he stood, a soldier saw him. Dash tried to drop down, but he had already fired. Dash felt a round hit him in his right shoulder, opposite of his injured arm. He staggered backwards, trying to regain his balance, a second shot rang out and Dash felt something impact his gut.

He fell, landing square on his back. He was in shock, his eyes blank, staring straight up at the blue sky. His head rolled to the side and he saw where he had shoved Ruby. He just stared at her as the sight before him began to dim.

He fell, landing square on his back. He was in shock, his eyes blank, staring straight up at the blue sky. His head rolled to the side and he saw where he had shoved Ruby. He just stared at her as the sight before him began to dim.

"DANGIT DASH RUBY TOLD YOu TO TURN ON YOUR SHEILD!!!"KRystal growled as she ran towards dash blasting any enemies near him with her heavy blaster pistol before she began to work on him "I'm not going to lose you I promised Sheila You'd come back."Krstal said ash she patched Dash up as quickly as possible. "Serena emergency evac!"

Ruby was really mad now she pulled out a machine gun she had been saving for later, she sprayed bullets towards the hellfuions in front of her and her teammates in a blind rage as she mowed down the opposition.

Dash fought to stay conscious. The shield, how could he have been so stupid! It was a rookie mistake, how could he have made such a fatal mistake!

Dash was delirious. He saw Krystal above him trying to stop the bleeding. He mumbled.

"guhhhh............ Sheila........... forgive me............" Images of Sheila and Ruby flew through his mind, mingling with reality. The pain in his gut began to get worse, an image flew through his mind, his little sister and Ruby crying over his dead body.

Little Sheila. All alone. He had broken his promise.

Suddenly Dash let a wail, that one image was more than he could take. "I-guh. I DON'T WANT TO DIE!!!!" he yelled. He was losing it. He began to thrash around. He cried over and over again. "I DON'T WANNA DIE, I DON'T WANNA DIE!!!!"

[Kursed]

"Whoa now relax!"Krystla shouted shooting some morphinr into dash to relevei his pain. "Your not dead yet."

The pain in his gut subsided, but he started to cry, he hadn't cried like this since he had first ended up on the streets as a kid. Krystal's words didn't seem to register, he was too scared.

"SHEILA!" he shouted through the tears. "I'M SORRY! I WANT SHEILA!"

Ruby Rushed over to Dash after annilating the rest of the hellfurion patrol "DAsH!" She shouted to him looking over at him.

A few more explosions landed around Marcus' and Lupe's position, but Marcus was still conscious enough to roll himself off of Lupe.  Staring at the sky and blinking dileriously, blood was trinkling down his head and staining his fur as he patted himself slowly down for any wounds.  There were none from what he could tell.  Looking around, Marcus felt his face, feeling the wet blood along his head, then rubbing his eyepatch.  He only groaned as he felt the glass on the eyepatch cracked and barely working.  So, he removed it and threw it to the side and rose to his knees; staring blankly out into the battlefield in a daze.

Regul looked over at Krystal before she left with an eye closed, then she reached for her silenced machine pistol, but it was out of reach.  Right then, the squadmate that had drug her back handed her a sidearm and proceeded back to firing.  But she realised that she still had the C-4 detonator in her hand and looked around the corner.  "Go to H***, you bastards...!"  She said under her breath and pressed the charge.  The C-4 beeped a few times, then all four of the tanks exploded all at once with a blistering explosion, parts flying about, and the sound of metal clanging all around as it exploded.

Soon after, the troopers around the tanks were set ablaze and were flailing their arms, screaming in pain.  Several dropped to the ground, rolling about, trying to extinguish themselves, but they were instantly gunned down by the Vektrans assaulting them.  All that was left were the three gunships hovering above the unit shooting at them.  Everyone in the unit soon turned their attentions to the gunships in the air and opened fire immediately; the gunships reacting quickly and gunning down three men after they opened fire.

The spotter from earlier ran down from the hill and started shooting at the gunships.  As she was approaching the unit, one of the gunships zipped around and opened fire upon her; tearing through her suit and shooting blood all around the area she was in.  She then tumbled to the ground with massive three inched bullet holes in her body and covered in blood.

Dash's cries began to subside and his thrashing became slower. He looked over to Ruby, seeing her was a comforting sight, he still had tears in his eyes.

"Ruby.......... I'm so sorry.......  I......... didn't think." His breathing became more labored.

[Kursed]

"Relax Dash your not dead."Ruby sighed.

"Take care of him Ruby." Krystal growled once she saw the spotter gunned down, Pulling out a homeing rocket launcher she shot a rocket at one of the gunships the Rocket sped towards it's target hitting it. The gunship explosded in mid air. "SOmbody get the body of that spotter I'm tired of seeing Dieing Comrades female or male this will end now."Krystal growled at the bottom of her throat she threw down her weapons and pulled out what seemed to look like a sword hilt her pack transformed to a jump jet pack. Krystal rushed towards the other gunship jumping up on top of it she placed her hilt downwards toward it activating it. A blue blade formed cuttting into the gunship destroying it Krystal  jumped down to the spotter hopeing she had enough life left in her as she cleaned the large wounds then filled them with biofoam. She stood over the spotter her sword back on her belt waiting to see if the spotter was still alive.

Undoubtedly, the spotter was dead; a bullet wound to the heart instantly cut off her blood supply, thus causing instant death.

The other gunships were being pulverized by the rest of the unit, while one of the soldiers abandoned his post and ran over hearing Krystal's order.  He slid down beside the runner, setting his gun aside and panting unrelentlessly, and turned her over.  He saw her expression was blank with her mouth open and smeared with blood, and he leaned in to hear any breathing.  None.  He then lifted her arm to check for a pulse.  There, too, was none.  He let her hand go, picked up his gun, then quickly stood up, panting and stared at Krystal, "I'M SORRY, MA'AM!!!  BUT THERE'S NOTHING I CAN DO!!!"  He yelled over the constant gunfire and explosions.  "A ROUND PENITRATED HER HEART AND FOUR OTHER ARTERIES, CUTTING OFF HER BLOOD SUPPLY, THEN CAUSING INTERNAL BLEEDING WHICH LED TO HER UNTIMED DEATH!!!  SHE'S K.I.A!!!"  After reporting to Krystal, he turned back around and sprinted off back to his post; resuming his fire.

With one last ditch effort, Regul summoned some more of her strength she had left, rising to her feet, and grasping another C-4 charge; her last.  With all her might, she let loose a loud grunt, throwing the C-4 through the air and towards the gunship.  But, to her dismay, the gunship zipped to the side, and the C-4 slapped to a rock behind the soldiers in cover.  Sensing defeat, Regul collapsed onto the rocky barrier, then slid down onto the ground unconscious; the wounds had gotten to her and drained her of her energy.

Marcus then rose to his feet and walked back towards the hill, aimlessly.  On the way up, he grabbed the sniper rifle on the ground beside the hill, then continued up the hill until he was back in his original position.  Still in a transive daze, Marcus aimed the rifle up towards the gunship, feeling a bit light-headed as he did so but shook it off, and lined up his shot.  He fired; missing by five inches.  This caused the gunship to whirl around and look Marcus dead in the eye.  Reloading, Marcus aimed again, fired, and missed; way off target.  This caused the gunship to become very aggitated and focus on Marcus, since his gun had more penitration power.  Marcus reloaded once more and fired; landing on target and causing the gunship to lower it's guns and a low turning off sound was heard, followed by a loud explosion, smoke clouds flying in every direction, and flaming parts flying everywhere.  The hull of the gunship spiraled to the ground and exploded as it made contact.

After he saw the gunship explode and the gust from the explosion pushing his furr back, Marcus dropped the rifle unintentionally and started falling backwards.  His body felt weak, his vision was blurring, and he didn't know the reality of his injuries.  Soon following, Marcus collapsed onto the side of the hill, sliding then ragdoll-ish rolling down the hill until he slowed to a halt at the bottom; out but still conscious.

"I'm not letting another one DIe."Krystal growled "You will pay for the lives cost today."Krystal growled eyes glowing she pulled out her rocket laucnehr again and fired at another gunship before RUnning to Regul. once  near her she placed her hand on Reguls forehead transfuring her extra enegry created from the Rage she had towards the hellfurions.

Lupe ran to marcus tripping over him she landed with a loud thump..."Krystal's furious."she muttered laying on her side near marcus.

"Dash stay with me your fine."Ruby mutter rubbing Dash's stomach.

Regul slowly woke up and looked around.  "Quickly Krystal, GET TO COVER!!"  She ordered, alerted without knowing the skirmish was over.  The squadmates in her group looked at each other, then shrugged not knowing that Regul didn't remember anything after she fell unconscious.

Ves, along with his group on other side of the road, rose up looking around with their rifles still drawn, then lowered them whenever they saw there were no more hostiles in the area.  "-Sigh-...  We have GOT to have a better sabotage tactive than this..."  Ves groaned as he reloaded his rifle. 

"What did you have in mind, sir?"  A private asked while he was reaching around his belt for a clip.

Ves pointed around with his rifle to the dead squadmates and carnage around them, "Not this, I'll tell ya'..."

"I've had it with whacthing Squad mates die in front of me ,Regul I'll probably regret this later but I'm authorizing the Aurora for planetary bombardment, I've had it with this war it's time to end it.  "Krystal growled the anger still in her, eyes still glowing they were literally glowing with the energy she had.

Soon after, the sky became a dark gray, then followed by a bright light with the sound a thunder and electricity.  The AA gun they had in their main city finally fired and soon several explosions were in the distance.

"MAYDAY, MAYDAY!!!  DOES ANYONE READ!!!  WE'RE HIT!!!  NORMANDY ONE IS HIT!!!  WE'RE--- AAAAGGHHHHH-- *kssshhhhhhhhhhhh*"  The Normandy 1 was one of the two flagships hit from the blast.  Soon after, a familiar voice rang through.

"DAMAGE REPORT!!" The voice rang out through the rest of the unit's in the area's comm's.  "THIS IS CRYING STALLION!!!  WE'VE BEEN HIT BY THE HELLFURION'S AA IMPLACEMENTS AND WE'VE LOST POWER TO STATIONS ALPHA AND GAMMA!!!"  In the background, the V.I. of the Crying Stallion could be heard reporting damage throughout the ship; chiming in, 'Systems disabled in:  Alpha and Gamma station.  Damage is critical!'  The flight commander then rang back through, "CAN ANYONE READ ME FROM THE SURFACE???!!!  WE HAVE A SPARE TRANSPORT WE CAN SEND OUT TO PICK WHOEVER UP AND TRANSPORT THEM--- AGH! ---  TRANSPORT THEM TO THEIR DESTINATION!!!"

"Serena target the A implacements and Fire at will."Krystal growled into her communicator .

As if on cue the Aurora started to move into orbit it's cannons aiming towards the surface.

"Let's get moving before more die."Krystal growled.

[Guest Para Astaroth]

"Roger that!"  A few soldiers said after one another and started picking up their comrads under the arm and carrying them; a few limping due to certain injuries.

Regul soon snapped out of her unawareness and got up.  She motioned to her men and they followed right behind her.  The pain she indured from the gunships were setting in, but she only cringed a little as short, painful urges shot through her body.

Ves finally reloaded his gun and walked off with his troops.  Soon, he stopped and looked around, "Where's Marcus and the others?"  As if responding immediately, Para turned and zipped off back up towards the hill and found Marcus liing on the ground on the side of the hill.

"Marcus,"  He said in a quick, firm tone, "Get up!"  Marcus groaned a little and started getting up, but was having a little difficulties rising up.  So, Para assisted and put Marcus' arm over his shoulder, and helped him up. 

Looking about, Marcus seemed as though he were searching for something.  "Where's...  Lupe...?"  he asked in a grumbling tone, still unaware of his location and a bit dazed.  Para then set Marcus down and looked around.

"Do you remember the last place you saw her?"  Para asked in response.

"N-no...  All I remember is a loud explosion, my ears fading out, and slamming into a hill; rolling down the side...  and coming to a halt.  That's when I heard her voice...  Then...  nothing..."  Marcus was holding the side of his head, not realising blood was running down it, and tried his best to think.

"That's alright,"  Para assured Marcus and turned around to go look for her, "I'm sure she's tough woman to handle."

[Kursed]

Rubbing her head Lupe noticed her name had been spoken "ugg I'm right behind you donut  head."She moaned getting up.

Dash heard everything going on around him as he fought to stay conscious. He was finally back in a sane state of mind. Having Ruby next to him was comforting. He heard that an evac order had been given, and they would be leaving soon.

"You know what Ruby......" Dash grunted. "......... I suck as a foot soldier...... this is why I like being a pilot." Dash chuckled weakly.

He looked around at the others. "How much longer?" he asked

[Kursed]

"Any soilders that are wounded stay here you'll be in the  Aurora for the rest of the battle I will not  see anymore comrades fall before me."Krystal muttered as a  computer controled medical transport sent from the Aurora landed near them all.

"Depends on how long it takes you to get up."Ruby smiled.
